I have worked with Fleet on a number of cases so far this year and the service is great. Clear criteria and indication of timescales which is super helpful for advice and case management. Whenever I need help my BDM Donna Spence is always quick to respond and super knowledgeable. Also, very refreshing for underwriters to call with updates and discuss cases. I have a limited company buy to let mortgage with Fleet. Process was very easy to understand, quick and helpful from start to finish.

Fleet are generous on affordability and the support from our BDM Donna is second to none. Great with complex structures, properties near commercial establishments, free valuations with some products - the list goes on.

Excellent proposition, great rates and customer service. Always a fantastic and smooth process with Fleet. The BDM staff are exceptional and a credit to the company.

The best aspect of dealing with Fleet is that first point of contact with the BDM (Donna Spence). If she is not available she always returns calls. Her product knowledge is most useful whilst I am deciding where to place a case.
The worst aspect of dealing with Fleet:
1) the restricted panel of Solicitors available for Ltd Co. applications ( the main reason you don't get as much business as you might).
2) the intransigence of underwriting when they don't understand complex accounting.
3) the lack of justification when underwriting don't"feel comfortable" with a case.

I feel sorry for Donna and her peers as, if they were better supported by others in Fleet, their initial hard work would be better reflected in more business.

This is my 38th year in this business, i know what I'm talking about.

Please stay away! Unfortunately I read the other reviews too late.

After 2-months to process the file + a change of solicitor to be from their recommended list which cost thousands + £200 on survey fees £200 there fees and £1500 other paperwork they rejected the case due to unreason and totally your time and money wasted just finding excuses for rejecting the application in my life first time I see this fraud company please keep away from this fraud and scam

The key thing to understand about specialist lending is that often the cases are not straight forward and may not fit with alternative lenders. Fleet have been a good lender to use. Many positives aside from just the rates but the fact that Fleet use Gateway surveyors is very helpful. Connells are used systematically across the board with other lenders but this is one lender that actually uses someone different and can provide the difference to a client. Downfall to Fleet is that sometimes underwriting can be a bit forensic in their approach but understandable given the way Fleet is funded. Naz at Fleet is always helpful when discussing cases and will be able to provide you with a solution rather than leaving you with generic criteria.

Fleet are my go to lender for portfolio landlord clients and are especially helpful when it comes to complex case requirements. Both Naz and Dave allow the flexibility for cases to be reviewed prior to submission to ensure they will meet criteria. They are on hand post submission once cases are submitted to deal with any complications that may arise.

Excellent BDM's and great service from Underwriting / Head Office. Very good system and ability to upload once for multiple applications to save time.

The full on early repayment charge goes right to the end of the mortgage product, next day starts Standard Variable Rate. So there is no way according to their rules to pay off the balance(or part of it) before product ends or shortly after without being penalised either with ERC or higher instalment for the first month
Asked the customer service to find out if anything can be done and 20 hours later still waiting for the answer aswell as the capital repayment procedure letter....
