Extremely disappointed in this place they had the opportunity to respond to my email but couldn’t be bothered so I will post it on here.
Ordered food from the promotional weekday menu. Beans contained pork which it didn’t state on the menu and I don’t eat pork. I found this out because I ate some of the beans and asked what the meat was inside and I was told it’s pork. The corn on the cob was stone cold. The hot chocolates me and my partner ordered taste like 95% milk. The gravy with my meal was warm. And we waited nearly 20 minutes just for a plain vanilla ice cream for my daughter which I had to remind the waitress to bring.The takeaway waffles and chicken contained bacon which I said no bacon and no syrup. The standards in the restaurant has gone down drastically over the years as it seems very rushed food or very slow service

We went to hickory's in Telford, recently lost my wife's mother, on finding out about my wife's situation the manager Jordan covered our bill . A really gesture from the staff at Telford. And yes the food was amazing.

My first visit to Hickory’s Standish my husband (NFL fan) has been trying to get me in since it opened last year and I absolutely loved it from the decoration which is totally my vibe, the customer service which was outstanding all serving staff are a credit to the venue and lastly the food which was so tasty I normally struggle eating out as I’m so fussy. I had the Mac n Cheese with fries which you’d think would be bland but it was so flavoursome and not short on cheese either absolutely delicious. My husbands tray was piled with assorted meats that just fell off the bone and a side of I believe is bourbon sauce which I was jealous of as it too was amazing. If you haven’t been I can only say go asap it’s a brilliant place that I will be making a habit of going.
Well Done it’s a great place.

Had lunch here today, yummy, the food was brilliant, the meat so tender and tasty, the service excellent and the environment was country. I recommend this restaurant and give it five star rating. I am gluten intolerant and my meal was gluten free. Thank you to the staff and Manager for their excellent service and food 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I’ve been to Hickory’s many times and the majority of meals has always been good, as well as an enjoyable experience. I’d recommend trying it once in Wallheath if you haven’t already.

The only comment I will make is that prices are starting to get a bit high for the food being served.

Went today for lunch food wasn’t the best, food was cold and very overpriced. I have been to this same hickory’s twice on an evening and can’t fault the food. Ive also been twice at lunch time. Ive come to the conclusion that it’s either different chefs cooking the food for lunch and evening meals or food served at lunch time is the days before meat as it is very dry. So I’d avoid going during the day.

Overpriced and not good food at sheffield crystal peaks branch..service was good but clearly dont have a clue what theyre doing or how to serve drinks..wont go again as prices are rediculous

I'm reviewing the Wall Heath restaurant. Hickory's is fantastic for diners of all ages (we were a party of seven, ages ranged from 73 to nine months). The waiters and waitresses were very pleasant, we weren't waiting too long for food, they gave us generous portions of high quality deep south food and we weren't rushed. Your time slot is based on your party size, ours was a relaxed two and a half hours. Excellent for birthdays!

I think Hickory’s has gone downhill since I was there a year ago. It seems to have lost some of its charm. The restaurant was very busy and there were dirty, sticky bar tables. The staff seemed overly stressed and dissatisfied. Food was good albeit pricey.

We booked Hickory’s Smokehouse in Swindon for a double 17th birthday celebration and unfortunately left feeling very let down. We arrived a little early and were asked to wait at the bar until our table was ready. Fifteen minutes after our booked time, I asked for an update. The waiter went to check, only to find that our table had been given to someone else. He told us a manager would come speak to us, which took another ten minutes before we were finally shown to our table—two tables pushed together near the kitchen area.
By the time our drinks were ordered and we were finally able to order food, it was around 9pm—45 minutes after our reservation.
When the food arrived, things finally looked up. Everything was delicious, and for a moment we felt relieved that we’d chosen to celebrate there.
However, while we were eating, we watched a school friend of one of our boys being served a birthday cake while the staff sang “Happy Birthday.” Our two birthday boys braced for their own moment… but it never came. No cake, no song, no acknowledgement at all. Our waitress even clocked out before we’d finished eating, and by 10pm we were all just ready to leave—with two very disappointed birthday boys.
Such a shame, because the food really was good. But the service completely spoiled what should have been a special evening. You only turn 17 once, and our boys will remember how their friend was celebrated while they were overlooked.

Quite disappointed with our visit to hickory’s thornaby! We had good expectations having previously been to the York one and it being amazing. At thornaby the menu was different to York and the food just didn’t taste like the York one what so ever. It took forever for drinks and food to arrive, and when it did it wasn’t hot! Some staff members looked absolutely miserable like they would rather be anywhere else but there! Tables all close together meaning it was not a nice experience. And they don’t do the specials on the menu

Booked last minute for a family of 4, not one of us enjoyed or finished our meals, the steak I ordered was cold and very fatty..
My son who eats everything and anything, left I would say 70% of the carnivor tray.
The Food is quite expensive but if you enjoy it then price doesn't matter.
When paying the bill that was well over £100 I was asked how the food was my daughter wanted me to say okay and leave unfortunately I told the truth it wasn't great and we where all disappointed with all our meals.
We got the price of 4 cokes knocked off the bill has a good will gesture for not been asked during our meal if the food was okay!
I would put my steak on par with weatherspoons steak at triple the price.

We visited Hickorys in Gresty Green, Cheshire last night for my birthday. We were a table of 9. Staff were very attentive and friendly, drinks and food were absolutely fabulous (no complaints at all) and too top it off i received a lovely cream donut with a sparkler as a birthday 🎈 treat.

The only suggestion we all had was the place definitely needs some American style music be played in the background.
The restaurant really caters for the young/teens and young families . Needs a little more of a vibe. Thank you again.

It's over priced, I had the smoke house platter for 1 person, it cost £40 and I can honestly say I've had more food on £20 mixed grills in the past. The food is tasty and the service is really good but not worth the money.

This is our second visit as a family to Hickory's Gamston.

Again we enjoyed the food and service was great! It's not the cheapest place to eat out as a family but as a treat or birthday.

Will definitely be back soon!

We were a party of four went to Hickory’s crystal peaks Sheffield on Christmas Eve the service was very good and the meal was really nice I would definitely go there again you pay for what you get

I ordered the chicken burger, which to be fair tasted good, however tell chef that the cheapo cheese dried up squares spoiled the meal. I expected real cheese as per menu photo.

Visited the Milton Keynes today for the fist time around 2pm was greeted with extremely unfriendly staff, namely a young girl with long brown girl. Will not return you should invest in training your staff. Lady was very unfriendly. First and last time for me

Cardiff. The venue is fine with lots of parking and set up like a true USA diner type environment. In truth, the food wasn’t good. Over cooked, over salty and pretty unhealthy. Probably wouldn’t go back.

myself and my friend dined on the 17th Dec 2025 at Hickorys Wallheath.
Both had the beef brisket and both had sickness and awful stomach cramps on the evening. lt took till the 24th Dec to get any reply. Eventually got a call back from a Phillipa basically didn't want to know and pretty much accused me of lying to get a free meal! Said we should have got samples, even though l had no idea, my friend had been sick as well till the next day as we obviously dont live together. Her customer service was awful and very patronising. very disappointed and won't be spending my money there again
