I am a Steam user, and UK resident and this is an honest review of my experience & thoughts.
Firstly All negative reviews since January where recently removed bumping this rating from 2* to 4.5* In my opinion this gives people falsified confidence in a firm that would will be helping them with very important legal issues.
My original review of my-
30% commission is industry standard for all platforms.
DLC for steam only when you own the game on steam? also the same for all platforms. This means the attack on Steam is meritless from the very start.
Going after A good company like steam who has supported gamers every step of the way over a company's for example like Amazon or Epic games is diabolical. A Greedy disgrace.
Steam has competition from platforms like-
Epic game stores, Xbox app/game pass, Gog, EA, Ubisoft Connect, Battle.Net, Amazon games, Nintendo, PS store, and many more Plus many other places to buy games.
The reason steam dose so well and is supported by the gamers is due to the fact they are the good guys! They look after the gamers when 90% of the others have done us wrong. Steam has earnt my support and my money as a customer and they look after the games Devs just as much!
Milberg London LLP going after the best standard for gaming is for nothing other than greed and they should be ashamed.

Thank you for your interest in the claim against Valve. We appreciate that not everybody wishes to be included in the class.
In answer to your comments, we understand that Steam is very popular and has a loyal customer base. The purpose of the claim is to establish that the commissions and restrictions imposed on developers are anti-competitive and have caused increased prices for PC games and add-on content. We understand some of these practices may be regarded as “Industry Standard”, such as the 30% commission. However, that does not intrinsically mean the practices should not be subject to the existing competition law. We are hopeful that a successful claim against Valve will result in the payment of compensation to the gamers affected, encourage Valve and similar companies to not engage in anti-competitive conduct, and lead to more competitive prices in the PC games market.
Whilst many people love Steam and its services, we believe strongly in holding large corporations to account for engaging in conduct that ultimately harms consumers.
With regard to your comments on previous reviews, a number of reviews were flagged and removed by Trustpilot following its own review process. It was concluded that many reviews were left by individuals who are not actively represented by us within these UK based proceedings. These reviews were found to be left by individuals who disagreed with the case we are pursuing and the high level of international publicity, rather than a review of any genuine work completed on their behalf. This means they were not genuine reviews of our services and removed.

Hi Pete – thank you for getting in touch with us. Yes, unfortunately the litigation process can be slow-moving. The progress of claims such as this are ultimately subject to the Court process and a range of other factors which can affect the overall duration of the case.
Many of our diesel emissions claims are large and complex cases involving many thousands of claimants. These cases remain ongoing, which means that no clients have yet received a final outcome. Please be assured that we are making progress and believe we will get there in the end. We will continue to update you in our periodic emails on the progress of your claim.
