Had the worst experience ever at Harris Teeter/Long Point Rd, Mt. Pleasant, SC My husband is disabled and he had his service dog with him. Small and well trained dog. As soon as we approached cash stations to pay, one of cashiers started to throw paper bags at us, screaming “dog, dog” left station and screaming started to run around the store. My husband was so ashamed, that he just left the store. It is rude discrimination against a disabled person and very very insulting. Horrible experience. Will never go to this store again. Store manager did not even apologized for his employee. It was a good store 10 years ago. It changed management many times but not for good. We are lucky because we have Publix and The Fresh Market in Mt. Pleasant.

Every time I go there I’m able to find everything I want, prices are mediocre but I’ve found some good deals on produce which is usually hard to come by.

I went to the HT at 290 east Bay Street in Charleston SC on 6/13/2025. I’ve had many 0 star experiences but last Friday was the worst ever. At 3pm not a single cashier or check out lane was available. Everyone was forced into the self checkout and I had a fully packed cart. The lines backed up to the end of the store. Only when I scanned a bottle of wine and the computer shouted Help is on the way! Did an employee appear because I kept scanning items as fast as I could. I do not hate this store enough.

They sold a deli sandwich 5 days old, well past the sell by date and when I asked for a refund, they refused. They never apologized nor did they acknowledge they sold it, despite my receipt.

This job put me through interviews and a walkthrough after 2 weeks of interviews and waiting just to be let down that they choose another candidate. Wasted my time, gas, and patience. The pay was wonderful. And production pay if hired. Longs hours some days and short others depending on freight. The freezer selector has a huge turnover for the reason of it being -20°. I am unemployed, broke, and would've loved to work here except the cold. They let me down after all my time and gas invested. I see why people don't stay at this job. The staff is friendly, but apparently treat their employees and candidates like a number. I will be moving on. I've worked at a job like this and they don't care about their employees only production. You have no life but lots of money. So to you Harris teeter thank you for the opportunity and saving me from hating my life. I appreciate the chance but you did save me from not having a life outside this company. I wouldve loved the pay, but would have hated my job in such an unbearable condition of cold. My resumes speaks for itself. So you lost a great employee, but saved me from wasting my life in your company. Overpriced items because you treat your employees like slaves. Thank you again for saving me from this terrible job. I appreciate that you wasted my time and money when I needed it the most in my life. I will forever be grateful for the opportunity, but thankful I was not chosen to work for this company. Estes was bad but this seemed worse for just a few dollars more. My resume will bring me fortune in my job career. I don't need to work my life away anyways. I wanted a work life balance. So thank you.

I use their delivery service. I think it is a way to rip you off. The give you a bill for lets say 60 dollars with the prices. Then they deliver it and change all the prices and you pay 90.

I was discriminated against and denied service in the Kernersville store because I was a Jew.

Purchased live clams. 5 out of 30 were bad. The odor was surprisingly disgusting. A good seafood department would know to rinse first and check. Especially when I saw a few of the display clams dead.

This place stinks, straight up smells like a woman with a ph imbalance. 🤢

I went to Harris Teeter on Augusta St. in Greenville, SC and Kellie was our cashier and she is the sweetest and put a smile on my face!

I’ve shopped at Harris Teeter for the past 25 years. Unfortunately, the past 10 years the overall experience is becoming worse. Particularly the last two years. I try to avoid shopping at my local HT (5810 Highland Shoppes Dr) because they constantly have expired items, disgusting spills left where the meats and other cold items are stored.
Let me put it this way, I’ve seen nicer family dollars in the middle of no where (with better prices and higher quality items - not expired).

Of course if you want to reach out to anyone higher than a manager, you won’t be able to. Also, forget about shopping within 3 hours of them closing because the employees are basically hanging out and have the lanes closed. Further proving there’s nothing “special” to even validate shopping there. Jst because it’s 8:30pm they can’t work? I’m scanning all of my own items, bagging and using a small area that’s packed with other customers. Meanwhile they’re walking through isles and talking to each other.

Harris Teeter is not the same place it once was. It’s a glorified Food Lion.

Bananas 79 cents a pound. Walmart still under .40 cents. Harris Teeter is outrageously priced. This is just one example in the produce department.
Wegman's is coming.

They are very overpriced grocery store even with so called sale items they are still higher than most grocery stores. They also recently have smaller containers in their fridges which means u pay the same but u get a lot less. What a scam! Meat is all overpriced even when it’s on sale! I shop only at ALDI’s for organic meat and fruits/ vegetables,eggs and yogurt. I highly do not recommend Harris teeter here in North Carolina in the Greensboro area. I will never shop there again.

I have just logged into my Harris Teeter Pharmacy account to request refill of prescription. They have implemented a new policy on their website. In order for a patient to be able to access ANYTHING on their pharmacy page (My Refills, My prescriptions, My Profile etc) you have first to accept the following:" I consent to receive communications (including, but not limited to text messages and emails) from the Kroger Family of pharmacies, clinics and dietitians that may be delivered by using pre-recorded or other automated messages. Communications may include marketing about my prescriptions, other health-related benefits and services that may be of interest to me (including availability of clinical trials), and/or privacy related communications and notices. This consent is not required as a condition of purchase.". There is NO option to DECLINE above, only ACCEPT above.. Huge misinformation, in order to make request for refill and purchase medication I HAVE TO CONSENT first to above. Don't see what other options I have here, I'm forced to drive to store and ask in person for refill , otherwise I will have to consent first to their advertisement in order to make a medication purchase. Never encountered such practice before with any other store pharmacy. Highly disappointed.

A few weeks ago I notified Harris-Teeter that the restroom in the store was beyond dirty and that I believed it was nasty. I got a call from the manager who said he'd remediate it. Visiting the store again today, I see it's still nasty - there's something growing on the wall by the door.

The worst delivery service that I ever tried. It was delivered late; and main item that I ordered was not delivered without a notice. Very very bad, I DO NOT RECOMMEND at all.

I drove down from PGH PA to Pinehurst NC this week and stoped by a Harris Teeter for groceries. The price on their cheeses are three times (yes, three times) what we pay for better product (Delallo) in PGH, I was shocked at what NC people are being subject to in price gauging. NC customers should push back.

Poor customer service. Harris Teeter Indian Land SC keeps ripping off its customers by not giving all fuel points earned; Coke products are buy 2 and get 1 free; when checking out, no credit for the 1 free six pack of Coke given; customer service representative said that Dr. Pepper was a Pepsi product and that was the reason; wrong again; produce department had a lot of empty shelves; meat department employees simply looked at you and didn't help; provided the wrong product; manager was not available to discuss the recent experience; the manager was hiding under their rock. Simply a terrible Indian Land SC Harris Teeter; wait until the new Lowe's food store and Costco opens in 2025 not to mention the new Target scheduled to open in 2025, too. Shopping more at Aldi now; get 20-40% off similar products that are just as good as named brands.

I bought some groceries for dinner and one of my bags was not put into my cart. I got home and realized what I was missing. I drove all the way back to Harris Teeter, saw the cashier who was speaking with another employee and had no customers, and asked her about it. She said she gave the bag to customer service. No apology. So I waited and finally just said there should be a bag behind the counter with my groceries. The man said he had put them back. Go ahead and get them. So I proceeded to go back to the grocery store to get my two items that were missing from my cart. He waved me through. No I’m sorry or responsibility was taken for their mistake. I understand people make mistakes, but basic customer service dictates that you at least apologize. Very disappointed.
