I completed the Scion Programme and to be honest it was awful. No attempt was made to manage aggressive trainees with mental health issues and the course transformed from job guarantees to "mock interviews". The mock interview itself consisted of two people who really didn't listen to a word and decided to have text chats with other staff members throughout. Don't waste your time with this company as they are not honest.
updated 19/11/25 The issue goes far beyond a poor mock interview or one disruptive trainee. The real problem was the pattern in how concerns were handled.
When problems came from the structure of the programme itself, responsibility was pushed back onto the trainee. After raising concerns about aggressive behaviour in sessions, I was told to stop attending; seemingly because the individual involved was being considered for a job. Nothing about the behaviour was addressed.
The mock interview followed the same pattern. After the job guarantee was quietly removed, it was presented as a genuine development opportunity, yet the interviewers were disengaged and did not respond meaningfully to anything said. When this was questioned, the response shifted into hypotheticals (“how do you know what we were doing?” and "how do you know we weren't going to offer you a job?") instead of having any relevance to what was actually happening or what was being said. This made it clear that the purpose was not constructive engagement but to create a scenario where the trainee and not the programme or it's manageability could be blamed.
Even the suggestion “you should have contacted HR...” fits the same dynamic. It presents the appearance of support whilst relying on hypothetical assumptions that another course of action would have yielded a different result. All of which shift responsibility onto the trainee ("if only you had done something different... etc etc).
My feedback reflects how the programme operated in reality, not how it is marketed.

every just trying to engage with this company has been really hard work and not open to a client
I can’t see how I would ever engage with this company after there lack of communication and professionalism so really don’t understand how they have these reviews
