Hi, I have been using them more than one year.They stole our money via a charge back. I strongly suggest you to not use them,they are scammers. I passed everything,but some people bought food from my shop and paid and left, and Evo told me to send their details and I sent camera footage and receipts. After that I saw Evo took from my account they changed me 10 times my usual bill. And I called them to know because some scammers scammed them and Evo scammed us. Anyone using this company be careful I think they are doing this on purpose to get more money from you. I have asked them to investigate they don’t, but I am going to do something because they scammed us. Therefore they stole our money

Avoid EVO at all costs!! Their non-existent customer care and negligence have severely damaged our previously perfect credit score.
We’ve spent six months chasing them to resolve incorrect arrears caused by Takepayments mismanagement, who admitted their fault IN WRITING. Despite sending EVO this written proof and a formal complaint back in February, we have faced absolute silence! No response, no resolution, and ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY!
It is incredibly frustrating acting as a middleman fixing their administrative blunders while our credit rating takes the hit.
This is the worst customer service we’ve ever encountered. If you value your financial health and your sanity, look elsewhere. EVO, we expect an immediate response and a fully rectified credit file!

We decided to work with evo payments through take payments. The machine was installed last Tuesday 26th May. They ensured us that payments would be made next day into our account. We are now over a week on and they are holding over 15,000 with not a single response from evo payments. All I’m being told is the settlement team will be in contact but nobody has contacted me. I’m ringing everyday. Absolute scam! Currently seeking legal advice DO NOT use this company.

Please avoid this company like the plague. They’re holding on to my money for 2 weeks despite our previous director named the current director as the new appointee to whom to release the settlement to, but they keep passing me backwards and forwards to Takepayments, the company that initially signed me up. Very disappointing.
I moved away from Evo purely on a price basis. I tendered cancellation/notice which was accepted. To my shame I didn't notice Evo were still taking rental payments for my terminal.
I spoke to Ella who said they'd had a technical hitch their end and I would be refunded.
She then emailed back to say that because the cancellation notice was sent from a slightly different (still an official company one) email address they wouldn't issue the refund - Even though the acknowledgement came through to the sending email with our correct company details and the account was cancelled - so they clearly knew who we were!!
I've asked for this to be escalated and asked for a response 5 times and have received nothing. I'm hoping an unfavourable review will elicit a response. I was previously a happy customer and this problem could have been dealt with swiftly and I would still have been happy. I am not happy now. Ignoring your customers is no way to retain or win back business.

Beware sent an email to say I was cancelling. I cancelled the direct debit after the months notice, only to be contacted a month later to say it had to be done over the phone. I was charged £15 for not using the card machine & had to pay another months rental and will probably have to pay again in April!!

Just taken over a local pub and decided to stick with evo as the current provider although I found world pay offered me a much cheaper quote but evo matched their price. thought it would save me the hassle.unfortunately their card terminals have failed for the past 3 days causing loss of stock and lost business.Having called the support line I was on hold for 1 hour and then told we will have your terminals up and running tomorrow morning.i told them I have customers waiting to pay and I need the machines otherwise I will have to close the pub.i had the usual sorry but the tech team was not available. The next day the terminals still not working.As a company I have no confidence in this company and the support is dreadful.

Worst company to implement digital solutions. I tried to change my bank details, took me over an hour as the chat bot is extremely flimsy and the smallest screen possible and it still didn't work. Called them and was routed to the chatbot again. Not sure if I want to work with a company like Evo anymore. Time wasters!

There systems go down a lot you call customer service snd they haven't got a clue what is going onwitj there own system issue now been without card transaction clearing all day which has cost me money.
I will certainly be looking at other options as this can damage any company.

A typical example of a company that automates everything so much that they forgot to do the simple things in finance to make the process simple. Spoke to the customer service team and the 'No can do" attitude is so typical of lazy companies. Apologies for expecting to match my payments through you with a logical reference so I can match it with my accounts.. but Oh no that would be asking for too much. Utter garbage .. I will not be renewing with them again.

WORTH READING: for all small business owners.
As a small business owner, I have had the worst experience with Evo Payments.
We have been open for nearly 3 months, signed up with Take Payments - card machine provider and Evo Payments as merchant service provider.
Evo Payments, as a merchant service provider / card processor, is responsible for setting our account with Amex in order for our card machine to accept Amex card payments. However, somehow they did not set up our account properly with Amex and mixed up our special Amex Payments ID so all of the payments made with Amex cards were not sent to Amex. Hence, Amex was not able to finalize the transactions and release the payouts to us.
As a small business, cashflow is extremely crucial and our money has been stuck at Amex for 3 months without any resolutions from Evo Payments, even though it is clearly their responsibility to send the transaction details to Amex to get us paid! They keep telling us that they are working on it, but for 3 months, nothing has been done.
It has been stressful, frustrating and hopeless after so many calls and efforts to get our money back. Until the moment I write this review, our money is still nowhere to be seen.
Please, small business owners, DO NOT use any card machines that are processed by Evo Payments if you don't want to beg for your hard-earned money. They think we are small businesses, so we are not worthy of their attention and resources.
