I RENTED a car for two days even bought insurance package for two days.
At the return of arrival, inspector guy found a little scratch as little as 1CM in length.
He blamed me and charged $103 dollars 4400 TL, despite that scratch seems it was there at all times.
BE VERY CAREFUL THEİR MONEY MAKİNG STRATEGY İS NOT ONLY RENTİNG A CAR & SELLİNG İNSURANCE PACKAGE.
THEY ARE ALSO MAKİNG MONEY FROM EVERY Single SCRATCH $103.
So You're are victim & target either it is your fault or not, if you aren't aware of that.
Once you RENTED from GARENTA expect every drama you would face on the day of the return.
There is ENTERPRİSE UK based company under CarrefourSA Süpermarket with better cars and smiles 😊. Please use that instead of those Pirates.

Achtung hier wird man betrogen !

Achtung hier wird man betrogen !! Achtung Garenta Gaziantep bucht einfach von der Kreditkarte doppelt Geld ab und zahlt es nicht zurück. Staatsanwalt ist eingeschaltet. Achtung Betrug ! Lieber ein bisschen mehr bezahlen und nicht bei diesen Betrügern mieten. Kämpfe nun schon über 2 Monate um mein Geld.

I had rented a car from Garenta rubbish

I had rented a car from Garenta. While traveling from Istanbul to Bursa, for the Osmangazi Bridge toll I went to the cash toll booth just in case. The toll booth attendant allowed me to pass, then said “If you want, I can cancel it and you can pay cash, because Garenta will charge you much more.” I agreed.

When I returned the car, I realized that I had paid twice under the name of an HGS fee. When I submitted my receipts and requested a refund, they told me it would take two months. It’s now been six months, I’m calling, sending messages, and no one responds.

This shows how serious the injustice in Turkey is. You rent a car from a big company thinking it’s reliable, but they still try to cheat you.

Garenta ile yaşadığım deneyim tam bir kabustu! Kaza yaptığımızda ne müşteri hizmetleri ne de sözde “7/24 acil durum” hattı cevap verdi. Saatlerce aradık, kimse yardımcı olmadı. Üstelik birkaç gün sonra, onayım olmadan tam 8 kez kredi kartımdan para çekilmiş! Ne için olduğunu sorduğumda da hiçbir açıklama yapılmadı, mesajlara da cevap vermediler.

Bu kadar ilgisiz, umursamaz ve güvensiz bir firma görmedim. Hem iletişim sıfır, hem de finansal olarak güvenilmezler. Asla bir daha tercih etmem, kimseye de önermem.

I tried to book a car with this company…

I tried to book a car with this company back in June. At that time, the price was lower and the car available was much better. Unfortunately, their booking system would not accept my phone number (because of the length), which meant I couldn’t complete the reservation.

The only option was to arrange a phone call, but due to time zone differences and delays, I wasn’t able to finalise the booking until yesterday. By then, the price was higher and the vehicle offered was of lower quality.

I explained the situation to them and requested a goodwill upgrade, since the issue was caused by their system. However, they have not responded to my emails, which I find very disappointing.

Overall, the booking system failed me, I had to pay more for less, and the customer service has been unresponsive.

A fuir !

Nous avons utilisé la carte de crédit VISA avec laquelle nous avons payé cette location. Le paiement de la caution était validé par notre application bancaire mais refusé par le système du prestataire. Nous avons ensuite essayé avec une autre carte visa puis sur le conseil du prestataire, nous avons créé une carte virtuelle sans plus de réussite. Le prestataire ne parlait pas un seul mot anglais et semblait se moquer totalement de la situation. Un autre français présent dans l'agence a subi la même mésaventure sauf que son compte bancaire a été en plus débité (ce qui n'a pas été notre cas). Nous avons été obligés de prendre un taxi pour rejoindre l'aéroport d'Istanbul où nous avons pu louer un véhicule chez Sixt (pour un prix plus élevé) sans aucun problème avec cette même carte bancaire. Nous avons perdu trois heures dans cette histoire puis avons payé deux fois ( soit 70 euros) un taxi de l'aéroport vers Istanbul (récupération et retour du véhicule) sachant que notre hébergement se trouvait en centre ville. L'agence Garenta de l'aéroport IST n'avait aucune trace de notre réservation car "Garenta İstanbul Haliç" est un franchisé dont les contrats ne sont pas visibles dans leur système d'information. Personne n'a répondu au téléphone quand ils ont souhaité avoir plus d'informations à notre sujet. Je trouve qu'il est scandaleux que Booking.com référence un tél prestataire. Vous pouvez d'ailleurs voir sur ses avis google que hormis les faux avis grossiers, ce prestataire est un désastre. Nous avons ensuite reçu un mail (en turc) comme quoi notre réservation a été annulée mais à ce jour, nous n'avons pas été remboursé de la somme de 226 euros que nous avons payé par avance pour cette prestation fantôme qui nous a gâché une des journées de notre séjour.

All'arrivo infatti li ho trovati aperti e in attesa. Avevo chiesto una compatta e mi hanno dato un Doblo diesel in ottime condizioni. Procedura di noleggio veloce e altrettanto la riconsegna. Ottima esperienza

Llegamos a recoger el coche con el DNI la oficina de Estambul y nos dijeron que necesitábamos el documento de entrada en el país.Nos obligaron a coger un servicio de cobertura total ue ya teníamos reservado con la plataforma discover cars.Ademas pagamos pagamos una prereserva y no l a reconocían por lo que tuvimos que abonar mucho.No recomendable Son unos estafadores

Terrible Experience!

Terrible Experience!

After an entire day of traveling, I arrived at the airport and made my way to the Garenta desk to collect my rental car. Upon arrival, the staff member at the desk did not acknowledge me for the first 2–3 minutes, continuing to attend to his own tasks without even a greeting. Once I finally had his attention, I informed him about my reservation. He told me the car wasn’t ready and asked me to wait for five minutes in the nearby seating area, assuring me he would call me once it was ready.

Ten minutes passed without any update. I approached the desk again and found the same staff member casually chatting and laughing with a colleague — the same person who was supposed to provide the car — completely ignoring the fact that a customer was still waiting after a long journey.

Unfortunately, this was just the beginning.

The second staff member took us to the airport parking area. He did not speak a single word of English — quite unacceptable for a company serving international tourists. One of the elevators in the parking lot was out of order. Although we later discovered there were working elevators, he led us up two flights of stairs with 20 kg suitcases, showing no concern whatsoever.

We finally reached the car — which was not the one I had reserved. I had booked a larger vehicle specifically for luggage space, but we were given a compact car at the same price, in which our bags didn’t even fit.

During the vehicle inspection, there were clearly visible scratches and dents. The staff member began taking photos, but he ignored several of the existing damages, including ones on the side mirror and driver’s door. I politely asked him to document those as well, to avoid being held responsible upon return.

That’s when things escalated. The staff member didn’t understand English and called someone on the phone. I explained the situation to this third person, who told me not to worry and that I should take the photos myself. I explained that this made no sense — the employee was conducting the official inspection, and only the damages recorded at that time would be included in the report. Any unreported damage could later be used against me, making it my word against theirs.

At this point, the staff member on site began raising his voice, shouting “NO CAR, NO CAR,” essentially refusing to give us the vehicle simply because I had asked him — politely — to document all visible damages. His colleague on the phone tried to calm him down in Turkish, but the situation remained tense.

In the end, I was forced to take the car with unrecorded damage, fully aware that I might face disputes or penalties upon return if a less understanding employee were to inspect it.

Garenta — this was the first and definitely the last time I will use your service.

As the only positive note I’d like to mention, the person who assisted us upon return of the vehicle was a very kind and professional young man. I strongly recommend hiring more staff like him!

Stay Away – Fraudulent and Unsafe Company!

I rented a car from Garenta for 6 days. At pickup, I was charged €204 for the rental plus €90 as a deposit. While processing the payment, the card machine did not require my PIN, and the sales representative said he would “process it differently.” I didn’t fully understand what he did at that moment. Later, my bank informed me that my credit card had been cloned during this transaction.

After returning the car at the airport and flying home, I discovered multiple unauthorized extra charges made with my card by this company. This is a clear case of credit card fraud.

My advice: never rent from this company. Stick to reputable international rental agencies when in Turkey to avoid becoming a victim of scams like this. Garenta is an unsafe, dishonest, and untrustworthy operation that should be avoided at all costs.

NO CUMPLEN LAS CONDICIONES CONTRATADAS

En la devolución del coche apareció un roce en el alerón trasero del coche que media aproximadamente 2 CMS. Bien podría ser por una piedra o cualquier cosa insignificante. Tenía contratado un seguro a todo riesgo y me dijeron que no els figuraba y tuve que pagar el supuesto arreglo. He reclamado por mail varias veces pero no me responden de manera coherente. Una vergüenza de compañía que no da el servicio acordado y tiene un servicio postventa muy malo.Me siento estafado y totalmente engañado

Betrüger

Trotz einer bestätigten Buchung über booking.com wurde mir bei der Abholung des Fahrzeugs in Istanbul erneut Geld für Kindersitz und Versicherung abverlangt, obwohl diese bereits bezahlt waren. Zudem verlangte man überraschend 333 € für die Rückgabe in einer anderen Stadt – ein Abgabeort, den ich bei der Buchung klar angegeben hatte.

Dies hätte die Kosten für nur einen Tag auf fast 450 € erhöht. Unter diesen Umständen und um nächtliche Zusatzkosten zu vermeiden, blieb mir nichts anderes übrig, als mit meiner Frau und meinem 4-jährigen Kind um 22 Uhr per Taxi eine lange Strecke zu fahren.

Ich empfinde dies als inakzeptabel, irreführend und kundenunfreundlich.

Noleggio prenotato con Booking

Noleggio prenotato con Booking, arrivato al bancone della Garenta di Istanbul città esibisco patente e carta di credito a me intestate, non riescono a prelevare la cauzione dalla carta di credito, perdo tre ore per vari tentativi poi decido di attivare un nuovo contratto con una nuova carta di credito, pago 600 euro con tale carta ma, al momento di prelevare la cauzione il loro sistema rifiuta l’operazione. Ho perso 5 ore e sono stato costretto a recarmi all’aeroporto di Istanbul per noleggiare un’altra auto. Vi suggerisco di evitare assolutamente questa compagnia di noleggio

We were given a car with faulty brakes…

We were given a car with faulty brakes and the service hotline was not reachable until I wrote an email to the CEO of the company. We were stuck for 2 days during our holidays without any compensation and had to pay additional costs on our own because of trouble with the car.

Better to pay some money more to well known rent a car company than having a headache and extra costs with these cheap companies.

Beware of this company

We reserved and paid a rental car months on advance for a family vacation in Turkey. However, at pickup time they refused to give us the car because we didn't have a passport, even though EU national ID card should be sufficient (according to law and their own resetvation site). Scammers!

Ho noleggiato un auto all aeroporto di nevsehir in cappadocia e dopo che siamo stati dirottati per problemi metereologici in un altro aeroporto , ho provato a chiamare più volte al numero fisso Garenta e anche ad un cellulare trovato sul sito senza alcuna risposta e non ci hanno tenuto l’auto… terribile esperienza
