We have bought several items from here and have always been impressed with the service, price and genuinely helpful and non-pushy sales advice.

However, they surpassed themselves with our latest purchase. We found that our large upright freezer in our attached garage was emitting a warning signal and the red light was on indicating a fault. We checked the door was closed and tried switching off and on when alarm stopped. We left it for a time but it did not seem to be working and realised that if we left it too long we would lose all the food inside. We went down to the Plymouth store at 12:30pm and explained the problem and the sales adviser was very helpful explaining that they had a suitable freezer which had only just arrived. We arranged to buy this with delivery, unpacking and disposal of the old freezer. We returned home and before we had finished clearing the garage to allow easier access they were at the door. The new freezer was duly unpacked and plugged in - at just 1:45pm so 1.25 hours from entering the store to having an installed replacement including a 15 minute journey from the store to our house. They even returned the next day to collect the old freezer as we had to wait for the new freezer to get down to temperature before transferring the food.

We considered this to be exceptional and are happy to highly recommend this company.

Once again, I'd like to recommend a visit to Woolacotts store, as once visited you'll never go elsewhere but return for every electrical purchase. It's clean welcoming, the products are easy to find & professionally displayed. Yesterday we returned to buy a new washing machine & sought Shay to help us & advise on our purchase. Shay has been consistently professional & his product knowledge is immense. I would also at this point add our thanks to the delivery teams for their help when carefully bringing previously purchased goods to our home

I bought an LG C1 65" TV. Amazing company to deal with and so impressed with the delivery team. Buy local is the way to go.

Great store who could not do more to keep their customers happy.

Price matched a washing machine from AO including a discount code we had for them.

There was an initial issue with delivery but they sorted this promptly and was always kept updated.

The delivery team were great and got the product in the gap even though it was difficult to do, without a single complaint.

The machine had an initial issue ( not HBH's fault) and they came out to look again promptly.

Although still having issues with the product (again not HBH's fault) it is being dealt with in the appropriate manor.

The customer service from the Plymouth store is 5* and I will always return to them over larger retailers in future.

What a wonderful company!! Honestly, one of the best ones out there. Phoned them to source a hard to find product. Lauren from Bude store was wonderfully courteous and polite, and so very helpful. The product came into stock next day and was shipped out immediately. How much more perfect could they be? And they were the cheapest as well!! Top marks to them! So happy with my experience!

I purchased a freezer online from here in August. Everything went like clockwork. I was kept informed by phone of the status of the order. The delivery guys called me once they were en-route, found our address first time, and took away the old appliance. Very happy, thank you.

We have purchased items on three occasions, the latest being replacement integrated fridge and separate freezer. On each occasion the service was helpful and friendly and the items were installed with the fitters polite and professional with the completed job being fitted better than the old items. All this with very competitive prices and no fuss with delivery and disposal of old appliances. This is now our first port of call for any household items and we have recommended them to friends and family, two of whom have made purchases there and were equally impressed.

I have now made three purchases from Woolacotts. In an era where the internet provides price transparency the differentiating factor is service. Woolacotts provides this in abundance ; from pre sale advice to delivery and installation. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

I purchased a washing machine last year and i had a problem with it. I phoned Woolacotts and a very efficient lady advised me that my machine was still under warranty. She organised a machine engineer who diagnosed the problem ordered parts and now they have been fitted. All this was carried out with the utmost of professionalism. Thank you all for doing such a grand job so well.

A first class service all around. TV needed a repair after 3 and a half years. The guys took TV to their repair workshop , loan set installed and Tv repaired and re set up working well. Service like this is hard to find nowadays. Highly recommended

Always my first port of call for electricals and white goods.

Their prices are usually competitive and they offer a good local service to those of us in their catchment area in the West Country. They have their own engineers and also, reasonable charges for collecting and recycling old appliances, unlike many national suppliers.

Excellent service all round. Purchased washing machine, cost inc. fitting and disposal of old machine comparable to Curry’s. Installer polite and efficient, in and out in 20 minutes. Highly recommended.

My Pioneer amp developed a fault within the two year warranty. Pioneer were hopeless, and three months later have yet to supply the replacement parts. Woolacotts have been excellent, especially Catherine at Bude, who arranged a Yamaha upgrade as a replacement. Great service and friendly with it.

Customer Service at this branch in Bude, is absolutely superb. They listen and they help intelligently - so very rare. I have had dealings with Santander, Hastings Direct, Saga [and it was], amongst others, this past year and a half and HBH Woolacotts was my most positive and life affirming experience. I don't know what their training or ethos is - but it is impeccable and it made me happy in my purchase and it actually re-affirmed my faith in the human race!

The 2 star rating is for customer service and not the product purchased, which we are happy with. We purchased an appliance from Woolacotts in October 2019 and with it came a fitting service. The fitters did not fit the appliance correctly causing a substantial amount of water to leak onto the floor, and causing cracks to some of the floor tiles. In response to this Woolacotts sent out another fitter to fit it correctly and also provided a dehumidifer, which had to be kept on all day and night for several weeks in order to dry the floor out. Woolacotts offered a voucher to spend in their store, as compensation. However, we do not want a voucher, we would like a contribution towards the costs to replace the cracked tiles. We are not asking for them to pay for the cost of replacing the whole of the flooring but a contribution towards the cost, which is reasonable. After leaving messages for the manager, he has not returned my calls and therefore this issue is still unresolved. This is an update, after posting this review, Woolacotts got in touch and this has now been resolved satisfactorily. Therefore I am changing the star rating from a 2 to 4 stars. It would have been 5 stars if this matter had been resolved quickly but because it has taken 1 year and 4 months to resolve this matter, I can only give it a 4 star rating.

You may think you can only achieve competitive pricing by using the Internet and major players. Think again, I couldn't be more pleased to have found Woolacotts
who provided a first class local service when I purchased three items during a kitchen re-vamp. Everything you would want from a local retailer,very helpful staff during the Covid Pandemic, and competitive.

Having first bought from them a couple of months ago, I suspect I won’t be buying anywhere else. Their customer support is fantastic, the installation team truly amazing and no obstacle cannot be overcome. Their instore staff are highly knowledgeable. I don’t tend to write many reviews but they really are very good.
