The Business Select program sounds like a good deal; for $29 first year trial, you get $3 per recycled ink cartridge instead of $2, and free delivery.
Alas, most of the time, they don't properly credit you for your recycled cartridges (yes, I followed the rules EXACTLY). Nearly every month you need to call in and ask for your Depot Dollars (rewards).
Worse yet, the last few orders I've placed have been cancelled 15 days later. If you used Depot Dollars that have since expired, they don't re-credit you that amount.
Say you buy some boxes for $30 on July 20th with Depot Dollars that were expiring on July 31st. On August 5th they cancel the order. You don't get the $30 Depot Dollars back. What a great scam for the company. Your $30 went for nothing.
You can call & ask to fix it, it's like pulling teeth, last time took ONE HOUR before they said they'd take care of it. We'll see, I'd say they are only about 75% on taking care of things they promise.
And now, I have no idea what to actually order, what with every order getting cancelled ... I guess I will need to go in store & buy stuff, but that's not what I wanted to do.
Horrible Experience
Ordered two filing cabinets. Received first cabinet damaged. Called them and they said they would send a replacement cabinet which arrived damaged as well. Meanwhile both cabinets are still sitting in my house waiting for pick up (trucker was a no show) and Office Depot has charged my credit card for the original cabinet and the replacement cabinet. Product is packaged poorly and shouldn't be shipped. Customer service has no clue!!!!

Horrible ethics
Placed a order for items last month were supposed to be delivered on 8-18 spent 2 weeks with customer service and resolution team. A replacement order was supposed to be delivered on 9-2....keep telling me 3rd party shipping can't give info and customer service has no info on corporate phone numbers. How do you become a multi million dollar company when you have no idea about your shipment of packages let alone the lies I've been told the past 3 weeks?
Absolutely Awful Experience
I ordered two identical computers from OfficeDepot.com and was only delivered one computer. I saw that both were marked as delivered on Thursday the 25th last week, and I immediately contacted support. They told me that my shipping date was not until the 26th, and to just wait.
Day 2 - I contacted support again at 5pm on the 26th, and was given the same spiel... wait until the end of the day.
Day 3 - Saturday morning, the 27th, I contacted support again. The rep told me that they would escalate the matter to their resolutions team and that I would be contacted within 24hrs.
Day 4 - No contact.
Day 5 - Monday, the 29th, I still had not received any communication. I contacted support again. They informed me that I had not been sent to the resolutions team, but that they had just escalated my case... you guessed it... please allow 24hrs.
Day 6 - I got an email stating that both computers were delivered on the 25th, and that I SIGNED FOR THEM!!!! The delivery driver didn't even ring my door bell!!!
I contacted support again, who has yet again escalated my case to the resolutions team. I am beyond furious.
To note: The resolutions team sent confirmation of delivery from Western Peaks Logistics. This is where I found out that this shady logistics company marked my computers as signed for. I contacted WPL and was asked my city. I was put on hold, hung up on, repeat 3 times.
No one has been able to tell me which carrier "delivered" my package. I'd call them myself and sort this out.

I went in to Office Depot on 8/28/22 at the Austell location @1:55 pm in search of a Living Will kit but had no idea of exactly what to get. As I was headed to isle 5 where a young lady sent me I saw another worker whom I asked for help. The person was Walter. Not only did he stopped what he was doing, but he walked me to the exact place where the item was located, AND, he also compare two of the kits, suggested the one that suited my needs and explained each to me. When we were done, there was no one at the registers so he came right up and rung my merchandise up. Walter was very patient and helpful. Very pleasant and sincere with his help.

Excellent service from Dillon
While in Loveland at a family member’s home I found a treasure trove of family photos, some of which are over 100 years old. I needed to take them with me but couldn’t carry them on the plane. Overnight expressing them was the only option but I didn’t want to trust them to total strangers who wouldn’t appreciate how valuable these photos are to my family. With limited options, I gritted my teeth and headed for the local Office Depot where I met Dillon. He immediately understood my concerns and helped me wrap our photos in such a way as to prevent them from bending or accidental water damage. Dillon took his time to carefully pack the box and reviewed the shipping options with me to ensure we selected the best option for a safe and timely delivery. The photos arrived on time as promised and in excellent condition. If I was still in Loveland I would stop by to thank Dillon in person but as I am on the other side of the country, this is the best I can do. Dillon, thanks so much for going the extra mile with my package. Your excellent care and customer service mean the world to my family.
Horrible Experience!!
This is the most terrible experience I have ever had! I ordered 2 filing cabinets and they were BOTH defective -- one was badly dropped and the other was so poorly constructed that the drawer will not pull out. I scheduled a return pick up and re-ordered two more cabinets. Two more were delivered but the courier left them downstairs in the lobby ( We are located on the second floor). I opened the packaging, one was defective with a big dent on the face of the cabinet but the other one was ok. I couldn't bring the cabinets up to the second floor because they were too heavy to bring up. I left them in the lobby with notes on the cabinets for the courier to leave the good one and to take the defective one and ALSO to go upstairs to the second floor to pick up the first two defective cabinets. The notes were ignored and on August 4, 2022, the courier took BOTH cabinets from the lobby (one was the good one we instructed NOT to take) and never checked in upstairs as to the other two defective cabinets. Finally on August 8, 2022, the courier came to pick up the first 2 defective cabinets. We confirmed that the courier was the same person who picked up the cabinets on August 4, 2022 - We asked why he did not follow the instructions on our Notes and were told that he could not read English. Now I am told I have to wait 7-10 days for my refund -- THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!! The customer service team was also very incompetent and no one could understand what was going on. Will highly deter anyone and everyone from ordering from Office Depot.

Can’t say I’m surprised by the rating they have on here. I’m so disappointed with them, as I’ve been patronizing this company for yeaaaaarssss! I order to my home and place curbside orders. I recently ran out of ink and I normally get it from here without issue, I should have done curbside, but I opted for the free 1 day shipping. My package was out for delivery from 11 am and claimed to be delivered at 6:35 pm (notified via email of “delivery”) I did not receive anything. I checked at the door, under my mat, under my porch chairs and no signs of ink delivered anywhere. I also rolled my camera back to 6:35 to realize I was outside at that time, and no delivery man came at that time or after. I think it was delivered to the wrong house, or simply not delivered. I double checked my address, everything was perfect. I also looked at the proof of the delivery box and there was no proof of delivery image provided. I don’t know what delivery company they are using, maybe Lasership or a private contractor, but they need to use USPS, UPS, or FEDEX, because who they have it unreliable. I contacted someone via customer service and they were no help and told me to wait longer and give it time to show up. I asked him how could it be delivered when someone else has marked it delivered. Now I’ve got to try to dispute this charge or figure out if someone else from Office Depot will resend my ink, or track it down for me. Either way, order at your own risk.
Inefficient phone system
Awfully long wait time to talk to a customer service at 1-800-721-6592. I've waited up to 45 minutes!!! Today, after I got through to a customer service agent, based outside of the USA, she messed up the rewards number I gave her TWICE even though I read the number SLOWLY to her in groups of two numbers. Her background noise was loud and distracting. She wasn't able to assist me and had to transfer me to another department. Waited 25 mins while some silly tune played repetitively before I was connected. I dread calling Office Depot!!! OD needs to improve its phone system.
On a separate note, a red card containing phone numbers given to me at the Office Depot store listed the "Customer Service Line" as 1-800-GO DEPOT (463-7468). The numerical portion is incorrect. It should be (463-3768).
Appalling service
I bought ink cartridges from Office Depot for my Canon printer. As you never know when a printer will run out of ink exactly, I bought these before the printer ran out. They were XL cartridges so not cheap.
When my printer finally ran out, I put these new cartridges in but my printer did not recognise them. I contacted Office Depot, but you can only send an email. They never responded as I was beyond their return deadline. As their product was obviously not fit for purpose, beyond deadline or not, they should have responded. I will never buy from them again and am telling all friends with home printers not to touch them with a barge pole.

Same day pick up is a joke. The order was placed way before the cut off time and my order was not ready for the same day. When picking up my order the next day, the sales associate told me there was nothing that they can do they were busy on the previous day. No courtesy call, no in store coupons nothing. SAME DAY PICK UP IS A JOKE.

I placed an online order for kerb-side pickup, which worked fine. Turned out that the unit (a monitor) was faulty so I arranged a pickup to return it, which also worked fine. I then spoke to an Office Depot agent who promised that he would confirm the refund process and get back to me the same day. I never heard from him again (a week later), and I have been unable to contact anyone who can help me. I sent multiple emails to his address (Rahul.Pal at officedepot dot com) but they were all unanswered.

Too bad I did not read Trust Pilot before ordering a laptop from Office Depot. There website customer service only works on Easst Coast time so why do they have stords in the Southwest US? Calling this morning after getting an email that delivery was going to be on a day when I was only going to be home a few hours. Finally got out of the automated loop after repeating 8 times that I neede to talk to a Customer Service Rep. When I had a question as tobehether or not the delivery would would require a signature, Donna told me they did not have access to that information. When I asked to be transfered to a superbisor who had access to that info - lo and behold suddenly Donna was able to find out that the item would be delivered today by 10:59 am - we’ll see if thatvis ER or MT? Wonder how the information popped up so fast and why I did not receive a email notification? Have never heard of the delivery carrier T- Force. Am going to look up their number just in case. Thought it was strange they sent me a customer survey so fast. I did not give them them much feedback letting OD know that until I actual received the item and could set it up and see if it is what I ordered I could not answer any other questions. Reading the reviews below has me crossing my fingers
Poor customer service from begining til end (copy center)
First off soon as I get in the copy center there's only one customer and two employees the first employee set there for 5 minutes and never said anything to me or tell me what to do or how to do it cuz I haven't been in here in over 6 months which I was a regular customer when this happened before and started going to Staples but decided to give you another shot soon as I came in after 10 minutes away the next employer that was behind there asked me did I need something and I almost you're bothering me type voice so I explained to her everything I just said I haven't been here and I'm trying to figure out the process I don't know well she sharply explains the process like she's been telling me this so many times and she's tired of it and then once she got done she really didn't tell me anything so I had to literally go up to the front clerk to get all of the information I need so this is the office Depot off of Rio Slidell boulevard in Mesa Arizona off of Broadway and rural I believe this was one of the most unforsaken times of coming to just get $1.55 simple copy I'm never doing it again. I hope you all work on this because she really teach me off it's 110° outside here in Mesa Arizona and I do not need to come into a store to not to be ignored not only ignored talking to him that way

They've lost another customer.
Bought a $450 HP laptop ( on sale from $520) online in May. Turned out to be a lemon. So I returned it at my local store. Well the refund didn't go through right, as the Mgr on-duty, training a new worker, had issues scanning the simple barcodes on the box AND my online purchase receipt. Finally, they hand me a tiny slip that looked like it was printed off an old Dot Matrix. And stated it would be about 7-10 days, instead of the normal 2-3, because the warehouse was now handling returns. Well, after 5 business days, no refund credited. Nor any email follow-up. I called the store, and they stated they couldn't help me, because it was an online issue... So I contacted the HQ support. They too, repeated the 7- 10 days. WHICH obviously had passed. They asked me to "wait" another 5 days. STILL no refund. Called them again, and they said they would 'look into it, and follow up'. It's now been 30 days with no refund. It took me contacting the BBB to get my money refunded. I am so done with them, it ain't funny.
Customer service was never that great…
Customer service was never that great at any Office Depot locations. But recently after the pandemic their customer service is non existent. They are hiring Indians who are very rude and impolite to the customers and most of the time says products are out of stock without even checking first. They have horrible staff training as all the employees at the store could care less about any "service". They are just there to get paid for doing nothing. Amazon will soon squash Office Depot if things go on like the way they are now.

Purchased Brother laser printer online to replace the one that had quit. Printer would not print out of the box, hardware code 01. Not Office Depot fault but trying to return it is. They will not respond to secure messages sent regarding this on their site. Will not answer phone at customer service. Ill probably end up disputing the transaction. Good luck, Im done with them.
AT&T has better customer service
After patiently waiting for 2 weeks to receive furniture purchased from Officedepot, I decided to try to track down my order. After at least an hour on hold this morning, no one ever responded. This afternoon we tried to track down the furniture at the local Office Depot. Richard, the sales associate, did his best to help us to no avail. After sitting in the office furniture section for nearly two hours on hold (and couple from me in the store), we discovered that @Officedepot never shipped the order. The carrier says they never received it and OfficeDepot says it’s been delivered. All in all basically OfficeDepot said they are doing nothing about the situation. If we are still unsatisfied we are welcome to call back and be placed on hold for two more hours. Stay far, far, far away from OfficeDepot
Poor service
I received a call and then a text at 5:57p telling me my order was ready for pickup. I go to pick it up, arriving at 6:03p and find out that they closed at 6p because of Memorial Day. I call the store and ask the guy why they didn't mention that when they called me so I didn't waste a trip. He kept explaining it was Memorial Day without seeming to understand that I understood that - it just would've been nice to be told, considering I'd spoken to them 5 minutes earlier. Good service = them telling me that I could pick my order up the next day, as they closed in a few minutes. Stellar service = them bringing the order to the door when I called to eliminate my needing to make a second trip. This was neither.
