Mary was exceptionally patient whilst I tried on numerous pairs of walking boots

My dad and I were looking for shoes/jackets for myself and Emily helped us immensely with our decisions. She was able to get the shoes in the correct size quickly and promptly. Overall excellent experience.

Holly, who served me, was extremely helpful in finding the right size and fit of trainer for me. A very pleasant young lady too.

Daniel was great - friendly, helpful and knowledgeable customer service.

Sales assistant, Daniel, was extremely helpful. He supported us to access the Go Outdoors membership in a kindly, professional way.
We were very pleased with the quality and price of our purchases using the membership scheme.

Ben the assistant was marvellous helped me choose walking shoes and camping chairs and ordered on line and having them sent to my home .Ten out of ten to this store i have always found the staff here very helpful.

Went in to buy a good raincoat for cycling, there was a great selection, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

I visited GO Outdoors (York) on Saturday, 27th September to buy kit I need for a Charity Trek across the Sahara Desert. Armed with a kit list I was very fortunate to meet Toby who gave me great insight, honest advice and really good customer service. He recommended alternatives and was very knowledgeable.
He then handed me over to Andrew who was also brilliant in helping me find and recommending other items I needed.
An experience I wasn’t looking forward to, was made easier and enjoyable by both of them. Very impressed.

Normally we get really good customer service from this store but I visited the store today to try and return some walking boots which were purchased one year and a day ago and am not happy with the service received. The boots have hardly been worn but started leaking yesterday. I explained that we were in the store two days ago (which they could see by the till receipts) and if I’d known then that the boots leaked I would have brought them back then. I was told that because it was over a year ago (even by just day) they couldn’t refund me and secondly that the boots should have been reproofed. At time of purchase, we specifically asked whether they would need reproofing and we were advised by the sales person that we wouldn’t need to. I was now told that they should be reproofed approximately every three months depending on wear and if left for a while dust could have affected them. The boots are not fit for purpose and I’m not happy that I’ve now had to buy some reproofing product to try and weatherproof them enough so that I can get at least some wear out of them. Even if they couldn’t take the boots back I would’ve hoped that there would’ve been some leeway and that they would have offered me the reproofing product instead.

Eve and Josh helped me massively today with my tent exchange, got a house buying process going on and massively stressed to the point I’m forgetting my postcodes but these guys made the exchange of a expensive tent a breath of fresh air. Thankyou !!

The 2 gentlemen were very professional and courteous. We are traveling and felt very welcomed.

I was helped by a lovely girl who helped me on the tills (badge said Emma I think?), a credit to the store. Very positive experience and very helpful.

I have been hiking in the North York Moors and got bad blisters. Came to your store for new hiking boots and a long sleeved shirt. Boots are great and I am back out on the Moors. Thank you Emily!!!

Unlike previous visits, there were no staff on the upper floor. Seeing a staff member coming up the escalator, I was told go to pay desk downstairs, I've no radio. She spotted a colleague, who DID have a radio. She called for help on tent field and they walked off.
Young man came over, asked what we needed. I advised re the tent I had waiting for me. No information left with it on how much it would be as ex-display. Didn't honor the agreement made to include the carpet.
Really a rather poor experience, compared to the previous week.

Massive store, needed help from an assistant to find one of my items. She quickly and politely took me to the item with a pleasant manner
Renewed my membership and saved 20%.

They were quick and efficient. I knew what I wanted and had phoned ahead. They were very friendly. I’d definitely come again
