Chainsaw repair
We had to send our chainsaw back for repair and we were kept informed all the way by the following staff at Genpower: Craig, Rukshal & Soureshna. From returning the goods to being kept updated as to what was going on to receiving a brand new chainsaw everyone was brilliant at keeping us informed and always with kindness and professionalism. Deal with this company at your peril
Recently purchased a Hyundai mower which took 20 or 30 pulls to start.
The warranty is a joke as you have to send the ( huge) lawnmower back via courier
Gen power expect you to keep the original packing and pack it in the same way - they ask for photos of the packaging . They won’t send a courier until the packaging is perfect. Photos of the serial number sent several times and even a video requested of me trying to start the mower. This has gone on for weeks, only to hear from Genpower saying there is nothing wrong with the machine, which is clearly untrue.
Purchased via Amazon who have been great and issued a refund now, after all my trouble

My Hyundai compressor arrived with a faulty cut off switch. Telephoned Genpower and my call was quickly answered by Paul Jones who provided exemplary customer support. He was calm, polite and took the time to fully understand and resolve the problem. A replacement part was immediately despatched and promptly received. Accepting that, now and again, a damaged/ faulty item will slip past the QA process of every firm, the quality of service and speed of resolution I experienced was that which one hopes for and maintains one's faith in a company/ brand.

After initially asking for lots of details, once provided Hyundai resolved my issue really quickly. Communication was dealt with swiftly and parts received in a timely manner.

I would avoid this company and its…
I would avoid this company and its products if you can. My second lawnmower with them and both have been faulty. The latest has been used 3 times in less than 6 months. But to try and get the issues resolved takes a high amount of emails, poor customer service and a lot of effort the customer has to make for a fault with the product that they have sold. I won’t be using them again.

After Sales Service
This is a follow up review written at the end of a 'repair under warranty' successful conclusion. It took some time to get the 'ball rolling' but apart from that the assistance provided by Soureshna at Genpower Technical Advice was exemplary. Several of the staff there were involved at one or other time, so thanks also to Lakshya, Rukshai, Jade, Poonam and Craig as well, all of whom contributed to a successful outcome. That a 3 year warranty was honoured in such a way I have to say is remarkable, the returned item was checked and a fault identified then repaired, the machine then returned working as it should. I have purchased a Hyundai mower, a garden multi tool (the subject of this repair review) and a portable generator from Genpower and am very pleased with the products and service, so will definitely look to this supplier when my ancient chainsaw needs replacing. The customer service I have experienced has been second to none and I give this company my fullest endorsement. Thank you to all involved.
Speedy replacement part for lawnmower
After contacting genpower ltd with a fault regarding plug in charger for my petrol lawnmower.i was surprised how quickly my replacement part was in the post and delivered.i might add the person who dealt with my warranty claim was really helpful and once all details were taken regarding purchase invoice,serial numbers etc,it was straight forward and part was in the post and delivered within days.so a big thankyou to soureshna for helping with my warranty claim
Impossible to contact
Despite voice mail telling me how great the company is they fail to answer, do not respond to chat. Purchased
product but given appalling service want to cancel order. However, that seems impossible.

No home delivery. No ordered delivered.
Ordered and paid for a jet washer. Free next day delivery. Expected HOME delivery but no. DPD said I'd chosen delivery to a nearby post office!!Waited ALL DAY today and NO delivery. Not impressed.
Hyundai HYM460SP mower gearbox pulley fault
My Hyundai HYM460SP mower developed a fault with the drive pulley on the gearbox. Mower was under warranty. Soureshna and the team did a great job. Shipped me a new part out very quick which I fitted myself.
The only thing I do notice is that there doesn't seem to be any local service centres anymore. If the problem needs an in-depth evaluation, then you need to ship back to the factory in South Wales.
I was happy to fit the part myself as Hyundai have some good videos on YouTube which you can easily follow.

I am deeply impressed by the professionalism of Genpower's staff. From initial technical advice, to sales and particularly logistical support, all staff were informative and helpful. I must single out Peter. He was exemplary. The delivery of the item was complicated and he worked hard to ensure that I received the item despite many difficulties. He was patient and diligent, his communication was prompt and informative and he was also very polite and personable. Sadly it is all too rare to encounter staff with such high standards as Peter and his colleagues, but all the more valuable to have experienced their service. Thank you.
