I walked in with two problems and Paul F found solutions for me in very short order. Excellent help.

Paul F was a huge help to my daughter today when she was trying to choose some items for camping. Paul was sharing his thoughts and advice which gave her more confidence when choosing. She has come away very happy, thank you Paul

Paul F provided us with excellent, detailed advice on rucksacks and sleeping systems. We are complete novices and he was extremely helpful in explaining everything to us so we could make the right choices for my daughters DofE kit.

Have tried ordering fishing equipment in the sale. I've ordered a spod reel now five times now and the order has been cancelled. I check the website and it tells me the item is out of stock, and two days later it appears back in stock. I have had the same problem with bivvy lights, weights, other reels, coated braid the list goes on. In some cases things are cancelled after a week. Since the change of the website I'm unable to order via click and collect to my local store only other stores over 80 miles away. Very disappointing.

Excellent service, guidance and advice from Matt in the fishing department and Liam on tills (as well as great service from Leisure Lakes). All staff provided an excellent shopping experience and are a credit to your store.

We had a great time inside of the store and we met Paul F - who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable! Paul had a lot of experience in the outdoors helped us to select a fantastic coat which met all of our needs and a great bag as well and helped us to size it up and fit it in the store. He discussed the variety of options that existed and the various Price ranges which was very helpful. He wasn’t a pushy salesman but was very genuine when helping us to choose the exact items we needed. Thank you so much, Paul. 🤗

We went to go outdoors for some boots and some other bits for dofe silver award we had a really lovely chat with Paul f he is a outstanding man that helped me and my nans out a lot thank you Paul f

Went to the store about a month ago and Paul F was really helpful. We are a couple camping for the first time whilst hiking and are going to the Gower Peninsula in May. We had no idea what hiking sack/tent/mats to get, particularly as we wanted ultralight equipment but were worried this might reduce quality. Paul's knowledge, passion and expertise was clear and he gave us loads of advice and help with a friendly and approachable manner. We now have great kit that we cannot wait to use!! We bought everything from the Go Outdoors website at very competitive prices.

Great item, value for money and service

I took my 14 year old son to Go Outdoors Southampton on Sunday 1 March to get kit for his Duke of Edinburgh. All the team were wonderfully knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you particularly to Paul F for help with fitting boots and demo'ing sleeping mats and answering heaps of questions - much appreciated.

Went in to buy some Rock Climbing gear. Asked the staff who didn't know much about Rock Climbing.

However one staff member who was on his day off was browsing in store. A staff member kindly asked him to assist, and he did so without hesitation. His name was Joe.

Joe was polite, very informative and went above and beyond in helping me. I can't thank him enough for today as I was stuck in choosing the right harness and other equipment to go with it.

Order was never delivered, customer car could not find it, I did get a full refund but had to request it 🤷‍♀️

What a lovely gentleman. He came to us to point out that we could also use sand bags whilst trying child back carriers. He was great to chat to and also mentioned important things to bare in mind when deciding

Excellent helpful and knowledgeable staff at Millbrook Southampton branch. Product -a head torch - purchased but absolutely no instructions on how to
a)attach the closed loop strap to the head torch,
b) how to access the recharging socket
c) how the wave function works for all the torch options - it doesn't.
This OEX product is their own brand. I would not buy again

We met Paul F when looking to purchase a sleeping mat for our 10year old son. We knew nothing but Paul was very respectful. reassuring and patient. He is obviously very knowledgeable in terms of the product he sells and in dealing with customers which is a rare commodity in most of today’s retail experiences.
