James and Kenny in the Newport store were terrific today. I came in just to have a look around and ended up finding a great deal. Of course I needed the partner and the team were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble from moving a tone of furniture around to see what worked. We were blown away with the customer service and their accommodating behaviour.

Great experience at the Newport branch. Had time to look around and was then asked by Tracey if we needed help. Once we found what we was looking for Tracey was really helpful. We had our figures given to us and we went away and continued our purchase later on in the day.

Good Visit
I went to the store to view a 2 seater sofa and the salesman Ryan was very helpful and showed me an alternative which was less deep and also cheaper which I ordered and was able to be discounted
I also ordered a small cabinet which was free delivery, but if I wanted it brought into the house to the place I want it, it's an extra amount of nearly £50. Ryan said he was able to discount it, bless him, but I'd rather struggle than pay extra for something to come over the threshold
Overall, a good experience, good salesman in Ryan, only let down by poor company policies

Staff were brilliant. Dan was absolutely great and very patient while we looked at colours and fabric choices, even bringing seat and back cushions from another sofa to show us the effect. Ryan helped with showing us the sofa we chose in different colours using AI. Great experience

We placed an order at FW Homestores in…
We placed an order at FW Homestores in Caerphilly, South Wales. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We decided on a "soild oak" dining table and 6 chairs. We were informed that delivery would be 6-8 weeks. 2 weeks later we received a text saying it would be the next day. On the day of delivery the men rang to say they were on their way, and the duly turned up 15 minutes later. They placed all the boxes in our home and left. Upon opening the boxes we discovered the horrendous furniture that had been delivered. We tried to get the store to collect it and issue a refund but the couldn't/wouldn't do that. It took quite a few weeks and the threat of court action for the recovery of our money, which we have now received. I don't think we will be shopping there again!

Barnstaple Store is a must for furnishings
After visiting all the furniture stores we knew in Barnstaple we looked in FW. We were pleasantly surprised by the choice and diversity in the store. We have a cottage so wanted a sofa not old fashion but in keeping with its surroundings. Served by Martin who was very helpful member of staff. Definitely worth looking here for quality at an affordable price

We ordered two recliner sofas!! and a good price was bargained. Delivery is quicker than a lot of competitor sofa companies which is good.

We purchased the Olympia table and…
We purchased the Olympia table and chairs at considerable expense. When we first received it, we were extremely happy with it and genuinely believed we had bought a good-quality piece of furniture.
Unfortunately, just over a year later, one side of the extending leaf dropped. On investigating the problem myself, I found that the runners had failed. The runners appear to be made from very cheap and flimsy plastic and, in my opinion, are simply not substantial enough to support the weight of the extending leaf over time.
What makes this particularly disappointing is that we have never actually closed the extending leaves. They have remained extended, so this isn’t a case of the mechanism being repeatedly opened and closed and worn out through excessive use. The component has simply failed while doing the job it was designed to do.
I contacted the company to explain the problem and asked if they could at least supply replacement runners so that I could carry out the repair myself. I wasn’t asking for a new table or expecting them to carry out an expensive repair.
Their response was simply that the table was “out of warranty”.
It was literally only just outside the warranty period.
I find this extremely disappointing for an expensive piece of furniture. A warranty expiring doesn’t automatically mean that a retailer can simply dismiss a genuine quality issue, particularly where a component appears to have failed prematurely through normal use. I would have expected the company to at least investigate the issue and offer a reasonable solution.
Instead, they offered no assistance whatsoever, leaving me with a damaged and unsightly table and having to find and pay for a solution myself.
For a product at this price point, I expected considerably better build quality and, more importantly, considerably better customer service.
Sadly, our initial positive impression of the Olympia table has completely changed. A good-looking table is one thing, but the quality of the components underneath and how a company treats its customers when something goes wrong are what really matter.
Very disappointing product and very disappointing after-sales service. I would think twice before purchasing from this company again.
