I have bought a few items of jewelry via auction and found the process easy to follow and the various people I dealt with very personable. So, I thought I'd give them some original artworks to sell. t... Toon meer

Lloyds Online. Don't expect to be treated well by customer service!
When you don't receive your purchase be prepared to be ignored, as though your lying and that you don't matter after you have paid for your item.
Expect to be asked everytime what lot it concerns because it's easier than reading the previous conversation threads that are below and not hear anything on your enquiry or get a response or update ...at least until you tell them after being for months you will be leaving a bad review.
Customer service is non existent and dealing with Lloyds makes you feel as though you are a liar and being laughed at. Don't expect your money back or your purchase to ever be recovered.
Shipping price outrageous!!!!!!
Shipping price outrageous!!!!!!! Stay clear purchase something for $50 and pay $50 postage absolute joke.
I've been with Lloyds for years…
I've been with Lloyds for years BUT..... Their service has been excellent, hence the 3/5. However, recently trying to get anything sorted is awful. The local branch has closed, there's no online chat, the phone waits are too long and the only way to communicate with them is via phone or TWITTER. They can't do emails or online chats but can do twitter? Why's that? Most people over a certain age don't use it. Who's making these decisions? My query is short about a pending payment..it'll only take a couple of minutes to sort out and yet my only option is to sit on the phone for half an hour or more! Not impressed.
$23k and 4 Months no Items sent,Crooks
I purchased over $28000 worth of bullion from these crooks 4 months ago and have received about $5k of it (1of4 lots) Communication back from customer service and Lloyd's management is basically non existant , I am continually sending emails an phoning weekly, looking into it sorry they keep saying. They are obviously auctioning items they don't have which is against the law, the next step is reporting them to the police.
Please everyone don't support these crooks.
I also purchased a vintage samurai sword and paid good money for it and it arrived only to be a cheap Chinese rubbish, absolute crooks.
Extremely disappointed
I recently paid over $8000 for a jewellery set that included a valuation certificate with it on the website, received the jewellery but no valuation. I have been trying for months to get this sorted with Bree on info@lloyds so don’t try and suggest I do that in your reply JUST SEND ME THE VALUATION CERTIFICATE AND STOP IGNORING ME!!!!
DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY
If you buy from this place you have rocks in your head seriously - I did and I will NEEEEVVVVEEERRR again and I do mean never again, ever buy from these people.
They have horrible people working their, with super bad attitudes and they rip you off totally misrepresenting what they sell.
I bought a car through them and it was nothing short of complete and utter junk. There condition report completely lied about the vehicle, the car is so bad I have scrapped it because its a complete danger to ever be on the road again and unlike these scam bags I have a conscience and morals.
The cow who answers their phone (if you can actually get through) is simply their to stonewall you, you will never get put through to anybody. They will ignore all your emails never return calls just give you the attitude from hell.
I used to think Grays was the worst auction house in the country but nope these people are 1M% worse - STAY AWAY FROM THEM and save yourself the grief.
Complete and utter scumbags the lot of them
Lloyds sold me FAKE Australian Opals
Lloyds sold me FAKE Australian Opals, advertised as from Lighting Ridge and supplied with CERTIFICATES.
My experience with Lloyds has been extremely time-consuming and the level of customer support received extremely poor.
Just to summarise:
- Lloyds sold me FAKE Australian Opals, advertised as from Lighting Ridge and sold with CERTIFICATES (I spent several thousand dollars for those gemstones, worth only few dollars),
- I supplied proof (certificates from Opal professionals) of the proveniente and quality of the gemstones and Lloyds ignored my initial return/refund request,
- When I informed Lloyds about my intention of performing additional professional and expensive tests, I was still ignored,
- When I received the result of the tests and threatened Lloyds about lodging a claim to the NSW Fair Trading Commission with the support of NCJV (National Council of Jewellery Valuers), I finally received a confirmation of the refund for both the fake Australian Opals and also the test performed.
They still didn`t pay the full refund as they agreed. Although Rachel M. (Regional Manager Fine Art & Luxury @ Lloyds) and Lloyd's 'Refund Team' agreed in writing about the refund on the 29th of October 2021, I`m still waiting (Over one month and a half). RIDICULOUS.
As I said the entire process was extremely time-consuming and the level of customer support received was extremely poor.
Please be careful and avoid buying items from them if you cannot inspect the items in person and with experts, especially for valuable ones.
Overcharging Shipping
Overcharging Shipping
I was charged shipping $103.15 for some small lots, All lots arrived combined one box shipped by TNT shipping. I went to the TNT website and was quoted under $35 for shipping. I also paid $23.76 for a buyer's premium.
Grossly overcharged and at their mercy. Reported to the ACCC. is there any recourse to better protect consumers from such fraudulent activities? If you have an issue with this company please report to the ACCC.
Scam Dishonest Dodgy
Scam Dishonest Dodgy. Strange the only good star reviews didn't leave a review, fake accs. Beware & dont purchase if you expect a good deal. Bought a tandoor for $1100 incl their freight of $400. It's obvious it had sat for a while but the one photo looked ok. Requested a vid inspection 2 days before auction, no reply phoned day before auction & was told the the melbourne branch was closed by the Brisbane branch which I called. When it arrived it was broken & unusable with the gas guts stripped out as per manufacturer "what's this there's nothing there". The clay pot has big cracks inside & cannot be heated to a high temperature. If you magnify the photos you can see the huge cracks right through the inside. Unuseable.
Here is part of their reply with 3 lies in succession:
We sell at auction as is , so what you see is what you get. The damage around the top was clearly in the photographs supplied in the auction. UNTRUE
We have checked with staff and the warehouse was open and inspections available , video inspection available by appointment so having no border pass would not have been an issue. UNTRUE
The item was as described presented in photos, the damage to the top was there when consigned. UNTRUE
Also it's not even the bRoken top that makes it unuseable, they're very dodgy & plan the photos available etc.
So rude they ignored emails for 2 weeks then tried to fob it off saying it was shown in photos which it wasn't & i didnt attempt an inspection which i did. It's going to court.
Customer service is a disaster
Customer service is a disaster. Both on the phone and in person. I do not recommend
No goods but they have my money
Before I paid for the jewellery I bought I asked if it was sign on delivery as their sending information is not clear on their site. The girl assured me it was sign and if I wasnt home it would go to the post office and if anything happened they were insured. The parcel never came and upon measurements of the parcel size they said it was, it would not have fitted in my letterbox which they insisted it had been put into. I did not get my goods nearly $1000 and they have denied any insurance. So they have my money and I dont have my goods. They dont do as they promise and are untrustworthy.
Couldn’t be happier.
Couldn’t be happier with this place. The friendliest and best service I’ve ever had. Even after paying the premiums, I still walk away with a bargain every time I’ve shopped at lloyds. Specifically the Melbourne branch in this case.
Bid Doubt
My final bid was ahead with 60 minutes remaining.
Lloyds contacted me to advise I was outbid however and asked if there was anything I would like to know. I didn't understand the purpose of the call as i reiterated i was ahead in the bidding. this did not coincide with their record. Perhaps a web delay?
At close of bidding web page indicated i was out bid. The following day I was contacted by Lloyds who advised the previous days higher bidders had pulled out and I could take the price per the closing higher bidder. How does that makes sense?
Can other bidders pull out after winning?
I found this puzzling as for me the assumption would be my final bid stands as the winning bid.
However per the companies T&Cs where a reserve price is not achieved the auction house can approach the bidders to renogiate.
non transparent regarding bidding
We bid on some wine with this company and were the highest bid at close of the auction.
Then, we received an email to say we were outbid and that we did not bid high enough to please the vendor. This requirement was made NOT made clear before the auction.
They are a sham.
DONT BUY JEWELLERY FROM LLOYDS AUCTIONS.
DONT BUY JEWELLERY FROM THEM.
I purchased several Jewellery items from Lloyds Auctions with "Retail Replacement Valuations" attached to the items, This included actual photos of the items but not showing any damage.
After paying over $4000 for a set of earrings and a Diamond ring we found that both items had (CRACKED) diamonds which was never mentioned during the auction and or in their advertising.
When i asked for a refund they flatly denied this because they said the valuations stated they had been treated to enhance the brilliance of the diamonds, Like What !
Stear clear of this company (LLOYDS AUCTIONEERS AND VALUERS) they have no ethics and dont give a damn about the customer.
Dishonest auction house
I want to say don’t buy anything from this Auction house I thought the others were making up stories it is truth they are misleading or deceptive and they have bait advertising that are the most dishonest auction house I have known they overcharged give you certificates of authenticity which I had written and a fake keep away from them they are liars. I have now lodged a complaint with the ACCC with all the evidence and in addition to consumer protection in W.A.
Auction Scam
I made bids on three separate carpets items on this scam auction site. Twenty minutes after the 'auctions' was supposed to have ended I get three emails, all sent at the same time, to inform me I'd been outbid on all the items and to raise my bid before it was too late. My advice would be to steer clear of these bent auctions.
Items they sell are not valuable
Items they sell are not valuable - these "evaluations" are not truth. I spent thousands excited about bargain - then it turned out they sell synthetic and fake staff.
When I called regarding 2nd evaluation issues as I bought thinking its real (they publish fake evaluations - it all turned out to be fake) - staff was abusive and threatening.
I was crying for half an hour after abuse by their Craig staff - all money lost.
Then it appeared there are multiple complaints, but government can't do anything with them as what is bought on auction - you can't check or return.
It's a hole in legislation, which Lloyd uses to sell fake "diamonds", "ruby" etc.
Scam - please, be safe, and not trusting them like I did. Lost thousands.
I through away all the fakes they sold me - it's just traumatic to have them. I normally don't write reviews but I feel I need to warn others.
Lloyds Auctioneers and Valuers Scam
Lloyds Auctioneers and Valuers are complete rip off merchants. the Hidden costs and sales tax they stick on every item you buy is outrageous, even the price of shipping by them is a crazy high. you buy an item and by the time they have added all their bs ON TOP you could buy the item cheaper in a shop. Do not use this site....
Do a search for reviews of this Auction house be amazed just how bad they are
Great customer service thankyou.
I normally won't use online banking but with current situation I have no choice. I was unable to login called for help 2 customer service assistants got me to be able to login very grateful. They were very calm and helpful.
