You dont see a single penny and the finance company (either carnege consumer finance, or Caledonian consumer finnace) will hound you for payments

I had a very disappointing experience with this training provider and would strongly advise others to think carefully before enrolling.

I paid over £5,000 for a course that promised practical training, proper learning support, and certification at the end. Unfortunately, this is not what was delivered.

Most of the material provided was just basic PDF documents, with no structured teaching or meaningful support. Despite asking multiple times (more than 10 occasions) for practical training, this was never properly arranged or delivered.

Communication has also been a major issue. There is no clear or reliable contact method — no proper email address and phone communication is very limited or hidden. Most of the initial promises were made through agents, but once payment was completed, the service did not match what was described.

To make matters worse, I was later told that my course had “expired,” even though I was not given a fair opportunity to complete it or access the practical components that were promised from the beginning.

For the price charged, this service falls far below reasonable expectations and does not reflect what was advertised. I feel that I have not received the service I paid for.

I am now formally requesting a full refund and will be escalating this matter further if it is not resolved.

I would strongly recommend that anyone considering this provider ensure they get all promises clearly confirmed in writing before making any payment.

The trade world is completely Alien to me, having worked in retail and as a delivery driver with a degree in Zoology. Going into the training centre I was a nervous wreck, but the staff put me at ease from minute one. Learning the practical side of plumbing was made simple, clear instruction and a feeling of accomplishment when all the practice pays off.

I recently completed my plumbing practical and theory exams, and I cannot recommend this center enough. From start to finish, the entire staff was absolutely great—welcoming, professional, and always ready to assist.

A special shoutout to my tutor, whose support was invaluable. Being the only woman in the class during week 1 could have felt daunting, but my tutor was incredibly patient, encouraging, and helpful throughout the entire process. They took the time to ensure I fully understood both the hands-on practical work and the theory.

How on earth do you people running this business genuinely sleep at night ? Like even look at yourselves in the mirror. Yeah you've got the odd balls who claim to of been happy with the service but I tried this course a year or 2 ago and ended up getting a full refund but I look at all these other poor people and you are genuinely ruining people's lives ? My credit score took a hit because I refused to pay for your dodgy bogus course. And I was one of the lucky ones who got a refund because your course tutor basically told me your own course doesn't make any sense.

Can I just ask you one thing you'll probably claim you have no history of me doing the course but genuinely how do you guys sleep at night knowing youre going after young lads trying to better themselves in life, and you're just roping them into a contract which is impossible to get out of ? Someone needs to contact BBC watch dog over you guys because I genuinely think it's evil what you're doing.

The practical training session was highly informative and beneficial. It provided valuable exposure to industry practices and helped me develop a better understanding of the course.
The teachers were very helpful and supportive in delivering the courses.

Company take to long to make a pratical section appointement

Gary is an exemplary teacher, he talks you through what to do and also shows you how to do it, in complex situations he steps in and show you how to resolve the challenges one step at a time, which is what is required in the real world.

As someone who only welds when I visit the training centre, the staff are always willing to help me with any issues I may have, they are always happy help.

Honestly I joined over a year ago just turned 18 didn’t have a job sales person Ali completely fooled me. Told me to edit my bank statement because I got paid cash in hand and couldn’t price payments over £1000 was under the impression it was subscription based. This guy came into my house and as I was young I felt pressured to sign that contract same day, he said there was only limited spaces available. Most importantly it was present as work at your own pace so when I started getting extra charges for late work I tried cancelling told me only way to cancel If I had a serous medical issue. Cherry on top it was presented as interactive learning I thought it would be live online classes, nope just a text book complicated system to navigate and limited help. No my credit scores bad thanks mate

My experience with EER has been extremely disappointing and, in my view, misleading from the very beginning.

Before enrolling, I was repeatedly told that this was a “work at your own pace” course and that I could complete it within my own timeframe. What I was not clearly informed of was that failing to complete the course within a specified period would result in additional charges. I believe this information should have been made much clearer during the sales process.

The course was also presented as being highly interactive. While I understood that some self-study would be involved, I was not prepared for the fact that the vast majority of the learning material consists of reading from textbooks. For anyone who struggles to learn primarily through reading, this may not be the right course. In my case, I found this particularly challenging and felt that little consideration was given to alternative learning needs.

Although tutor support is available, I received very little guidance on how to effectively use that support. It took me nearly two years to understand how to ask for the help I needed. For much of the course, I felt unsupported and out of my depth despite making a genuine effort to succeed.

As a neurodivergent student, I requested reasonable adjustments to help me access the course more effectively. The only adjustment offered was additional exam time which can only make the examination process more challenging rather than easier.

Communication and administration have also been a significant concern. I frequently received conflicting information through emails, letters and text messages regarding exam dates, times and locations. The various departments appear to operate independently, making it difficult to obtain clear answers or resolve issues efficiently.

A particular source of frustration has been the practical assessment arrangements. My understanding of the contract was that practical centres would be agreed between the student and the provider. However, after the closure of the centre closest to me, I was directed towards a centre in Wolverhampton, which is not a reasonable travelling distance for me. As someone earning minimum wage, the additional travel costs are difficult to justify. Despite raising these concerns, I have found little willingness to explore alternative solutions and they are happy to leave me unable to complete the course.

Due to what I believe are failures to deliver key aspects of the course as originally presented, I requested a partial refund so that I could pursue training better suited to my needs. This request was refused, leaving me with little option but to escalate the matter through formal complaints procedures and seek independent advice.

Overall, I feel that this course has provided far less support and flexibility than was promised during the sales process. Instead of helping me progress my career, it has created unnecessary stress, delays and additional expense. Based on my experience, I would advise prospective students to carefully review the course structure, time limits, support arrangements and assessment locations before committing to EER’s false promises.

A serious warning...

To everyone seeking to gain skills in plumbing, electrical work, or gas engineering: do not be deceived by this fraudulent company. They are an extremely dangerous company. From the very beginning, they lie to you about their methods, procedures, and even the number of training centres they have. They even mislead you about the start dates of the practical classes, and you do not realise this until the deadline for cancelling your contract has passed. At that point, you find yourself trapped in a situation where cancelling this modern form of scam becomes practically impossible.

This company, together with another finance company, places you on a path with no way back. The quality of training is extremely poor. The instructors at the centres are very rude, disrespectful, and do not teach you anything of value.

The training programme at this college is designed in such a way that very few people can complete the course within the stated timeframe. This is because they constantly keep you waiting for practical classes while feeding you repetitive and pointless online material. When the practical classes finally take place, they hardly spend any time teaching you and simply want to finish the session as quickly as possible and leave.

Please, before enrolling on any course, thoroughly research companies like this and do not fall for the lies of their sales representatives and promoters.
Until recently, the vast majority of reviews were negative. I am not sure how this changed, but recently a number of positive reviews have appeared, which raises concerns about their authenticity.

I would like to say the ERR college is a really good place and nice staff so it's highly recommended .

Found the staff fairly rude and was asking for guidance and that wasn’t met, had a good time last time I went but this was unenjoyable and made me behind in my practical work, wouldn’t recommend Wolverhampton and Garry wasn’t a good tutor.
