There are alot of farmers using the word looking for dating.This basically means one night stand,their not being honest. Especially farmer from Ludlow aged 51 years old,whom lives with his parents on the family farm. He has been on Muddy Matches for 8 years,so be careful ladies.

the main benefit of the website is that it's focused on the same country minded people with lots in common before you even talk to anyone.

Men heavily outnumber women on all dating sites. Women have the pick of the bunch on dating sites, not men. If men get lucky on dating sites, then they really are very lucky, considering that the percentages are stacked against them. I'm not making wild statements here or letting off steam, I read a dating expert's account of a survey she had made (sorry I can't remember her name) where the number of women on some dating sites was less than 20%, and on one of them it was as low as 9%. And that was in London, not in some rural backwater. Somewhere like London you would think was progressive, actually was not. So imagine that, a dating site where 91% of men are chasing 9% women? If you were a man and realised that the percentages were so uneven would you bother to join, even if it was free and allowing you to use all facilities? I would still hesitate as I value how much time I would put in - and waste - looking on the site. We are rating Muddy Matches here, and while I don't know how this site divides between men and women members, I would bet my bottom dollar that men make up the bulk here too. Despite my search for potential dates and visiting profiles regularly, as well as editing and refreshing my profile, I hardly receive anything in return and during the past 12 months I've only received messages from four women. I'm not a paid member but I used to be, and when I was paying I was hardly fairing any better. It was a waste of money.

When I first signed up with MM it was during the lockdown and had a lovely time chatting to different guys and one or two have remained lovely friends but recently a man messaged me and we chatted then exchanged numbers. He became controlling and even frightening, asking me for money etc and constantly moaning about his life and no job etc etc. I eventually blocked his phone so he proceeded to message me abuse via muddy! And they dd nothing! I reported him but they did nothing at all! Appalling. And I think he has done this to other women. His abuse was terrifying. Shame on you Muddy!

I have been a member of Muddy Matches for seven years, and out of that a paid subscriber for 1 year, and that was in 2019-20. I have only had one woman to date on this site and a few others where I've chatted but got no further. Need I say, that I'm sooo disappointed?
I've read other reviews here stating that they find too few potential dates within their own designated distance which they are willing to travel. I too find that: I live in North Wales and despite it being a rural area and Muddy Matches being geared up chiefly for people who love the outdoors and the countryside, there are very few girls living in North Wales on it. During my seven years on the site, it has always been like this, never changes. Muddy Matches claim, or at least they used to, that they would amongst other things visit country shows and set up a stand. When I asked them a few years ago whether they would be present in the Royal Welsh Show that year - which incidentally is the largest annual agricultural show in the UK now - they said they weren't going, and that they had discontinued visits like this for a while (and it was pre-covid pandemic). So if they had discontinued doing show visits, then why were they still stating on their website that they still did, which was misleading. I haven't checked recently to see if they still state that they visit shows.
I have long lost believing that I will gain from being a paid member of Muddy Matches, it is no more date inducing for me now than viewing pictures in an art gallery. Viewing the women's photos is like that, just a gallery. If I've paid and the women whom I'm interested in are free members, I can't get through to them. So what advantages have I had after paying a membership? For that reason, and until it gets a higher number of North Wales based women, I won't pay to join again.

A very underused site meaning the chances of meeting someone is actually quite low.

Have tried cancelling my subscription to no avail and now carnt even get on site to cancel subscription..No tel number to call.
Have just cancelled DVD through bank as they wont talk to you...

Happy to tell you that I have met and dated three lovely ladies using your web site. Okay, no's 1 & 2 didn't work out but it all ended amicably and no. 3 was all I was looking for and more.
Been together for nearly 4 months now and daily find new things we can share and enjoy.
I have no doubt that we are going to be together for the long term.
So happy to enter a new phase in my life with someone who is willing to share her interests with me and likewise, share mine.

I had only been on the site a week and found my match! The messaging process is simple and clear compared to the other sites I have used. It's easy to complete the profile page. The Muddy versus Townie application rating is really good. My own experience was textbook, I messaged him, he messaged back the following day, then the messages got longer, day 3 we exchanged phone numbers, then chatted for hours for 3 evenings running, then he suggested a day date to meet for coffee, the date lasted all day, we knew there was no doubt about a second date. It's been incredible we have totally and utterly fallen in love with each other. Can I just advise fellow MuddyMatches users, don't always rely on profile photos, some people are not photogenic, my match was a 100% better looking in real life. I'm glad I took a chance.

The site was easy to use and excellent feedback from the site as to who was visiting my profile and messaging me etc. Found my muddy match now so happy , so thanks to this site.

Two years ago after an end of a traumatic relationship I had no intention of finding something serious but wanted to engage with fellow rural / farming / out door individuals. Within a few days matches appeared with those like-minded thinkers. A trusted site, easy to use, excellent matching services. Not long after signing up I found my soul mate with an incredibly similar story to my own. Two years on, one farm now sold, livestock and equipment transported to the other farm and life is the best its been for years. Lots of fun days out, new experiences and plenty of laughs, all thanks to you guys. When I first stumbled across the site everyone laughed at me but it works, simple as that.....exceeded my expectations and restored my faith in romance and believing that your soul mate is out there somewhere.

Disappointed and concerned. Takes a lot of courage to join dating site, and you would like to think they have your back. Not this site. Man messaged me and persisted to even though it was early days, basically 3 days. I even made him aware I would be busy for few days and apologised in advance for this. No he messages very next day asking why not replied!!! Very intense.

I decided to “end” communications with him quite clear this man had “controlling” instinct. I did it politely and did not expect the nasty message back!!! Reported to Muddy Matches Customer services. They in my book could not care!!!! Refunded me fine but they should have removed the gentleman from the site!!!

I genuinely think that Muddy Matches is the best dating site for anyone genuinely looking for love with a special someone who likes the outdoors.

I have used Muddy Matches on 2 occasions now and have met some wonderful people, it feels a lot less overwhelming then the very well known dating sites.

I signed up for muddy matches on 20 th May for 1 month. Whenever I logged on after that date it stated I was a free member which means men can contact me but I can’t contact them. However muddy matches are still taking £25 a month from my credit card!!!! I will reclaim this from my cc company. When I cancelled my subscription a message came up stating my auto renew has been cancelled and your subscription will expire on 1st Jan 1970!!!!! I am very concerned about this site and will see next week if yet another £25 had come off my CC.
