The Crown Hotel
The Crown Hotel, St Thomas Street, Weymouth.
Used to have a good name in their restaurant.
But this year, my support group, 10 of us pre-booked in 1 pm,4th December. We’re looking forward to a £27 3 course Xmas meal.
However, soup was watery and Luke warm. Starters not hot. Main course,roasties still a bit hard. Meat very nice. Looked like packs of sliced supermarket meat 4 slices of carrot, 3 sprouts very meager. Again fairly cold. One of our ladies asked a waiter to please warm this meal up “ he was rude to her “ you want another meal do you.” “ No. I’m just asking you to heat it up please”. He was rather stressed. Not very good atmosphere. It’s a lot of money for Luke warm meager portions.
Female waiting staff lovely. Female bar staff lovely.
Shame. Lived here all my life. Used the hotel occasionally in the past for Xmas dos. This has saddened the whole group.
