Difficult to navigate
My kids were so excited to go on an open bus tour. We had a hop on hop off ticket, and assumed we'd be able to do just that. The problem was that after we got off we couldn't find the bus we needed to get back on! They have an interactive map on the app which we used, but it doesn't indicate how long the wait is at each bus stop, or even which direction the buses are going in from which particular stop. We spent around an hour trying to find a bus to take us in a particular direction before I messaged golden tours only to be told the stop we were at was not in use. When I asked why this information wasn't on the service updates within the app, I was informed they can't be expected to keep it up to date with every change. Everyone we spoke to on the day seemed really unwilling to help to the point of being unfriendly. There wasn't much audio info on the bus anyway - it was about 90% music - so we may as well have just got regular London buses. I wish we had done this and saved the money.

The only thing we where not happy about was windsor castle.
You where not allowed to make foto's.
If we had know that we would not have vised there.
That is the reason we would Never reconmend going there.

Regarding Windsor Castle, photography in certain areas is restricted by the Castle authorities. These rules are set and enforced by the venue itself and apply to all visitors, regardless of how they book their tickets.
We understand that this may have been disappointing, especially if you were hoping to take photos inside. Your feedback is appreciated, and we’re glad the rest of the tour met your expectations.

Not worth it
The bus stopp was not easy to find, there was no „welcome on board“ or anything that made it feel special,
when everyone got on their seat, the front row upstairs was reserved but no one sat there, my monitor did not work, there was no air conditioning so we couldn’t see anything through the windows, 4 h timeslot for visiting the studio tour was too short. And because of these reasons it was way to expensive.
I was very disappointed and should have taken the tube + free shuttle.

The full meeting point address, including the postcode, is clearly stated on the ticket confirmation, and it is generally easy to locate. In case of any difficulty, we also provide a 24/7 contact number so our team can assist guests immediately.
Regarding the coach, we maintain our buses to a professional operating standard and regularly service them. If there was a technical issue such as a monitor not functioning properly, we do apologise for that inconvenience.
For the studio visit, the 4-hour allocation is part of a structured itinerary. This ensures that return transfers operate smoothly and that different time-slot passengers are not mixed. Guests are welcome to spend more than 4 hours inside the studio if they wish; however, in that case, they would need to arrange their own return travel back to London.
We appreciate your comments, as they help us review and improve the overall guest experience.

Disappointing New Year's Eve Celestial Cruise – Not as Advertised
We booked the New Year's Eve on the Celestial Cruise through Golden Tours for our family (including our 12-year-old son), excited for his dream of seeing the London fireworks from a boat on the Thames. The voucher and promotions promised a deluxe individual basket (with champagne/Prosecco, bagels, and snacks), live music, smart casual dress code (no jeans/trainers), comfortable seating, boarding from 9:00 PM, and return around 1:00 AM.
Unfortunately, none of that matched the reality:
No deluxe baskets or meals were provided (staff were confused when asked and dismissed it).
No soft drinks for our child.
We waited over an hour in the cold outside (arrived on time but boarding delayed until nearly 10:00 PM).
Dress code ignored (lots of jeans/trainers), no proper seating/tables available, and some inappropriate staff behavior/music by the end.
Returned late (~1:30 AM).
It ruined what should have been a special family night. Golden Tours apologised for the missing basket and other issues, and after several emails, they agreed to a 50% refund—which we've accepted to close the matter. However, the experience was far from what was sold, and the whole process was frustrating.
I hope sharing this helps other families avoid similar disappointment or get fair resolution if things go wrong.

After you contacted us directly, we conducted a full investigation with the cruise suppliers. Although some of their findings contradict certain points raised in your account, we fully recognise your disappointment and sincerely apologise for the negative impact this had on your evening. Ultimately, your experience is what matters most, and we regret that the event fell short of what you expected.
Your feedback is invaluable, as it enables us to work more closely with our partners to avoid similar issues in the future and to ensure greater accuracy and consistency in the experiences we offer.

Unfortunately there were protests…
Unfortunately there were protests around Trafalgar Square, so diversions were in place. We were not advised when we booked (the same day) buses did not run at correct times, there was no commentary, & we constantly were told by the drivers to get on another bus, & then had to wait whilst the new bus driver had a break (35 minutes, twice) considering we paid almost £110 for 4 tickets it was not worth it at all.

Excellent organisation
We booked the Harry Potter studio tour with bus service from King’s Cross. Communication was clear, the bus staff were friendly and the bus was clean and comfortable. Our tickets were waiting for us on arrival and we had clear instructions how to get our coach back into London. Excellent organisation.

Leider waren wir von Golden Tours in…
Leider waren wir von Golden Tours in London insgesamt enttäuscht. Zwar waren alle Busfahrer und Mitarbeiter alle sehr freundlich . Aber die Wartezeiten waren enorm lang, und vieles hat nicht funktioniert. Zudem wurde nicht erklärt, dass die enthaltene Schifffahrt nur ein One-Way-Ticket war, sodass wir selbst schauen mussten, wie wir zurückkamen. Auch der angekündigte Nachmittag/Abendbus kam nicht, und glücklicherweise hat uns ein anderer Anbieter weitergeholfen und mitgenommen. Außerdem kam die Kopf-hörerdurchsage oft mit Verspätung, sodass man schon lange an einer Sehenswürdigkeit vorbeigefahren war, bevor erklärt wurde, was diese überhaupt bedeutet. Da wir die Tour kaum genutzt haben und stattdessen viel zu Fuß durch London gelaufen sind, um uns die langen Wartezeiten zu ersparen und die Stadt zu genießen, hätten wir unser Geld eigentlich zurückverdient.
Das Gesamterlebnis wirkte dadurch wie eine Enttäuschung und eine Art Abzocke. Daher werden wir in Zukunft lieber auf einen anderen Anbieter setzen.

Don't bother paying for premium seating
As a special treat for my son,we booked premium seats. This was described as sitting upstairs at the front with wonderful views of London as we travelled to Harry Potter studios.The reality was not good. The bus is clearly used for tour guide tours. We were sat upstairs at the front, but at eye level were 2 screens very large blocking any view that was possible.
