I visited GO Outdoors in Erlington today and was served by Sophie. She was incredibly attentive and helpful throughout my visit. I’d forgotten my membership card and only mentioned later in the transaction that I was a Dofe & a scout leader, but Sophie was able to sort everything out quickly and apply the correct discount within the transaction without any hassle.

She also arranged a replacement card for me as I’d lost my physical one, which I really appreciated. Her friendly and professional approach made the whole visit a really pleasant experience. Great customer service — thanks Sophie!

We meant to leave this review a while ago and the fact that we are doing this now shows how impressed and appreciative we are. In January 26 we returned a coat previously purchased on line to the Go Outdoors store in Erdington. Emma at the store oversaw the process and her customer skills were exceptional. Thank you Emma and Go Outdoors. There is a good reason why you are our preferred company for quality outdoor clothing. Exceptional service from start to finish.

Was overcharged when ordering with click and collect at Christmas ,
Rang head office when I got home was promised a gift card in the post for the difference .. never arrived. Trying to get back to customer service is impossible

I had an excellent experience thanks to the sales assistant Foxliviu at Go Outdoors, Kingsbury Road who helped me purchase my Rab down jacket. From the moment we walked in, they were knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely invested in helping me make the right choice—especially important given the price point. Amazing!!! needed to trade in my climbing shoes I brought the other day. Spoke to Jahdev to see if I could as I used it on a wall for a min and they let me, he also let me try the new pair on the wall so I felt it was right, I also had kaitie scan my shoes really nice and friendly, AMAZING PEOPLE GO HERE FOR YOU OUTDOOR NEEDS !!!

Friendly welcome on arrival and after a brief shopping visit, an unexpected hitch was excellently dealt with. Sophie ensured that I had a pleasant visit and left with the items I needed.

One thing I have always hated is taking faulty goods back to a retailer, not because of the likely confrontation, but more because of the time taken to demonstrate a manufacturers faults rather than the retailers ( retailers have enough issues to contend with without having to ‘defend’ manufacturers faults!).
So it was with a little trepidation that I took back a pair of walking trainers which I had purchased back in May ‘25 and had only used perhaps 20 times for flat walks on hard surfaces within National Trust properties wherein the trainers were cracking and losing their waterproof capabilities.
But what a breath of fresh air, despite no receipt ( although I had my credit card statement and my GO card) the young man on the checkout simply asked whether I wanted a refund or replacement pair! No argument, no “getting the manager down”…you know, the usual routine to discourage complaint.
And, as I needed a replacement pair I went to find another suitable pair ( and NOT the Hi-Tech brand that had failed so miserably!) in the footwear department where another very helpful young man helped me make a suitable choice!
Well done GO Outdoors… such a shame that more retailers don’t adopt the same attitude
