Sadly it wasn’t quite what I expected. The very few people I actually connected with were weird. Luckily for me I found out before I met them. I also found the platform very annoying and unfriendly to use.

I will not be renewing as I know there are better dating sites.

If you choose to register and pay good luck and be careful!

Many years I signed up for three months and tried to contact several members but no response. No-one contacted me either. Narrowly avoided re-occuring membership. Several years later found my details still listed as a member. In my opinion many of the members listed are those whose membership had expired so pointless trying to contact.

I was recommended the site by a friend who found the love of his life in 5 days.
Mine took a bit longer but I’ve found what I think will be my forever partner. We were both honest and genuine and it’s worked for us both. The picture of the shetland pony started something amazing!!!!

The membership cost is ridiculous. At least, for queer folk.. I get about 20 profiles for the whole of Scotland, and I'm expected to pay £26 for ONE MONTH for the privilege of maybe contacting ONE person I might find cute..

£100 for annual membership? Are you serious?....

AVOID - COMPLETE SCAMMERS!! I turned off my auto renewal after getting messages from a lot of old creeps and a convicted criminal. Muddy matches said I never cancelled and charged me again. Absolute scam and I have reported them to my bank!

It was my first time on a dating site and found them very relaxed and straightforward to use.
I was lucky that I did not have to use it for very long, but felt, I was in control the whole time.
I would recommend

They are quick to sign you up but when you want to change profile picture they won't approve the main picture but will let you and photos (first image is the most important)
Secondly editing your you description is near impossible
The rest of the site works reasonably well but no backup and no correspondence
But hey ho good luck with anyone who they do respond to

Not the easiest to navigate, not a very fluid app. Photos are a chaw to change, upload etc. Can't navigate from someone who's messaged you to their profile for example.

Hate to say it, but tinder has the user experience nailed.

Forget any other dating sites as muddy matches dont have any fake profiles and this actually works,i dated several woman on here before meeting the one. Worth the time and effort and money.You wont be dissapointed. Thanks again Muddy Matches you are the best. xx

Giving up on other dating site , muddy matches was my last try . Within few days got a lady put me as a favourite.
We meet for a long walk and coffee and started dating .
We have now been together for 7 month and having a very happy life living together. Thank to muddy matches

An extremely poor website and even worse customer service. They offer you a discounted price and don’t make it clear that after the initial month you will automatically be charged full price whether you want to continue or not. They are disingenuous and the staff are far from caring

This Site is MUCH better than most dating sites, with genuine people on there.

I have made a good (farmer) friend & another farmer friend from it. (Sadly haven’t met a partner yet, after 2 years. Am 61).

Reason I’ve not given 5* is simply because, as a niche site, the numbers are very small. Many Profiles are non-subscribed or defunct, but this is the case with ALL dating sites: as MM is a specialist site it means the pool is small, but it’s worth persevering.

(Aquaintance at 73 met his partner, though it took a few years).

Dont waste your time on here as they dont have a lot of members and the few they do have are not subscribed so they cant communicate with you only send a wink or add you to favourites.

I Paid for a for a years subscription .It took them a day to authorise my pics and then a second day to inform me my written profile was not approved because i mentioned on my profile that “i had decided to subscribe” which is not allowed apparently! So i asked to cancel my paid subscription on Tuesday and they thought they were entitled to charge me for 2 days despite the fact i subscribed on sunday night and my profile was not yet fully authorised by them.

The fact the felt threatened by me mentioning i was subscribed is proof that that they are a business to avoid!

I found the joining and setup on Muddy Matches really straightforward to do. Once I had an account the way the site works was easy to find people and it felt really safe and secure.
I found my partner after a couple of weeks and we have been together and so happy for the last 6 months.
I would highly recommend this site for outdoors people

I had hoped being a niche site that it might be a bit safer but my very first interaction was with a catfish; when I reported this I was disappointed with the lack of interest. Beware!

I have reported soneone on this website I dated for four years who cheated on me , lied, stole money, employed enmotional abuse however they wouldn’t remove his profile even when I provided evidence.

This site only care about the money not genuine people or women’s safety !

This dating site was suggested by a friend and had never heard of it; using the usual Tinder, POF etc with some success but not serious.
It was easy to set up and just get a feel for the site, you do have to subscribe on order to read, receive and send messages.
You can view who has looked at your profile and get notifications about this.
I think with every dating site you have to be mindful of who you are talking to, therefore it’s always good to message and meet/video chat to ensure they are who they say they are and not mess about with your time.
I have been blessed or extremely lucky to potentially finding my missing jigsaw peace on this site.
Therefore it’s been a great experience for me personally .

Muddy matches is so easy to use and have a good bunch of people on there. I met my almost husband on here 5 years ago after having many failed dates on the likes of tinder and POF. Much like me, he was looking for someone more like minded, likes the outdoors and basically, no BS. We're now 2 weeks away from getting married after a 5 year relationship! The quality of people on here far surpasses the other sites. The customer service team are always on hand and super friendly. Would highly recommend... Good luck

Lots of first messages from guys wanting to move conversation straight off the app which doesn’t feel safe at all. Lots of approaches from REALLY old men, who despite what you set your age criteria at can still message you. Whole thing doesn’t really feel safe at all. Seems full of inactive accounts. Total waste of money.
Should be a nice concept- to connect you with others in the countryside, but the reality is that it is quite sleazy.
