Rant about LIDS at the Sierra Vista AZ mall.
We had a hat embroidered today and it looked awful. They would not re-do the work nor give us our money back.
The girl doing it seemed to be a newbie and was constantly on the phone with her manager for help.
The thread broke and stopped at least 15-20 times just on the first letter of embroidery, that was while we were there. Who knows how many it times it stopped for the rest of the letters. The girl was having problems with the machine the whole time and kept adjusting it.
The embroidery on the hat looks shoddy and not fluid. It looks like a kid tried doing it.
She called her manager who wouldn’t do anything remaking or refunding. Said store policy is no returns. We were told to pay for the hat before it was made and weren’t told anything about any ‘store policy’.
We Spent $43 for a hat that will never be worn!!
the girls excuse was that the letters were big and that’s why it looks the way it does. If it was a seasoned employee they could have warned us about that issue and we would have gladly had the font smaller. Truth is was the machine kept breaking the thread so she had to keep starting over and adjusting the hat so it missed areas. She didn’t seem concerned about it and. She saw what the first hat we had done there years ago looked and how precise the stitching is.
Do NOT go to LIDs unless you want to waste your money!!!
Simply the worst
Simply the worst. Slow processing and shipping times (16 days to be exact) Then if you want to return anything an extra $15 is charged. The stores are no longer linked to the website. All downhill since fanatics took over. I’ll never order from here again.
Most overpriced and poor shipping…
Most overpriced and poor shipping service around. Shipping was more expenvise than the hat but did it anyways. Then no tracking number? C'mon. Do better.
Slow refund/Inventory problem
Horrible, don’t order from the website just go to the actual local store. I ordered a hat that didn’t fit so I immediately sent it back for a refund. It took them a month to refund my money and when they did they tried to only refund less than half of my money! I had to rip customer service a new one and then they sent me another $10 dollar. They said something about it was because of shipping but the shipping was 4.95 I believe which was kept and that’s fine but I don’t understand what the $10 dollars had to do with that. I mean if they were going to refund me that 10 dollar too like they said only after I complain and sent about 10 emails then why would they not refund me the whole amount of my refund at the same time? It makes no sense to me. The hat was $29 something and at first they only sent me back $14.17! Then after I complained they sent me another $9.99 3 days later! So I got $24 and some change in refund and the rest was the shipping costs which doesn’t get refunded which I know that. Anyway it was just a hassle so I’ll never order from the site again. It’s just easier to go to the local store. Also they seem to never have enough inventory, they are always out of multiple sizes and they never restock once the sizes are gone! Idk who runs this site but they are costing them money I can tell you that.

Greedy
Went to lids store to buy 2 Raptors champion hats so I can get one free. In store buy 2 get 1 free promo. Store manager couldn’t give me the promo because I was buying Raptors champion hats. Decided to buy 2 anyways with my access pass and store manager wouldn’t give me the 20% off. Because it’s a Raptors champion hat. I watch the manager remove my access pass discount manually when I was paying. What is going on Lids. Why are you so greedy? I decided to return both the hats the next day. The worst customer service. Gouging customers. I hope your reading this lids. “Lids your not the only store that sells hats”
Not being able to fulfill orders. Still we sell regardless.
Ordered a shirt through Macy’s that ship directly from lids. Said it’ll ship within 5 days. Waited over a week for me to just get an email that says that they now don’t have the shirt and don’t even know when or if they’ll get more. So they sell shirts that they don’t have and also not able to keep track of their stock. Terrible terrible company. Thanks for ruining sports merchandise. I will never purchase anything from this joke of company again.

Bought 2 raptors shirt
Bought 2 raptors shirt. One has a small whole in the middle, poor quality and fabric is thin ($49.99). The nxt day They they had a promo/sale. I have to make a call to get the price difference. Told them about that damaged product, they gave me a free returns. It is their mistake for not checking the quality of the product before shipping it. I showed them the screenshot and no improvement
I don't have time to return this. They should've at least send a new one to compensate their negligence. The other raptors shirt is still on delivery. Taking forever
Horribleness
Horribleness. Worst customer service experience I have ever had. They had issues shipping my Christmas order up for a hat when I inquired they canceled my order a month later after already charging me for it and did not re-ship the order. Needless to say I wasted my time picking out hats on Black Friday for nothing.I have been emailing the customer service group for over a month now to no avail they just ignore my request you would think it’s not too much to ask to have your order actually ship to you that you’re willing to pay for.

Takes 14 days for them to respond to me when it was supposed to take 2, then they message me and tell me to call them and they call me back an hour after I call, then when they call me, I’m put on hold and then told that they can’t do anything for me. I don’t care about the money, but they showed a massive lack of care for my issue. If they messaged me on time, I wouldn’t be as upset. Instead keep me waiting for half a month to tell me that they can’t do a thing. Terrible experience.
Don't buy from them
Don't buy from them! They don't care about their customers! Ordered 2 day air on the 18th. Checked tracking today to see it arriving on the 27th via ground shipping...Contacted them several times with no resolve. Basically told me it is what it is & didnt care at all.
These were Christmas gifts...Thanks Lids! You blocked me on every social media site except this..Real professional

Horrible shipping!! They stick to the 7 days shipping status I’ve ordered two times and this second time will be my last time!! Slow shipping process and even their customer service won’t let you cancel the order until the order has been shipped to the store tht I want it picked up from!!! Fanatics will have your hats in two days even if u don’t pay rush to ur house!!!!

Ok pricing only thing if you gonna charge 5 dollars to ship a hat you need to ship faster, it’s terrible that it takes over a week to receive 1 dam hat, where is this coming from Korea, I’m done ordering online with them , shipping is way to slow....LIDS NEEDS TO UP ITS SHIPPING GAME....I think they use turtles for shipping it’s so dam slow...SMH

Wrong Address
I will never order from lids again. I ordered two packages and they both had the wrong address on it. They left off one number on my address. This is unexceptable now I wont be able to receive my package because usps sent it back. I called lids customer service and they didnt offer any type of discount but just an I'm sorry which is BS! This company has gone down hill NEVER AGAIN!!!!! THEY DID ME DIRTY!
Online ordering does not work.
Their online ordering site does not work. I have not been able to complete an order since November. I emailed their customer service multiple times only to get lip service responses, "thanks we're looking into it". It's like they don't want you to spend money at their site.
Worst ever!
I placed an order in Dec to be shipped to the store as I figured would be faster. Then a week later no update so I attempted to call Customer Service and waited on hold over 30 min until I decided to hang up and send an email regarding the status. That evening I had 3 responses with different info...IT SHIPPED...IT HAS NOT SHIPPED...IT'S STILL PROCESSING etc I kept getting the run around from Lids customer service without accurate info! So 12 days later I get an email from Fedex with tracking and an option to have my order held at a Fedex pick up location so I did so. Once I received the DELIVERED AND READY FOR PICK UP I went to the Fedex location presented my id and they couldn't find the package so a 2nd employee came and found it. Thank goodness because I was having a busy day. I got the box home that evening opened it and there were SEVERAL other customers orders enclosed! So it's now 8 pm I rushed to the Redondo Bch CA location to return this box so that other customers can get their orders. The girl working in the store thanked me for bringing the items to them However, I was a little offended when she took a pic of the box stating she didn't want to be responsible for anything not sure what that meant because I returned it with everything minus my order which clearly had my name and slip attached. There are still honest ppl in the world. It was a great inconvenience to me and I think Cooperate or someone higher up should of reached out about this ongoing issue with shipping. Keep in mind this was my 2nd bad experience!
My first order with them was in Nov. Lids couldn't provide shipping info or order status until DHL delivered my order to my home. They just sat it in plain sight on my porch and did not ring the doorbell to let me know anything! Good I was home that day I saw it as I was about to leave and checked the tracking it was delivered hours prior it could have been stolen. I'm done with this company
Never Told Me Item Was Out of Stock
Item was out of stock but I was never notified. Poor customer service. Really terrible experience and all they did was apologize until I got angry with them, then they offered me $10 but I haven't seen it yet. I was ordering items for Christmas and now will have to try and find something else last minute. Most companies will let you know if an item is out of stock. I had to get in touch with them and found out by myself! Terrible store. DO NOT ORDER from them and I WILL NOT ORDER AGAIN! What a RIP OFF!
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. I ordered something and called back ten minutes later to change the size. After waiting on hold for more than an hour, they said they could not change the size of the shirt I ordered because it was in process. They said there was nothing they could do and did not care as they already had payment.
The service was terrible I would strongly recommend not using them.
