Myshowplates Reviews

The website is easy to use and allows a certain amount of customisation of the numberplate. For customisations not shown on the website, you can contact the team and they will prepare a design for you. The team are super easy to deal with. The delivery was quick and the numberplate is of high quality. Awesome service :)

Great looking product and super fast delivery. Sadly I made a mistake but they rectified it for me immediately. Great customer service. Had several plates from here over the years and if I need anymore this is where I will come. Top job

They make great plates but the ArmorAll headlight restorer I bought from them didn't work! Customer services is useless responding with standard fob off emails! Claim that they haven't had a single complaint before, hard to believe!!
Beware other products maybe wrongly described with exaggerated claims and if you find you've wasted your money on a rubbish product, do not expect any help from them!
You have been warned!!!!
However, they do make great plates!

So often with e-commerce traders it's all good as long as nothing goes wrong. However when something does go wrong from my experience many traders just give up and abandon the customer. Not Myshowplates their customer service is absolutely brilliant. Despite me getting my address wrong when placing the order, Hugo at Myshowplates found the issue instantly and kept me informed of progress when my plates were redirected by Royal Mail. Although delayed I got my plates and am very happy.

The speed of making to receiving them.
Took 4 days from start to finish.
Good quality materials used.

I bought plates from these people and they three rear plates have bubbled. On closer inspection, the quality is shockingly bad, they are simply stickers on a backing. I thought they were rubbish when I put them on the car but have to buy and fit replacements from a different supplier now, tedious. MyShowPlates have simply rejected my photos and clear evidence saying that they are not in the warranty period?!? One set is six months old, the other two are between 12 and 18 months old.

When I choose my design . All went through with no problems . Posted as stated tracked delivery all came on time . Great customer care service. Immediate answers to any questions . Highly recommend .

Perfect. 2 days for order, printing and delivery. Shipping for my second order was refunded as they noticed I had 2 orders and shipped them together. Great.

Ordered black/silver pressed plate with mirror polished digits.
What arrived is laughable, and absolute rubbish.
Black plastic with chrome lettering, that must have cost a quid if that to make.
Put it in bin where it belongs!.
Emailed them...dont seem bothered.
Show plates my A#se...more like Sh#t plates!.
Dont waste your time, and money.

I order two lots of plates both illegal and both rubbish quality.
They have fast but terrible customer services.
Unhelpful and a complete rip off.
Do not use !!

I ordered a basic number plate from the myshowplates website.

When the plate arrived, I did not realise it was not road legal until I was told by a family member prior to fitting.

When ordering I clicked on “Standard Plate” thinking this would be the normal road legal format.

Once I was informed my plate was not legal I then checked the FAQ's at the bottom of their website, within here there is a question that states “How do I make my number plates legal” and it confirmed in there for the plate to be legal it has to be marked with a British Standard number - this is 'BS AU 145e, to do this you need to select British standard (Show) from a drop down list to show this, but this was not the default setting. You are also required to space the characters correctly but you must enter a space after the 4th character. This should be done automatically in my opinion or flash up saying it is not legal, not for customers to have to sift through FAQs to make it compliant!

To top all of this the plates arrived with scratches on them and despite sending photos in they will not refund.

I would not recommend or use this company again!

Excellent customer service, ‘righted’ my wrong with no quibble, and went the extra mile with both comms and overall resolution. Thankyou !!

Great product exactly what I asked for simple instructions to follow if I need more show plates for my capri will definitely use them again

Order from myshowplates a few times over the years now. Never fail to deliver OR to get it 100% right everytime. Will defo be returning for the next plates.

Very helpful throughout the process with my custom graphics. A good price and delivered quickly. Highly recommended

Great service. Quick delivery. Very prompt to answer

Ordered plates shorter length, but with Standard size letters to ensure legality.
Plates arrived stamped with BS AU 145e and the postcode JE4 8SH to prove they comply with the law.
MOT tester has failed my car, as the letters they in fact used are not Standard, but are too short, despite them marking the plates with the BS AU 145e as their guarantee of legal compliance.
Owner has refused refund and has refused to give his address, then went to ground and refused to answer any emails at all.
Our solicitor has had to do searches to finally locate him, and is now issuing a Summons against him in the County Court for fraudulent misrepresentation, and is reporting him to Trading Standards.

Easy to use website with lots of options to choose from at a sensible price. Some competitors charge extra for badges, etc and this company doesn't. Reasonable postage charge and very quick economy delivery - ordered Saturday, received Wednesday. Quality looks good.

Just to clarify, this is my 2nd order from this website. 1st one (last year) was good, no issues.

However, with the current order, I feel the product was defective, as the top layer / transparent plastic started coming off. I thought it's a protective layer, but no, it was actually part of the number plate.

After speaking with custom service, they blamed it on the way I drilled, I should've drilled from the front, NOT from the back - which is fair enough ..

However:
1) I never drilled the other plate from the front, and it was fine.
2) I changed a few other number plates in my life, and I've always drilled them from the back and it was also fine.
and finally
3) the dealer from where I got the new bike, also drilled from the back as you can see all the markings.

So this is a STANDARD, if your product requires drilling in any other way, please provide instructions. No instructions were provided.

And customer service refused to replace the product, unless I pay more, which I'm not happy to pay for a defective product, or for their fault for not providing instructions. I don't read minds. if the product should've been fitted any other way, then provide instructions.

Used them for years. Great service.and quality. Just ordered another set on Friday. Got them Monday. Say no more...!
