Was served by Joe whilst looking for a camping stove. He was very informative, explained all my options and was very patient. Great service!

Needed a footprint for my new Rydal400 tent. Out of stock online at GoOutdoors, Millets, Blacks etc.
Called 14 Go Outdoor stores as this company have no idea where stock is. The customer has to work it out for the them. All calls were sadly in vain. They had Rydal500 footprints so in anticipation of returning the 400 and buying a 500 instead I went to Manchester to see the 500. There was a 400 next door and in it unbelievably were the 400 footprints! The Manchester store was the first I had called! Clearly this company have no concern for customers or staff at all. But on the basis that each call took five minutes while a member of staff went to check then they are doing their bottom line no good either by wasting staff time. I can't think of one other retailer who can not identify stock in the closest branch to a customer. Wake up Go Outdoors it's 2026! Staff at the store were great & they must be so frustrated.

I'm sorry but there is absolutely no evidence or any stock visibility or location system. If there were one I'm sure staff would use it rather than run around the store looking aimlessly.

Very helpful customer service from staff who answered my questions.

Regular visitor to the Manchester urban exchange branch and often see the same people, always such a friendly and helpful bunch and felt they deserved a shout out!

Craig was very help full although they didn’t have the specific gear I was looking for he helped me find an alternative

Very helpful colleague- not sure of name- guy with brown hair quite young- didn’t have tent that i wanted in store but told me to call other stores to check stock. Very friendly and informative about tents needed.

I needed some new walking boots and while I was browsing, Ian came over to assist me, he even gave me advice I didn’t know about trying them at home with different socks, insoles and times of day. Thank you Ian. Then when I went to the checkout, Craig was also lovely and gave me the same advice. He was very friendly and professional. They were both perfect examples of what great customer service is!

This afternoon I visited Go Outdoors Ancoats Manchester, my wife needed to look at walking gear so leaving her to browsing I headed to the fishing gear department. I visit here on many occasions. I would like your company to acknowledge the great customer service I always experience from Karl. Karl has fantastic knowledge & always gives me help & advice on any items I'm looking at to purchase. I'm hoping that the business has a way of rewarding there staff for great customer service as Karl deserves acknowledgement from management. Thank you 😊

This afternoon we visited Go Outdoors Ancoats Manchester. I needed much help on ladies walking gear, on requesting help from advisor Craig I was assisted with a smile & second to none excellent customer service. He wasn't pushy & gave me information on the fab products for sale. On helping me choose my products Craig finished the transaction purchase with a smile. Great customer service, thank you very much Craig is a brilliant asset to Ancoats Manchester store 😁

Originally put an order through online and paid for express delivery. Dispatch was instant and communication from Go Outdoors excellent. However, the delivery company used to send my parcel was Evri and that's where problems occurred. To summarise in a few words, the parcel never came on the 1st day, nor the 2nd, or the 3rd. Every day, the tracking number was saying the parcel was on its way and due to be delivered, only for the status to suddenly change later on for 'back with courier, wait for another 24h' etc. The whole situation was ludicrous considering that I had paid for next day delivery: I escalated the issue with Evri which assured me the parcel would be delivered on the day (they said that on 3 consecutive days), I was stuck at home waiting for nothing for 3 days, and finally gave up as I desperately needed my order. I called customer services at Go Outdoors, and the service I received was exceptional. I could not fault them for how swiftly they dealt with it all, apologised and refunded me before we had finished our phone conversation. The agent was very professional and friendly; solutions were offered even before I asked for any.
As I desperately needed my parcel items for an imminent camping trip, I ended up driving up to one of their shops that very day after my phone call; I bought more than initially ordered and was very pleased with the service I received, the quality and price of the products.
I will definitely order again from Go Outdoors as although Evri let the company down, I feel reassured that Go Outdoors is efficient and puts their customers first. I also trust that the issue with delivery and the lack of reliability Evri displayed in this particular instance will be thoroughly investigated and dealt with at Go Outdoors end.
