Howdens - Orpington Reviews 

Everyone at Howdens Orpington branch was friendly and helpful. Amanda, our kitchen designer was extremely knowledgeable and helped combine needs, likes, available space and budget to create a fantastic kitchen space. Nothing was too much trouble for her, she gave good advice, explained everything clearly and made it a very straightforward process. A good range of styles, worktops and fittings available, as well as flooring, good to be able to select a complete package in one place.

We really liked a kitchen and got a quote, only for us to go a different route and then suddenly Howdens could slash nearly 50% off the price but it was too late by then.

Maybe start with your best price and then you won’t lost customers rather than trying to exploit a situation.

This is the reputation you are giving Howdens as I have heard similar from multiple others, customers and tradesmen alike.

They won’t be beaten on price!
Although you might tell them exactly what they are competing on, it’s not necessarily what you end up with.
Check your paperwork before you sign as it was too late for me.

Good service

Very helpful staff

It pains me to write this review but, having ordered a "top of the range" "true in frame" Ilfracombe kitchen in October, it's now March and we still don't have everything required to complete the kitchen and have had so many mistakes, wrong items delivered, items missing or not ordered, wrong sizes, wrong colours and broken promises I've lost count.

I ordered for a kitchen, utility, kitchenette, boot-room and wardrobe so we're not talking a small order or amount of money but there have been so many issues and they're still ongoing.

The staff try and be helpful and our salesman is nice enough but I've come to the end of my tether with his mistakes, the latest one being delivery of doors that are the wrong size that we waited three months for as they weren't identified properly and sat in the warehouse since December.

Also, the Ilfracombe kitchen itself is advertised as "true in frame" and comes at a price premium, but I would guess that maybe only 40% of the units are actually in-frame (draws and a few cupboards) but a large percentage is still faux-in-frame, even on units that should be (e.g. Oven Housing).

At the behest of the salesman I rushed the order through in October to help them meet their targets, I just wish the same level of urgency and rigour had been applied to get me the correct units I need to complete the kitchen.

The staff at the Orpington branch went above and beyond to help remedy a situation that a cowboy builder left an elderly couple in.

We found Howdens in Orpington to be very helpful, efficient and polite.

I found the staff extremely knowledgeable, efficient and helpful . I was shown different samples and any questions I had were answered . The kitchen design unit was amazing especially being able to see how your kitchen will look . Being able to see how the finished article will look with added helpful suggestions of how you may achieve what you are looking for. I had previously bought a Howdens kitchen in my last house so I already knew how good their products are. I would have no hesitation in using Howdens Orpington again .
