I recently sent my wax coat to this company for relaxing .I was truely amazed with the result when it was returned to me it just looked like new.
I have had this coat over thirty years and after having it rewaxed I think I will have many more years with it.
This company is family run , something I love to promote.
If you have any wax jacket or coat wanting reproofing this is the company to use.
They are based on Yorkshire.
All the years I have had my coat I never mind going out in the 🌧️☔.

During an exam, my 4 month old Barbour Jacket was mistakenly taken home by someone else. Upon returning it to lost and found, as a king gesture, they dry cleaned the jacket for me.

This stripped the jacket out of most of its protective wax layer

The first thing I did was to contact Barbour's customer service, and the instantly dismissed me and my query, saying my jacket was beyond salvageable as it had been washed.

I was almost going to accept the fact that my GBP 270 jacket was going to be deadweight until I found Mallin and Son.

Ryan was quick to reassure me that my jacket could be saved, and assured me it was not an issue. He even replied to every single one of my queries, and was very patient with my delayed shipping as I was overseas over the easter holidays.

The jacket came back today looking brand new, and i'm so excited for winter for when I can show it off to the world again

I ordered a John Partridge Fish Tale Parka from Mallin and Son to be sent to Portugal. The jacket only took a couple of days to arrive here in Portugal but then got stuck in Customs thanks to Brexit. It took another three weeks for me to eventually receive my jacket. During this time, Mallin and Son were extremely helpful in replying to my emails and facilitating the customs clearance of my jacket. They even took in on them to pay the VAT. The jacket itself is beautifully made and came with a free red beanie. I couldn't praise their service enough.

My 32 year old Barbour jacket was more 'holes' than 'jacket' when Mallin and Son carried out numerous repairs and it came back with a new lease of life.
After this jacket was returned to Mallin and Son for a new zip (some time later), Royal Mail lost it unfortunately. Once again Mallin and Son stepped up and sent me a new, replacement jacket. Fantastic service from this company and I will definitely use them again for any work my jacket requires.

I asked if l could wash my Barbour before l sent it because the cuffs collar and interfacing were grubby the said no they would do this as part of the service. The rewax was very good but it certainly had not been cleaned the collar and interfacing were still dirty the cuffs were still dirty and it was obviously not washed at all because the pockets and cuffs were full of sand. So a real waste of money and my time.

I ordered a t shirt and there was a delay in despatch by a few days but I received a free beanie as a way of apology. Totally unexpected and it’s these type of things that stick in your mind and mean you will use the company again. Cheers

I sent my tired and battle scarred Trench coat for leather trimming , various repairs to linings and leg straps etc
The coat is now better than new , I am delighted , first class quality craftwork and tip top service

Excellent communications via email and phone when I wanted to check which of the repair otions was the right one.
My daughter's wax jacket came back looking like new, with very neat repairs to tears and holes on the sleeves, and a wax re-finish which is better than the original. Exceptional service! Highly recomended. It even came back with a card to say who had done the work: a nice touch.
