we needed an immediate gift card for a last minute birthday party. The website showed a money-off coupon code. I went through the purchase process, watching for place to enter it, never found it. I pushed what I thought was just another button in the process of buying it and the purchase finalized. Then the confirmation screen said, "It can take 60 minutes to 6 hours to receive the electronic download card" We couldn't wait that long. I don't even know where the card was sent, we never received it. 48 hours later I submitted a refund request based on those issues and I was told that I checked the terms and conditions button and I should have read it. No refunds. NO REFUNDS FOR A CARD I NEVER RECEIVED? Three weeks later, still no card. But hey, big shout out to PayPal, I contacted them next to contest the charge and the robot read the details of my dispute and issued a refund on the spot. No wait time, no push back, 100.00 back in my account. I will not use Fandango ever again and I will use PayPal more.
Customer service is useless
Customer service is useless. I have a giftcard that hasn't been used. They will "escalate" it to the correct department. Zero ownership. Can't speak to a real human.
Double charges and awful buffering.
I have had several issues over my experience with this program since it was called VUDU. It has terrible buffering issues even when you are using gigabyte internet speeds (I have had my singal/speed tested during some of these buffering issues). But the on top of that, they charged me twice for a Despicable Me bundle that I had purchased. When I asked a refund for one of the purchases, they admitted that they had a glitch in their system but claimed I was never charged the first time. I sent them screen shots of my charge account to prove that it had occurred, and I habe not received a response from them since. I STILL have not received a refund. My recommendation, use a credit card to pay for any of the movies that you pur hase here so that you can dispute the charges when they pull stunts like this.
Gift cards are impossible to use
I have Fandango gift cards. Want to take my grandkids to see a movie. When I go to the website to purchase tickets NOTHING WORKS. No problems with any other website so it is the Fandango site. Went and loaded stupid ap on my phone. Went through process. entered their riduculously-long 19-digit Card # into the frickin check out. Only to get an error: We are unable to process your order. Sat on hold for 20 minutes on the customer service number and finally hung up. WILL NEVER, EVER USE FANDANGO AGAIN FOR ANYTHING and I will tell everyone I know.

Fandago is horrible they don't care about there customers. When I was on the phone with them they where rude and didn't care about the situation I brought to them.
Terrible customer service
I was charged double when I hit pay, never received my tickets because the email on file had a typo, and couldn’t reach customer support through their website chat at all. I only managed to find a phone number elsewhere. When I finally spoke to someone, I was denied a refund simply because I called after the movie ended — despite the fact that I never received the tickets and was overcharged. Very frustrating experience and zero accountability. I will not be using Fandango again.
Will never use Fandango again
Wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. I made a mistake in selecting the theater (Cinema de Lux Lowell instead of Cinema de Lux Hanover) and could not make an exchange. Zero customer service. Will never use this site again.

Wasn't able to easily refund my tickets because I had used a promo code. So by the time I called at 3:02, it was 2 minutes after the show time. Can't get a refund. Just use the theater you are going to to buy tickets, fandango is a pointless service
STAY AWAY!!
Unbelievable buffering issues make this service completely unusable. Everything worked fine under Vudu, and I had built a modest movie library. Since the switch to Fandango I can't make it through a single sitting without extreme buffering issues, regardless of the movie definition. Now the app just completely restarts in the middle of watching. The only reason I keep the app is for the movies I already purchased, but honestly I'd rather go back to DVDs. My TV is less than a year old, high speed internet, and all other apps work perfectly. The issue is clearly Fandango.
since VUDU became fandango home
since voodoo became fandango at home. I have had nothing but problems trying to stream my movies. The latest one tells me that there’s an error and I’m in the middle of a movie and it won’t play. They call it a playback error. If you’ve not used fandango at Home, I recommend you avoid it.
First and Last Experience with this Company...
I had never used this service before....bought a ticket to zootopia 2 and forgot the time and missed it....I called for help and the lady told me their policy is returns/exchanges are only allowed before the movie starts. She told me happy holidays and that was that....I paid for a movie I never got to see....I was really disheartened that they didn't make any exceptions as I never used the ticket. It was my first time with this company and my last.

If I could leave negative stars
If I could leave negative stars, I would. I had a promotional code that I used for a ticket purchase, but later had to change my showtime. Company policy says that promotional codes are non-refundable and non-transferable, so I completely lost the entire value of my promo code. I called customer service to see if a supervisor could help with giving me a credit, but the customer service agent literally laughed at me. I understand upholding company policies, as frustrating as that can be for the customer, but the agent laughing at customers is unacceptable.
Worst App Ever!
Worst app ever! We have 5g fiber Wi-Fi (internet) and every other app works just fine. We just had a new modem installed and our Wi-Fi is stable and high speed. Fandango At Home app buffers ALL THE TIME! Biggest problem is that the TV series we have bought do not show up on Movies Anywhere so we are stuck with this terrible service. Do better, Fandango!
Sound issues
I purchased a lot of movies when it was VUDU. I like the app except that have had sound issues for years and they are doing nothing to correct it. The sound constantly screws up during a movie and you have to hit the back button to correct it. You have to do this multiple times for almost every movie. Any help you get is useless, they say TV, Roku, HDMI cable, reinstall the app, clear the cache; none of that works and no other apps have the problem.
The movie stopped playing
The movie stopped playing. I contacted coustomer service. They asked me numerous question to verify my account. Then told me I had watched more than 10 minutes of the movie so they could not give me any credit back. I asked to speak to supervisor and was told there were none available. Time for new on demand platform.
