What people don't realize is that subscribing to Gigmit will not magically bring you tons of fans, get you profitable gig opportunities, and get the guys from major record labels to want to sign you immediately.

Gigmit is a tool - a platform which gives business insights and opportunities to both the artists and record labels/promoters. It is also a medium for initial communication and negotiation between the two parties.

Now, if you apply to gigs and don't get picked for the opportunity, consider why a promoter would want to book you a show 1000 miles from where you are located and you have 5 Spotify followers and 100 YouTube subscribers. Would people come to the show and pay to see your performance? No, they wouldn't. It is your job (as an artist) to market your music and build following. When the need for gigs appears and you have a certain following in the city where gig is located, you'll probably get the chance to play there.

Don't forget that you can use gigmit to find other bands similar to you in your area. Make a gig together locally. Their friends will hear your music and your friends will hear theirs. You'll make new connections and in some cases long-term friendships.

All things considered, I think gigmit is a great TOOL, both for artists and promoters. It's up to you how you will use it.

If I could give this company 0 I would gladly do that. They tell you you’ll pay monthly, once you realise they have absolute bs services and cancel they still take your money (which they won’t tell you). £20 monthly, imagine how many artists they’re scamming with this bs? DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS. IT’S A SCAM. Don’t trust the good reviews, nowadays everyone is just buying positive reviews. I wouldn’t be here wasting my time giving this review just to stop you guys from registering with them, I’m doing this because I’m a full time musician and these guys are taking advantage of all musicians.

I’m going to put their email here after I asked why they keep charging me even after I cancelled the subscription:

“You have currently a gigmit PRO annual subscription with monthly billing for your artist profile. The gigmit PRO annual subscription has a contractual duration of one year, and begins with the completion of the gigmit PRO booking. It costs €19,- plus VAT per month of the contractual period. Each contractual month will be invoiced at the start of the month in question. That's why you've been charged.”

Thieves.

I tried the trial version of gigmit PRO, but sadly I forgot to cancel it before the end of trial period. I wrote two email to gigmit. The first email have written to the support email, but I haven't got answare from here. After I found an other email address. This is the cancel email. I got answare from here on the next day and Sandra helped me and cancelled the subscription and my invoice voided. Thank You for your help again!

I had problems with creating an account and I was a bit reluctant at first. However, once I managed to have my artist profile set up and started applying for gigs very easily. I have to say that no one has booked me yet. I hope my chances to get a gig increase in the near future. However, I have to point out that the customer support is there to help you with any problems.

A must try for diy bands. We’ve gotten a couple of great opportunities through gigmit and I highly recommend it. Great support available also, gave me a refund when I accidentally paid to much money without any argument.

I worked on a really cool video shoot for an amazing client yesterday. Steffen and Marcus from Gigmit (Campaign/Marketing Manager & CEO) were incredibly friendly, accommodating, and all around top blokes.

I have been with Gigmit for about two years; pretty much since the pandemic started and there have been plenty of cool opportunities like this.

To address the artists who are unhappy and are calling this company a scam: I do understand the frustration and mistrust. As artists, we tend to feel screwed sometimes and we want to point the finger at someone.

However! It is not the case here. This is a small team of really good people, who have decades of experience, building an incredible platform. To have a platform where you pay when you want on and off isn't really realistic. There are plenty of huge music platforms that have the exact same business model

(such as "Puremix", "Mixing with the Masters" and "Slate Digital" to name a few.)

I would 100 percent recommend Gigmit. But regardless of how great or not a platform you think it is, you still need to put the work in!

Performed for a client on a video shoot. Gigmit staff was very professional leading up to and at the booking.
Clearly, there are a range of opinions about the platform. It's a great concept and there's definitely a lane for this. Hopefully, the model continues to develop in a way that increasingly more artists find agreeable.

I really enjoyed Max's insights and experiences from inside the music industry.

The whole webinar was very insightful, it felt modern and realistic. It could have been cool to have panel of a few A&R's maybe of some smaller labels and different genres

My living nightmare!
If you are an artist never ever ever go near this horrible company. Your living nightmare starts once you sign up with them you are held hostage, bullied, gaslighted, and forced to pay every month despite you cancelling a million of times, their emails are just heartless and they trap you with their so-called depressing annual contractual. When you sign up for pro you are not informed that you have to pay for 10 months. They actually threaten you with debt collectors to ruin your life over a 19 euro invoice that you have previously asked to terminate .
How do they sleep at night seriously? I would hate my job if I worked for a bad company like Gigmit

Edit- I was told by a attorney that these wasps can’t actually present a charge against you in the British courts because of new Breexit laws. Consider taking digital legal action or getting an official witness if they keep on pressuring you to pay up.
Refuse to be intimidated by these nasty mean people they will literally destroy you!

Excellent platform to increase your chances of being offered gigs. Especially important in these lockdown times we find ourselves in.
