Purchased their new riplock replacement cover last spring and it wasn't supposed to rip as quickly as the previous versions but it was infact worse! it barely made it through the first season. It has some kind of ribbing through it that is supposed to make it stronger/better but it does nothing. The edges are the weak point and rip quite easily. Too bad, love our gazebo. These covers are absolute junk. Definitely not worth the money.

I could tell when I was putting this on it was cheap by how thin the fabric was and the lousy stitching. Lasted one summer and ripped when I was taking it down. The original lasted 4 years. Will not by again.
A scam??
The worst experience ever! I sent photos of my gazebo to these so-called experts. They recommended a model looking exactly like ours except the measure reads 12’x12’. I told them that mine is 10’x10’ post to post. They replied and said the canopy was indeed for a gazebo 10’ post to post and it was normal to add one more inch to each side extending the post… It is absolutely my mistake to trust these so-called experts. The product we received was way too big and the serial number did not even match what I saw online. I contacted them and they said that they believe that a smaller model existed but insisted that I received what I ordered… I wasted over CAD$120 on shipping back and return process fees they deducted from the paid amount. I will not recommend this company and will never purchase from them again!

I ordered 2 canopies and 1 set of curtains for my gazebo. Two years ago, I ordered a canopy and it was fine; better than the original.
This time the canopies were the same material as the last, but the tie-downs had an elastic strap half the size of previous causing the hooks to go sideways resulting in small puckers around the periphery - not that bad, but annoying none-the-less.
The curtains we got were CRAP - totally. The material and zippers were at last 1/3 weight of the originals. PLUS! The tie-backs were installed BACKWARDS. Several emails to their 'support' desk yielded nothing indicating what I was talking about - I sent two emails with photos of the problems; their response...."if you are dissatisfied with the curtains, just send them back" - with their little set of rules on how to do it. No mention of getting some decent curtains. My wife liked the color match with the top and we didn't want the hassle of returning them and possibly not getting our shipping costs reimbursed. Now we'll have to figure out how to reverse the tie backs or cover them with something. Sad!

Worst company ever!!!! Do NOT order from them or you will get faulty products delivered multiple times. This company does not believe in customer service and has no ability to understand the customers point of view! Time is valuable... if you agree then don’t order from this company. They will screw you over and steal your money!
Poor quality, poor service...
Ordered New canopy and cushion for my 11 year old Home Depot swing June of 2017. Different look then original but ok. Material used is much thinner then original. Just brought both out of house for this season (Maryland) & seat cushion splitting(dry rotted ). Contacted customer service,sent photos,etc. They couldn't help because it was 1 week out of warranty, but offered 10 % off on a new one. Total use of product, 3 1/2 months. The original lasted 10 years. They're selling junk, nothing near the originals quality. Just waiting for the paper thin canopy to shred. They don't care about their customers. Gardenwinds.com does not have accurate…
Gardenwinds.com does not have accurate pics of the item your will purchase. This makes it very easy for a consumer to make an error when selecting a product. In terms of customer support to exchange an incorrect item, gardenwinds.com will not cover the shipping for a customer to return an item.
Gardenwinds.com can fix this very easily by taking an actual picture of the item they are selling.
Worst product and customer service…
Worst product and customer service ever. I bought a 10'x12' canopy and expect it to be some ~10'x12' but in fact I receive 10'x11'5". The customer service keep denying their product is defected. Now they want me to send them back the canopy and ask me to pay for the shipping fee both way. This is ridiculous, stay away from them.

An absolute joke
An absolute joke. I live in Connecticut and have had two replacement canopies in the past two years. Now remember I live in Connecticut and my gazebo is North facing. The first cover was in Spruce Green and not only faded terribly but degraded to the point where when I took it off the frame in October multiple pocket ripped under the strain of removal applied by hand. This cover was replaced under warranty on the condition that the replacement was not warrantable. Good thing because even though this cover was in the company preferred Beige because of the known fading problem, it too started to noticeably fade within two weeks and again ripped on removal in October. A bad product supplied by a lousy company. AVOID
Don't waste your money on this…
Don't waste your money on this replacement canopy. If you just want shade it might work for you but if you want to keep patio furniture or yourself dry it's worthless. Mine had pin holes at every sewn seam that leaked and Garden Winds said that it wasn't covered under manufacture warranty because that was normal for the product. Hey offered me 20% refund. After many emails I finally got someone to offer a replacement but the color I wanted was on back order for two months and they told me normally I would have to wait for that color to replace, until I put my foot down! . I'm going to try and reinforce the replacement sent but highly recommend not buying this product. Total dissapointment.
Canopy Lasted Two Days - No Refund/Replacement
I buy a lot of products online, and I try to remain positive and understanding with issues that may arise, but this company just doesn't stand by their products, nor does it value the customer relationship and future business.
I bought a replacement canopy for my patio. It was brand new in the box for a year before I set it up. On the second day, I noticed it waving like a flag outside, so I went to check it out and noticed that three of the four corner hooks had ripped off from the fabric it was attached to. It wasn't a really windy day, but there was some wind, which I assume these canopies should be able to withstand.
I emailed customer service about this, and since I purchased the canopy over a year ago, there was nothing they could do to replace it or refund me. I understand it is policy for the one-year warranty, but I'm not out to take advantage of these companies; I'm genuinely disappointed that my $130 was literally flapping in the wind. There is no way to reattach the hooks to the fabric as they are completely frayed.
What's the difference if you are willing to replace the part within a year or over a year if you're going to do it anyway? I would expect that you would want to keep a customer for life at the minimal cost to your company. It's short-sighted to hold firm on your policy when it's only hurting you in the long run.
Customer service did offer me discounted shipping on my next purchase or an open box replacement canopy, but I feel I should get a brand new one since that's the one I paid for. I'll have people say, "policy is policy", and sure, it was over their year warranty, but I expect better of companies today to stand behind their products. Just a truly disappointing experience and a complete waste of $130. It didn't even last two days.
Such a dishonest company!
Such a dishonest company!! We ordered a replacement canopy for our umbrella that their site stated was the correct replacement. After it was received, we laid it on the ground on top of the old canopy and it was at least two inches too small. We carefully packed it up to return to them and contacted them to let it know it didn't fit. They wanted to charge us to return it, but finally agreed that since it was the not the size advertised that they wouldn't charge us return shipping.
Shortly after this, we received an email from them stating that they were not refunding our money because of damage to the strap and included a picture of the damage. The strap was completely shredded and I can't even imagine how that would happen unless you knew how to do such a thing. I guess the nice thing about a destroyed strap is that they can easily replace the strap and re-sell the canopy AGAIN. The first person we spoke to there was extremely rude - "management" was somewhat better and finally agreed to refund 1/2 of our money.
I have no doubt whatsoever that Garden Winds destroyed the strap so they didn't have to refund our money for a replacement that they mis-represented. Please note: when you buy umbrellas, canopies, etc., they are mostly made/sold by Garden Treasures, NOT Garden Winds. They are trying to fool people into thinking they are the same company and their "replacements", even if they fit, are inferior quality and only last about one season.
Reasonable Option Since OEM & Retailer Don't Offer Replacements
There are many reviews here complaining about Garden Winds' replacement canopy covers. I think it important to point out, that neither the original manufacturer or the retailer of our El Porto Gazebo offer replacement parts or canopies. So while Garden Winds' RipLock 350 did not last longer than a year due to wind damage, neither did the original canopy.
To my thinking, Garden Winds is doing better at supporting my original canopy purchase than the OEM.
After the RipLock 350 wore out, we purchased a second replacement made of Garden Winds' RipLock 500 and it held together for 2+ years and then fell victim to 35+ MPH winter storms; had we removed it for the winter I am certain we would have stretched a third or fourth year out of it.
Shoddy American company posing as Canadian
Wish we had seen these poor reviews prior to purchasing our canopy replacement cover. Sent the company a picture and confirmed measurements. What we thought was the exact canopy required came in as a half foot shorter than advertised. When we called the company we got arguments and attitude. So much for the Customer is first. Escalated to the "manager" and got a similar experience. We will go through credit card dispute to address the issue. For a company with a Canadian name, you sure don't respect your Canadian market. Shame on you for your shoddy business practices. If we could rate no stars we would.
Received the replacement cushions from …
Received the replacement cushions from Garden Winds. Extremely disappointed. Fabric was poor quality, no padding in the cushions. If we had not discarded the old cushions we would have returned these in a micro second. We are now forced to buy custom cushions. Very frustrating.
I don't even know where to start
I don't even know where to start, but... I had purchased my Walmart Leaf Gazebo replacement canopy in 2015. It was on backorder for 3 months and arrived after the season end. In spring 2016 we installed the new canopy. Most people would have had to return/trash their purchase as the replacement canopy was too small to even install. My husband had to grind down the frame in order for this to fit. A 15 minute job became an entire afternoon. I had contacted Garden Wind but no response. At the end of last year, having used the new canopy for only 4 months, when we removed the canopy for storage, it was totally breaking down. The exposed side was now totally white and the inside still beige. We wondered if we'd even be able to use it for this season. I should have posted my complaint at that time. We could barely handle it this spring as the fabric was so broken down. Beige duct tape was used in several places. Just being up there for the season, more holes appeared. We took it down today and trashed it! I was totally covered in white dust from the broken down fabric!! This really was a waste of money. The original canopy lasted several years and the entire gazebo was half the price of the replacement canopy. I truly thought that purchasing a product through a California company would be at list a little resistant to the UV rays. For goodness sakes, the product is advertised as being so, and... with rip lock. It was none of that! This company advertises falsely and doesn't back their product!

I purchase the Ty Pennington Sierra …
I purchase the Ty Pennington Sierra replacements cushions for my patio set and put them on my furniture this spring. These are the worst cushions ever. The quality of the fabric color is nothing like the original. I got years out of the original cushions before they faded. Within 2 months the cushions had faded terribly. Do yourself a favor and just purchase an entire new patio set. I paid 1/2 the price of what the furniture (entire set) cost new for these cushions. I'll be lucky if these cushions make it through one season. My furniture is on a covered patio and don't sit in the weather and they still aren't lasting.
