The quality has gone down significantly…
The quality has gone down significantly since a few years ago. Recently purchased 4 polo shirts, all medium size,they should have been identical except the color but a few are different lengths and shape. Two of them are about three inches longer than the other. I would post a photo but Trustpilot does not allo it. Also this must be the only shop that doesn't accept gift cards to be used for online shopping, you have to travel to the store to use it. I will continue buying from Charles Tyrwhitt, they have never disappointed me.

The color is completely off, and the quality is not what I expected! I ordered linen khaki but received a dark green and olive shade that I can't quite identify. The fabric isn't the premium glossy, premium material I was hoping for that price.

Great shirts awful company
Great shirts awful company. Poor communication and pass the buck between different sections. I was charged twice and they sent out a duplicate order. They now expect me to pay the return postage which is nearly as much as the shirts cost.
Great quality shirts but i will never buy from them again.
Use Charles Thyrrit instead.

Last week i came to buy a suit at the Hawes & Curtis in Brent Cross for a few weddings i have this summer. Nitin Tailor managed to size and fit me into the exact suit I was looking for, his customer service was 10/10 ensuring i was happy with every single detail whilst providing his expert advice. Never made me feel pressured and ensured I was happy with the feel and fit before i purchased. Could not have been happier and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for their perfect suit.

How Customer Service should be.
I purchased a suit online but the trousers seemed a bit bigger that I like so called the Customer Services to see if there was another pair in the smaller size, they didn’t have online but did in the Cannon Street branch. I called and spoke to Chris who was so helpful and actually ordered a pair in for me from another branch and I went down to the store, tried them and exchanged them with my other pair and was just in time for a wedding I was attending. Chris went above and beyond to ensure I was happy with the product. Great quality items too.

The customer service is useless. Their typical reply to literally anything is "I'm afraid we're unable".
I used to be a loyal customer, I purchased several items from them, and I tried to get some information about other models and item details - I could similarly speak to their stupid AI bot.

Stylish, airy and comfortable!
I was impressed with this stylish, airy shirt and my first shopping experience at HAWES & CURTIS. The material is certainly thinner and lighter in weight than that used in standard linen shirts, making it perfect for hot, humid days. The shirt was soft to the touch and felt weightless which is highly valued by someone like me who has sensitive skin. The 3 XL 'slim fit' was generous in sizing; it fitted like a classic fit which was perfect for me!
Furthermore, I bought this at a bargain price of £35. The staff at the Brent Cross branch were extremely friendly, courteous and hospitable. They promptly attended the phone to help me find the store, welcomed me with a smile, guided me to the changing rooms so I can try the shirt on and subsequently packaged it. Given the above, I will definitely shop again at Hawes & Curtis!

Poor quality shoes and customer service
Edited to add: the shoe repair shop said that the shoes had degraded so badly that they needed re-welting. Hawes and Curtis declined to refund me, and told me to do a chargeback with my credit card instead.
I expected much better from Hawes & Curtis. I bought a pair of shoes in November 2025, and after only eight months the sole started separating from the shoe. For a premium brand, I don’t believe this is acceptable.
Customer services initially dismissed the issue as “reasonable wear and tear”, and offered me 15% off their store, as if I would buy another pair of shoes from them! After I challenged this, they offered either a 15% refund or to reimburse the cost of a repair if I arranged and paid for it myself.
While I appreciate the offer, I’m disappointed they weren’t prepared to take greater responsibility for what I believe is a quality issue. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t buy shoes from Hawes & Curtis again.

Great customer service at Westfield
I went to the Westfield branch for a suit for a wedding - the staff there could not have been more helpful, working out what was best for me in terms of fit and style.
Thanks in particular to Zay, who was brilliant in getting the suit fitted for me.

The price for shipping and handling is ridiculous. How it when fron 4.95 to 17.95 in 2 weeks. Looks like we're paying for tariffs again. Not just you're paying for shipping, if you have to return something, it's way difficult to contact them and on top of that, you have pay for the returns.

Avoid Jermyn Street Store …
The service received from the Jermyn Street store has been profoundly unsatisfactory. On 30 June 2026, my son attended a fitting for a tailored suit — an occasion that should have marked an important personal milestone. Upon collecting the suit on 6 July 2026, it became evident that the trousers had been measured and hemmed incorrectly.
What followed was a series of contradictory and unclear communications from both the store and customer services. Despite assurances that the matter would be addressed, no definitive resolution has been provided, and as of 15 July 2026, the issue remains outstanding.
The mishandling of this situation, combined with the emotional impact on my son, reflects a concerning lack of professionalism and accountability. For a brand that promotes itself as a reputable tailoring specialist, this experience has fallen significantly below acceptable standards.

Hidden fees
I find it pretty shocking that they don’t clearly say that returns aren’t free.
The wording on their website “We offer 28-day returns… » is carefully chosen and honestly feels misleading. Most people will naturally assume that means returns are free, when in reality they have to pay for them.
It’s a disappointing way to communicate with customers, especially at a time when people are looking for brands that are transparent and treat their customers with respect. This kind of messaging feels pretty disingenuous and doesn’t inspire much trust.

Really a disapointing experience and I…
Really a disapointing experience and I just warn you - never ever never buy anything there ! The return process is ridiculous and I had to pay 10€ each item (cost 39€) for returning and all items are made in Bangladesh (business shirts!!).
To be honest I wanted to cancel the order already 3 minutes after placing the order but they declined.
REALLY AVOID HAWES & CURTIS !!! IT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED !!!
