If I could give zero stars I would. The Opodo Prime trial and subsequent auto renew process is outrageous and virtually impossible to cancel. DO NOT USE OPODO or sign up for this TOTAL SCAM PRODUCT.

Hätte ich mal lieber vor Reservierung die Bewertungen gelesen. Habe für 1 Euro einen Flug reserviert, ihn aber nicht gebucht. Der 1 Euro wurde belastet, was auch in Ordnung ist. Jetzt werden mir 13,99 Euro abgebucht und ich habe über KI heraus gefunden, das ich in die Abofalle getreten bin. Mir war absolut nicht bewusst, ein Abo abgeschlossen zu haben. Es geschieht quasi im Hintergrund. Nun bin ich dabei, das Abo zu kündigen ( macht unbedingt Screenshots!) und versuche, über den Kunden-Support mein Geld zurück zu bekommen. Der Support ist sehr sehr schwer zu finden. Klassische Email wird von Opodo übrigens nicht akzeptiert.
Reinste Abzocke, und das obwohl es sogar (lt. KI) bereits ein Gerichtsurteil gibt!

Title: Trapped in auto-enrolment, phone staff lied, bank block active! Tricked by £1.99 to hold flight prices!! Absolutely ridiculous behaviour from Opodo. I was auto-enrolled into a Prime subscription without my permission. Blocked the auto subscription but it still wet through. Tried the chat help... still contuned. I eventually called customer service and they explicitly assured me on the phone that it was fully cancelled and no money would be taken. They also tried to upsell .They are still repeatedly trying to take money out of my account! Worse still, when I log in, the website actively blocks me from deleting my payment card details or closing my account. It completely traps your data.I have already blocked them via my bank's fraud department. Avoid this company at all costs, they do not respect customer cancellations!

Un conseil :surtout ne vous abonnez pas à Opodo Prime .
Le renouvellement de cet abonnement offrant peu d'intérêts est automatique et le pire est que l'on ne peux pas se désabonner tant que l'abonnement est "actif". De plus le numéro fourni pour contacter le site est erroné, d'où impossibilité de se désabonner !!!!

Sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung mit Opodo Prime
Ich war überhaupt nicht damit einverstanden, dass ich plötzlich in einem Prime-Abo gelandet bin. Mir war beim Buchen nicht klar und auch nicht bewusst, dass daraus ein kostenpflichtiges Abo entstehen würde. Erst später habe ich bemerkt, dass regelmäßig Geld für Prime abgebucht werden sollte.
Für mich wirkt das sehr intransparent und so, als würde darauf gesetzt, dass Kunden die Bedingungen übersehen. Ich finde, ein Abo sollte klar und unmissverständlich kommuniziert werden und nicht so, dass man erst im Nachhinein merkt, dass man Mitglied geworden ist.
Ich bin sehr enttäuscht und werde Opodo Prime definitiv nicht weiterempfehlen. Mein Eindruck ist leider, dass hier versucht wird, Kunden mit solchen Abos Geld abzuziehen.

They are just a scam company. Booked a flight once, I'm now a fully paid up member of prime. Never asked for, but they just take money out of your bank account without notice.

Customer services is non existent, canceling is impossible, removing your credit card from their site not remotely possible

In my experience, the Opodo Prime subscription feels like a scam. The subscription charges are hidden, and it's very easy to end up enrolled without clearly realizing it.
If you buy a ticket just once, you may later find yourself being charged for a Prime subscription. Even if you change your card details, they may still try to charge you through your payment provider if they have authorization.
I never intended to subscribe, I haven't used any Prime benefits, yet I was charged. Be very careful before booking with Opodo, and always check whether a Prime subscription has been added. If you notice an unwanted subscription, cancel it immediately and contact your bank if necessary.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I was charged for a Prime subscription that I never selected or agreed to. I contacted customer service the very same day and was assured that I would receive a full refund. Two months later, I am still waiting.

Since then, I have called countless times and spoken with at least 10 different agents in ONE DAY. Every single time, the same thing happens: I am placed on hold supposedly while they process the refund, only for the call to suddenly disconnect. It feels like a deliberate tactic to avoid resolving the issue.

To make matters worse, one of the agents even laughed during the conversation, which was incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful.

I have never experienced such poor customer service in my life. The complete lack of accountability, false promises, and endless runaround have been shocking. This is by far the worst customer experience I have ever had, and I would not recommend this platform to anyone.

I would strongly advise anyone considering Opodo Prime to read the fine print very carefully.

I was unknowingly signed up to a 12-month annual subscription and had no idea I was being charged until I noticed the payments on my bank statement much later. The subscription was not obvious during the booking process, and the recurring charges certainly weren't something I expected.

The biggest frustration came when I tried to cancel. The unsubscribe process is unnecessarily difficult, confusing, and time-consuming. A service should make it just as easy to cancel as it is to sign up, but that was definitely not my experience.

After looking online, I discovered that many other customers have reported similar experiences with unexpected renewals and difficulties cancelling their memberships, which was disappointing to see.

I won't be using Opodo again. Transparent subscriptions and straightforward cancellations should be the standard, not something customers have to fight for.

worst ever expiriecne fro travel! I just booked flight with google fligth suggested to book with opodo and prime was automatically added - almost not possibel to cancel yourself with app, very complicated service and call wait 30 min before indian support member pick up. They just hangup after trying to cancel membership. avoid this service and make sure you releted all your personal data from their system.

They charge an annual fee even if you used them once and then hang up when you call the number on their page to cancel subscription and there are not contact details. Tantamount to theft!

Customer service totally bad because different agents gives different information every times, on the other hand they complicated the process of buying ticket as my is being cancelled by airlines but they give me refund after discounts price where is legal that I would get full amount of money but they use of tricks and take the money from the ticket, eprime also have the same kind of problems, it’s really surprising that both of the compnay of a same platform.

I joined Opodo Prime in good faith..... utter shambles. They have links with known companies, according to my bank based in Cyprus, who carry out fraudulent activities. This was discovered by me when a company tried to take unauthorised money from my bank. So sadly what I thought was a great company is simply not. Avoid at all costs.

I strongly advise people to avoid Opodo Prime. I was charged without being aware I signed up to a Prime Subscription and when I contacted customer service immediately to request a refund, they refused to help.

This feels like a company that relies on customers forgetting they signed up, rather than earning repeat business through good service. The cancellation process is frustrating, the customer support was dismissive, and there was no willingness to resolve the issue fairly, despite the charge being taken unexpectedly.

I will never use Opodo again and will be warning friends and family to stay well away. There are plenty of other travel companies that treat their customers with far more respect. Extremely disappointing.

This first happened to me last year. Opodo charged me £89.99 for a Prime membership that I did not realise was active. I called them, explained the situation, and they cancelled the membership but only refunded half of the payment.

Now, one year later, they have charged me another £89.99. This time, they claimed that I had another Prime membership registered under a different email address. That email address belonged to a company I previously did freelance work for and is no longer an account I use. However, my bank card was apparently still connected to it, so Opodo took another annual membership payment from the same card.

Once again, I contacted them immediately. Once again, they agreed to refund only half.

So, across two years, I have been charged twice for memberships linked to two different email addresses, despite already contacting them about the same issue last year. Instead of investigating properly and refunding the full unauthorised charge, they have kept part of my money on both occasions.

In my experience, the Prime subscription process is not transparent enough, the renewal charges are not communicated clearly, and customer service seems more interested in offering partial refunds than resolving the problem fairly.

A cheap-looking travel ticket is not worth the risk of unexpected £89.99 membership charges appearing months later. Check every email address you may have used with Opodo, check your bank statements, and remove your payment details.

I will now be making formal complaints and considering legal action to recover the remaining money.

Do not use this company. Last year I asked them to cancel my subscription for this year as it was too late to do so then. They agreed to, but have just swiped £89 out of my account and refused to refund it. Their claims to be able to find excellent flight deals are absolute rubbish. This is a scam - do not join up!

Con, awful experience on two separate trips.
First one was trying to get a bike on the same flight.
I then tried to book another trip, because I'd paid for prime. Booking experience wasted hours, was unsuccessful, website failed repeatedly, not cheapest flights, and prices rose during the process.
Now trying to cancel Prime, currently an unsuccessful and painful, timewasting process, AVOID

Do not subscribe to Opodo Prime — getting a full refund is almost impossible

I would strongly advise people to avoid Opodo Prime.

I originally booked a flight to New York through Opodo in 2024 and was later charged for a Prime subscription that I do not remember knowingly agreeing to. When I contacted customer service, I made it very clear that I did not want the subscription or any free trial. I only wanted my money refunded and the membership cancelled.

Despite this, I was only offered a partial refund, with the rest being replaced by a so-called free subscription period that I specifically said I did not want. The agent assured me that my request would be handled, so I believed the issue had been resolved.

However, this year I was charged another £90, even though I had already explained the previous year that I wanted nothing more to do with the subscription.

When I contacted them again, they still refused to provide a full refund. I was told I could either accept approximately 45–50% of my money back or keep the subscription. I repeatedly explained that I did not want the subscription and had no plans to use the service, but they continued to insist that these were my only options.

They also told me I would have to wait up to a week for them to review my previous phone call, even though the situation should already have been recorded on my account. When I accepted the partial-refund option and asked them to cancel the subscription for me, they refused and told me I had to cancel it myself.

They claimed the subscription needed to remain active until the refund was processed to keep my account open, which made no sense because cancelling a subscription does not delete the actual Opodo account.

The entire process has been unnecessarily stressful, time-consuming and frustrating. I should not have to fight repeatedly for my own money after already telling them that I did not consent to continuing the membership.

I do not recommend Opodo Prime. Be extremely careful when booking through this website, as cancelling the subscription and receiving a full refund appears to be deliberately difficult.
