Deputyship - go online not through this company
I went through this company to apply for Deputyship earlier this year, see previous review. I ended up doing it myself online, sending forms back and forth by post was ridiculous. Unfortunately I did this after paying for a service which was long winded, inefficient and unnecessary. I have now been given Deputyship. If you can do it yourself online, this company was a waste of time.

Dear Karl
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and I'm truly sorry to hear that our service fell short of your expectations during what must have been a stressful and demanding time.
Your feedback regarding the postal process is something invaluable to us. You're right to highlight this, and I completely understand your frustration at finding a more straightforward route online after already having paid for our service. Unfortunately, this is simply the process that we offer to our clients which many have benefitted from however we do understand your feelings towards this. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this caused you.
Firstly, I want to congratulate you on successfully obtaining your Deputyship — that is no small achievement, and I'm glad you were able to achieve that outcome.
Your comments will be shared directly with our service delivery team. Feedback like yours is invaluable in helping us identify where our processes need to improve, and we are committed to reviewing how we can make our deputyship service more efficient and genuinely useful for our clients going forward.
If you would like to discuss your experience in more detail, or if there is anything further I can do to address your concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me directly. I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you.

Excellent price
Excellent price. We had a POA done for my mum and my husband and I got one done at around the same time with a special offer. So much cheaper than the other quotes we had. Done over the telephone which was really convenient and easy. Very pleased. Jeff was our consultant and was very helpful. Good customer service easy to get hold of someone if you need to.

Paid in full for three services; a year on, two remain undelivered — and they called it “complete.”
I would urge potential clients to think very carefully before instructing MWQ Estate Planning.
In 2025 my wife and I paid £2,795 in full for a “Full Protection Package” of three services: a Lasting Power of Attorney, an Asset Protection Trust Plus Deed, and Legal Mirror Wills. Over a year later, only the LPOA has been delivered. The Trust and the Wills remain outstanding to this day.
Most concerning of all, MWQ issued us a “Completion of Service” letter stating the work was finished, when in fact two of the three contracted services had never been carried out. I leave others to draw their own conclusions about that.
Throughout, communication was extremely poor. Over twelve months I chased repeatedly by phone, email and text. Promised call-backs did not happen, and clear timelines were never given. When I finally submitted a formal complaint, my email was ignored entirely, and the only response to my follow-up letter was a one-line reply passing the matter to the very person the complaint was about.
We have since escalated the matter to the relevant regulatory and consumer bodies. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this firm.
