I want to start this review by saying I absolutely adored our relationship expert, and would love to continue to see them individually. He changed a lot of negative experiences and stereotypes for me and I will ALWAYS remember how well he treated us.

Our Ritual on the other hand is something that makes this experience something I wouldn’t wish upon a bitter rival.

After it was decided that my partner and my relationship was irreparable, we both transitioned our couples plan into individual plans (it’s very helpful to navigate the healing process with someone who is aware of your spouse, has interacted with your spouse, and has seen the conflict/ has the context). Within two weeks of seeing this expert individually, my plan was cancelled without notice and when I inquired as to why, was told it was due to the nature of my husband and my relationship being outside of the scope of practice. Fair enough- just wish there was more notice than an email without any offer of a refund.

Approximately a week after this email, I was made aware that my husband’s individual plan was not canceled in the same fashion as mine, and was allowed to continue seeing our former expert. When I reached out to Our Ritual believing it was an oversight and not intentional, I had asked for a full refund of all monies paid to this application, and told that it would be escalated and processed. That was mid-June.

When I reached out to follow up this week (as I had yet to receive the promised refund) I was notified that the account that was refunded was associated with my husband’s individual account and not mine. They then processed a refund only for the “early termination fee” to my account.

When I sent copies of the email from the customer service rep stating that all monies would be refunded, I was told by a supervisor it was a misunderstanding, and that they were happy to refund another month on top of the early termination fee.

While this is a start, to take away a service that is providing guidance and solice to a single mother without notice, promise a full refund, take three weeks to process anything, and then underdeliver on the initial promise under the guise of misunderstanding is unacceptable.

Take your money elsewhere. It’s not worth the added heartbreak and strain to get what was promised.

I’m grateful for the time my former partner and I spent working with Yolanda Meima. She was warm, attentive and created a safe, nonjudgemental environment where honest conversations felt possible, even when discussing difficult topics. I believe the communication skills and self-awareness I gained through our sessions were incredibly valuable. I would highly recommend her to couples seeking a therapist who is compassionate, engaged and skilled at facilitating meaningful conversations.

Working with our ritual has been really game changing for me. The therapy experience is neat because you can move at your own pace, work on your own, as well as work with your therapist. The tools are set up to be used when you need them which I really appreciate. I was nervous at first cause I am in therapy already but this caters to relationship work in a real direct and effective way. This therapy has been game changing.

Helped me cognitively think and try to use my mind as a tool in certain situations to improve so I still got 3 more months but wanted to thank lisa

Love the format, the thoughtful dialogue and the different tracks we can take as things bubble up and we dig further into some root issues.

I love our Expert, shes fantastic & has been helping us. Our biggest issue is support & the Plans. If you are a struggling low incoming couple, be prepared to be on a rollercoaster trying to figure out between switching Plans just so the other can see their Expert if thats all you can afford. Once you go Couple, then back to Individual, do not listen the instructions they give you to do so. If you switch Plans, your partner or whoever isn't the primary account holder for the Plans, everything disappears for the other Partner. They can't see any scheduled sessions, nor see your Expert and the chats.

Update: Issues have been fix, but the process of finally getting to where we needed to be was tough and a long one. I am grateful support never gave up helping us fix our situation. But my opinion on the plans & the whole process still stands. There should be an option, as a couple, that one of us can do a solo sessions if we pay for the solo sessions without needing to switch ownership if someone wants/needs to do their own sessions with their Expert. Hopefully this app can improve, helping those who are struggling & seeking help like my partner & I. If the app can make some changes, we wouldn't have to keep reaching out to support for weeks for help.

Thank you for not giving up on helping us & making things right when we got stressed out. It means a lot to us & if we can keep continuing to afford it we will keep seeing our Expert until we feel comfortable with our relationship.

Fernanda is an angel. My wife and I loved the support she gave us in the calm and compassionate way she gives it. I signed up for Ritual because of the advertised money back guarantee and the promise that I could try the program risk free. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of expectations.

From the beginning, I experienced ongoing issues with the app that prevented me from being fully integrated into the program. A significant portion of my coaching sessions was spent discussing technical problems and troubleshooting rather than receiving meaningful support.

Perhaps most disappointing was the refund process. The money back guarantee was presented as a risk free way to try the service, yet when I requested a refund due to the technical issues and poor experience, I was initially denied and had to spend considerable time advocating for myself before being offered only a partial refund.

While others may have a different experience, mine was frustrating from start to finish. Between the app issues, scheduling problems, limited value from the coaching sessions, and the difficulty obtaining a refund, I would not personally recommend the program.

UPDATE: after writing a review, they ended up giving me a full refund and asked me to update or remove my review.

Our Ritual has been very beneficial in our relationship - going into it I was nervous naturally but with each passing week I feel strong in our relationship and I can’t wait to continue learning about myself and my partner!

I was skeptical of using an app and remote therapy but I couldn't be happier with my experience. Daya is a wonderful relationship councilor!

I published a review of OurRitual several months ago, after months of going back and forth with customer support. I was charged for sessions that my therapist cancelled due to emergency, and OurRitual only agreed to compensate me in session credits if I CONTINUED my subscription and kept paying them. While I do not blame the therapist, it is completely unfair to charge the customer for services that were never received. Furthermore, upon choosing to cancel my plan following this experience, I was charged an additional $200+ termination fee even though I had only been able to attend 6 sessions in THREE MONTHS due to therapist cancellation, inability to schedule due to changing therapists once, and a few weeks where I did not schedule any sessions myself (which I obviously did not ask for compensation for). I have only ever asked for compensation for the sessions that I missed due to OurRitual’s fault. It took months on end of speaking with customer support and only after publishing an honest review of my experience, was I offered a fair resolution.

I was offered a free month and 4 session credits, which seemed fair but in hindsight I never should have accepted. After my therapist again didn’t show up to the second session I had scheduled (due to emergency, not the therapist’s fault), I decided to officially pause my plan for a while through the app as I knew how much of a hassle it would be to go through OurRitual support again to regain that lost credit, and I could not deal with the added stress in my life at the time. Finally, I decided to cancel this subscription with OurRitual as I decided I would not be continuing. Upon trying to do so, I learned that I would be charged $208, for trying to cancel the one month subscription that was given to me for FREE, as compensation. I am writing this review after my card has already been charged, and I have already reached out to support but to no avail.

I don’t write reviews at all, not even for bad experiences, but this has genuinely been the worst customer support throughout any company that I have ever dealt with in my entire life. I have never encountered an issue like this before nor a company so willing to overlook problems on their own end and let the customer take the loss. Emailing customer support agent felt like emailing bots, all responses were cookie-cutter, seemed like they did not even read anything I wrote at all with how much they refused to acknowledge the issues I brought up. I can even defend big corporations, but I cannot defend nor ever recommend OurRitual at this point. If you haven’t had any issues or therapist cancellations yet, consider yourself lucky. Yet the moment you have to speak to support about anything, just keep in mind that they will not have your back or give your case a fair review, even for issues that aren’t your fault.

I am utterly exhausted after dealing with this company, even more so than in the relationship which caused me to start in the first place.
