Terrible, never again.

I am extremely disappointed with both the product quality and customer service provided by this company.

We purchased a new Wendy house supplied in multiple parts. While each bag included a parts list, the contents were completely mixed, requiring us to open every bag and manually measure components to identify them. This made the initial stages unnecessarily time-consuming.

The quality of the wood was highly inconsistent. Some pieces appeared new and well-finished, while others looked as though they had been stored in damp conditions for an extended period. In addition, several components did not match the dimensions stated in the instructions. Some key structural beams were warped or incorrectly cut, resulting in an uneven overall construction.

No printed instructions were provided—only an online manual. This made assembly more difficult, as I had to repeatedly scroll through the document on my phone to locate part dimensions for each step.

The most significant issue arose during roof assembly. The instructions specify roof boards at 143mm in width; however, all supplied boards were approximately 20mm shorter. This prevented the required overhang from being formed, making the next stage of construction impossible.

Additionally, the supplied screws were insufficient to complete even half of the build, forcing me to purchase additional materials at my own expense.

I contacted customer service to resolve these issues. The process itself was frustrating—image uploads were limited to 10MB per file, and despite being advised I could upload multiple images in one ticket, the system only allowed one per submission. I was then instructed to create multiple tickets, which was both inefficient and time-consuming.

After reviewing my evidence, the company acknowledged some parts were substandard but claimed this would not affect structural integrity. They agreed to send replacement roof boards and additional screws. However, the replacements were also incorrect (still undersized), and the quantity of screws provided was insufficient.

When I raised this again, I received inconsistent and contradictory responses. At one point, I was told that smaller boards may be sent if correct ones are out of stock, and that I should simply use more of them to compensate. This does not align with the design specifications and does not resolve the issue of the missing overhang.

At this stage, I requested a full refund and return. I was informed that I would need to cover the return shipping costs, despite the product being faulty and incomplete.

In summary, I received a product that was of poor quality, incorrectly specified, and incomplete. The customer service experience only added to the frustration, with unclear guidance and inadequate resolutions offered.

I would strongly advise others to consider alternative suppliers.

TERRIBLE

TERRIBLE - UNHELPFUL - RUDE. I bought a Billy Oh "Heavy Duty Windowless Log Cabin shed". Ordered in September '25, Finally delivered (late, due to production issues) in December. Far too rainy until March '26 to consider building it. Stored it all in a dry and heated garage the entire time. When it came to building it last week we discovered the planks/logs on just ONE wall (the ones either side of the doors) were a different height and profile to the others. Each plank was thicker (didn't slot into the adjacent plank) and 5 mm taller than all the others. That would make just the front wall 75 mm higher than the other three and the corner joints would not align. Billy Oh told me it must have been incorrectly stored as some of it was left in the rain! Wrong, it was all in my garage. They refuse to do anything about it. They will not even replace any damaged items or the poor quality pieces. Most battens and finishing pieces are split, bent, or unusable. VERY POOR QUALITY. VERY POOR FINISH. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Looks like I will have to get the replacements and new planks made up myself now at my own expense.

BillyOh Parma 6 Seater Round Firepit Rattan Dining Set

The product, a BillyOh Parma 6 Seater Round Firepit Rattan Dining Set, was delivered on 5th March 2026 it was delivered on the back of an open back truck in the pouring down rain.

The boxes had some thin plastic wrap around them, however this did not fully protect them So the boxes were beyond salvageable.

Upon inspection/assembly, we discovered that the product is not of satisfactory quality or fit for purpose. Specifically:
• 1. Two chairs were damaged and had been severed rattan threads.
• 2. 1 set of cushions were missing.
Previous Attempts to Resolve:

I have already contacted the team via phone/email but have not received a satisfactory resolution.

I’ve been offer a GOGW of 10%, I rejected that as to replace two damaged chairs would cost circa £300.00 and cushion set circa £50.00 total of £350.00.

I was then offered another GOGW of £150.00 again I rejected this, and asked for a full refund and collection.

This is when the staff started to ignore my concerns and give me misleading and confusion information.

I eventually spoke to a lady called Anita, who agreed to a collection and full refund, and I was told to could just wrap the items up in plastic and tape, even if it was Bin bags. (Have the email to confirm this from them)

I proceeded to wrap the items up and sent over the pictures. Then to be told the table required to be disassembled. That is fair and this was done the same day/ Again pictures sent over to confirm this was done.

I’ve now been contacted by a different person telling to disassemble the chairs.

As I’ve already explained the chairs are one pre built chair and can’t be disassembled in anyway.

I’ve also been told to package them up as they were deliver again as already explained this is not possible as the boxes are past reasonable usage due to the wet weather on delivery of an open back truck that you delivered.

This has been one of the most stressful ordeals I’ve ever had to undertake. I feel that I’m being ignored and fobbed off at every email, and then to add to this each email is taking 3 days to respond to form the staff. And only one reply per each time.

**Update**

So I emailed the CEO Mr Charles Walton to make a formal complaint, as again and again I'm being lied to.

I had a reply from Miya someone different again (What a surprise) anyway. It was confirmed that they would arrange a collection on Friday 27th March 2026. Collection times would be between 13:43 and 19:43.. Great news.

NO it was not as yet again I was lied to and no collection or communication was forth coming.

Clearly more lies and miss information, as a vulnerable customer I find this lever of incompetence a disgrace. I’ve wasted a half day Holiday of mine waiting for this collection.

I will not be taking more time off work to wait in for your non collection dates and times.

Hey Charles if you read this I hope you are pleased with the level of incompetence of your company. The way your company treat customers is dreadful and a disgrace.

***UPDATE 2 *****

Another update.
Saturday morning at 7:45am an open back truck arrived full of sheds.
The person explained he was here to collect the patio set.

However he refused to collect it saying he could not secure it on his truck with the chairs assembled and packaged in plastic. (I explained it is packaged as directed by the company)

Again I had to explain that the chairs do not come apart and are pre built as 1 module each. (How difficult is this to understand)

At this rate it would have been cheaper for you to have just given me the cost of the two chairs and missing cushions at £350.00.

I’m getting sick off all this trouble now, the person had a net over the sheds so would have secured it just fine, if they had come towards the end of the day with the truck empty and full to the top.

purchased an Aston Garage

purchased an Aston Garage, lots of bits missing, bits damaged, bits that don't fit, banana shaped bits of timber, you can get replacement parts from them if you are prepared to wait about 7 weeks, I did my own repairs cos I didn't have time to wait, the top rafters were out of line by 2 inches to think these guys make this stuff everyday it's shamefully embarrassing very unprofessional, my dog could have done better, I really should be compensated for the extra money I spent, they did offer to review any receipts I sent them and probably try n haggle but thats just more hassle I don't need, I would fully recommend you buy from somewhere else, I will bump and edit this regularly so they don't forget who I am

Avoid

Great delivery guy, but various missing items

Our driver was very polite and friendly, he kept us informed and turned up exactly when he said. However sadly when I returned from work later that day to give through the delivery with the parts check list 7 items are missing, such a shame as we've spent a lot of money on the garden building and have booked time and help to put it up asap which now all has to be delayed and have to go through the annoyance of contacting Billy Oh to rectify the missing items.

Poor quality shed felt

Purchased shed roof felt.It was paper thin and
ripped easily.The picture of the shed in the Salesbrochure shows thick felt this is not what you get.Poor quality.Waste of money it was not cheap.Bought via b&q online.

If one could give zero stars then this company would deserve that. They trade under garden buildings direct and Billy oh. When I placed an order I received many emails to ask me to send photo id and council tax which I did. They ignored that and kept requesting documentation. I was so fed up I cancelled the order the day after placing it. I was then contacted to say production was underway. I tried to contact them directly no one answered the phone. I then raised a complaint with PayPal to cancel the order. A month later I received an email telling me the playhouse was nearly ready to be delivered. I then contacted my credit card company and they took the case up as I had been with them over 20 years. They refunded the money. The company sent me an email to say they had refunded me and this turned out not to be the case. My advice would be to avoid these 2 companies or risk losing your money.

I would seriously advise anyone who is considering purchasing a product from KYBOTECH, GARDEN BUILDINGS DIRECT or BILLYOH to go elsewhere and save yourself from a lot of hassle and stress.

After placing my order, which should have been delivered within 9 weeks, trying to contact the business is impossible!! You will be directed to an outsourced foreign call centre who are worse than useless. I held on in hope of receiving my order but after 16 WEEKS I gave up. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!!!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

We bought one of their insulated garden rooms in April - waited months and months for it to be delivered and then multiple parts were missing or damaged. It has been a disaster from start to finish even though it's still not finished as we're still awaiting further missing parts that they keep delaying. The building itself however is also completely not fit for purpose and is leaking water all over the place due to the terrible design. Multiple people have told us how dreadful the design and parts are - and that the roof will likely not last the year.

Please do not waste your money - we have reached our limit and have now requested a refund. Next step is to report them to every possible trading standard authority!

What an excellent couple of lads. Paul and Adam ( laurel and Hardy ).
Both had been on the road for many hours. Both had smiles on their faces. And helped move the parts form both trucks effortlessly and skilfully.

Terrible take your money but no goods

I ordered my summerhouse on the 2nd July which wasnt chesp and cannot obtain a delivery date from this company I have contacted them by phone and email and i receive the same reply sorry for the delay its in production. Is this a scam are they taking customers money and not delivering the products. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY I am surprised that trading standards have not investigated them.

Despite issues with the length of time of waiting for the log cabin and some issues with the quality of it. I wanted to highlight how amazing and helpful the HMF logistics delivery driver Paul was - he made the unloading so easy and was very helpful with advice on how to build and protect it!

Well where shall I start

Well where shall I start, as a courier these are terrible, I believe they area third party team via BQ, who I brought my metal shed from online, the shed weighed 77kgs, delivery was 2men, barrow truck, no problem, but I was told it should have been kerbside drop, I've been informed that kerbside drops, are technically not my property or any one else's, now returns, after reading more online reviews I realised I had made a big mistake, so applied to return, unfortunately the package was left in my back garden in a box, I covered it over but it rained heavy, now I was told to re package, how? , no help at all, tidy box up, man turns up to collect on his own, looked at and refused to take, so wrapped in tarpaulin best we could,sent photos, not good enough packing, ok, got some cardboard boxes, packed lots of tape, sent photo,ok now to collect, managed to get it on kerbside, with help from 2, young lads, will collect on 15th, no they didn't, today 16th, van arrived, one man, no lifting gear. 77kgs one man he couldn't do it, I had to help, I'm 66, have a hernia, but I just wanted it gone, so overall disgusting service, not helpful in any way, and I'm still being charged for collection of shed return, spoke with BQ, customer service,and they have said because they use a third party courier, there's nothing they can help me with, please do not use, disgusting service from both parties, Ian& Janet Deal Kent

Customer service is shocking

Customer service is shocking . I would NOT recommend using this company. We purchased a 7mtr x 3mtr log cabin, the delivery was diabolical. The driver manually unloaded every component onto my drive without any protection on the base ie: taken off the palette. It was noted at the time that there were multiple parts damaged of which the driver was advised and an email sent to them.
When we started construction 25th August 2025 we found that at least half of the timber sections were warped/twisted beyond being useable.
After, over a week of phone calls, emails and photographs to prove the items were faulty they finally agreed they would replace the parts.
We have contacted customer services repeatedly over the last 5 weeks and we are still waiting for the replacement parts. They just keep saying they will get in touch when they are available??? Our log cabin is partially erected and is now getting damaged due to the weather.
They are not interested

I had a call from someone called ?Myra this morning at 8:27. I was on the school run and missed the call. I have tried calling back THREE times since - the first 2 times I waited in a queue for 10-15 minutes before the call just hanging up on me! The third time I finally managed to get through to an actual human - but the call quality was terrible with a 2-3 second delay, meaning another waste of time!

I have requested to cancel my order. I would ask that you please acknowledge this. To save any more back and forth I will list my reasons below:

- Placed order end of April 2025. Paid initial deposit by credit card, financing the remaining balance through Novuna.

- Part of my order (the log bar) turns up a few days later. Bit strange that it was delivered so early considering the estimated time the log cabin would take to arrive. Fortunately I had a shed that I could store the log bar in whilst waiting.

- Weeks and weeks go by with absolutely no update. It gets to over 20 weeks since order date with my order status still saying "in production". I then make contact to be told that parts of my log cabin are still being made, and they cannot offer me any sort of time frame or estimate for when it will be ready.

- I then get a phone call last week from Jo telling me that somehow my log cabin is actually ready to be dispatched, despite no update previously and then being told that it was still in production? I find this very confusing and doesn't fill me with confidence.

- I check my order again and have a look at the parts list. It shows that it will be coming with 15mm floor and roof boards. Bit strange considering I paid to upgrade to 19mm floor and roof boards and this is exactly what it says on my initial order confirmation. Again no communication or update to notify me.

- I then start having a look online to see what other peoples experiences are like, and it doesn't make for good reading. Significant amount of unhappy customers due to poor customer service, poor communication, long delivery times with no updates. Then when customers have finally received their products they have turned up with missing or incorrect parts, with poor quality of wood, poor QA processes with customers being supplied with broken, split and twisted parts or parts with nails sticking out.

- Reviews on trustpilot. There are A LOT of questionable positive reviews. In my opinion (and a lot of other peoples) these are likely generated by AI and are not real. Come on - names like 'Handh Lsjch', 'Rbsns Nshxh', 'Dbsmxh Smdhd', 'Fbsna Nsjdh' - do these sound like real people!? Navigating through the vast amount of these highly questionable reviews you will find a LOT of negative reviews from REAL people.

Garden Buildings Direct/Kybotech/BillyOh/whatever you want to call yourselves - it's simple. You need to do better. People spend a significant amount of their hard earned money on these things and it just seems like you are causing so many people so much unnecessary stress and hassle, including myself. I ordered this log cabin to be a games room for my 3 young children hoping it would be of a good quality and here in time for summer for them to enjoy - silly me for giving your company a chance.

I simply don't have the time or the energy to proceed with this order any more to be left with a likely inferior product, probably needing more money spent on it just to bring it up to any reasonable sort of standard. I absolutely dread the thought of being in the position where I actually do take delivery of this product and I am left having to waste any more of my time having to navigate your poor customer service system chasing the likely damaged, sub standard, incorrect or missing parts that I will have to deal with.

Extremely poor. Breach of Subject Access Requests Regulations.

Made a subject access request which they didn’t send within the 1 Calender month timescale set out by ICO’s regulations. Also with the information they provided they have shown they have either lied to me about arranging a collection which never happened which they told me was down to the collection company. It’s either they lied or have deliberately left out the information on the subject access request. Their breach will be reported to the ICO to investigate and I will also ask them to investigate whether they have left out information which they said they had arranged but hasn’t been included.

Bedrijven kunnen reviews verzamelen via geautomatiseerde uitnodigingen. Deze reviews worden als geverifieerd bestempeld, omdat het evident is dat ze op echte ervaringen gebaseerd zijn.
