I had wanted to explore the possibility of CHC funding for my father, but found it hard to understand the process, and wanted support from a professional firm. I approached FarleyDwek and the service was excellent. I spoke to Andrew Farley, solicitor, initially and then with other members of the wider team, including Diane and later Abbey and Alex.

We were lead through what can be a difficult process, particularly for people unused to the system, and it gave me confidence to have them in my corner. The result was what we had been hoping for. They clearly have a specific expertise in this area and I’m very glad that I sought their advice.

My husband, Alan, was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia. The staff at Age UK recommended getting legal representation at the Multidisciplinary Team Meeting. I found Farley Dwek online. I was impressed that Andrew Farley rang me personally after my initial call. He said that Continuing Healthcare Funding is not impossible if you qualify. Subsequently, I never had trouble getting through to someone helpful, and Diane, the nurse who dealt with us, was clever, caring and helpful. I provided her with a lot of detail about Alan's needs and she used it to great effect. Prior to engaging Farley Dwek, I had dreaded the meeting, but they led me through the process and I felt confident with Diane there. We were successful and got the CHC for Alan. The fee was well worth it, considering the eye-watering cost of care. I have recommended them to my friend. Thank you to everyone at Farley Dwek.

Initially communications were prompt and efficient. We had previously been refused CHC even though I was struggling to find a home for him as all but one home said his care was "too complex". We paid over £3k to FD for advice & Nurse Assessment only to be told that they thought Dad wouldn't qualify even though he had by this time got an additional diagnoses of Mixed Dementia. Did get the impression that had we been in the closer to their regional base they may have taken our case further. The Nurse Assessor said on several occasions that they had no experience of dealing with Midlands CCG?ICBs

It is a great shame that having recommended this company to a friend they were useless, took a long time to do nothing and charged £3000.
