miss-sold and badly presented
The course is sold to you as you are provided tutors. You are not!! you are sent reading material and this is n expensive form in poorly designed difficult to read and self printable and honestly the A level £15 books are better. There is no follow up, there are no tutors, they sold it to us that there would be assignments and marked for feedback there is not!! it is all do it yourself which is not what I signed up for my son. Additionally when you then try to communicate they just say you’re not a client.
This review is regarding the site oxford college online as I know there are many with similar names.

We must respond clearly, as the statements made here are simply not accurate in relation to our provision.
Oxford College Online does not sell “self-study only” courses without tutor support. All of our full courses include structured tutor access, assignment submission, and marked feedback where applicable to the programme purchased. We do not advertise otherwise, and we do not operate a “materials only” model.
If a genuine enrolled student ever experiences difficulty accessing their tutor or submitting assignments, our customer services team responds promptly and resolves the matter. We are easily contactable by email and through the student portal, and we keep clear records of all active enrolments.
We also strictly adhere to UK consumer law and our published refund policy. Where a student is within the statutory cooling-off period, refunds are processed in accordance with those legal requirements.
As previously stated, we cannot locate any record matching the details in this review. When we say someone is “not a client”, it is because there is no enrolment under the name or information provided. We would never dismiss a genuine student seeking support.
If this reviewer (or their son) is in fact enrolled with us, we invite them to contact us directly with an order reference so we can investigate immediately and resolve any concerns.

Just completed egyptology course and gained my diploma..and very interesting course and would do another course with them ..one thing to say though i had no help with my tutor ,but was able to complete the course ok without ..please note iam a mature student ...

DO NOT USE - The courses are so much out of date it felt like a scam, then when we tried to get help and they didn't respond the next communication was that they put a CCJ against my name, no warning letters, their reply states im awaiting competitor but believe me I am not. Read the other reviews about debt collectors

This review is not from one of our registered students and is entirely false. Oxford College does not and has never issued County Court Judgments (CCJs) against students — doing so without formal warning would in any case be illegal, and no such record exists. All our course materials are reviewed and updated on a rolling two-year cycle to maintain accuracy and relevance. Unfortunately, it appears that this review has been posted by a competitor attempting to discredit our reputation. the review writer has suggested that a person look into the other reviews, clearly done by this same group that are not students with this college, but simply interested in leaving questionable reviews to bring our rating down. In the last 2 months this has been an unreasonable onslaught. It is suspitious that we had such a favourable rating before the last two months. Clearly this is not a reasonable set of reviews.

I got referred by a friend of mine to undertake my A Levels online and it's been quite a journey, the best aspects is the self learning which is done at your own time, especially in my case which I taking care of my 6 month old baby, I have now applied to take the exams in May/June 2026 and also received my predicted grades which is an excellent service !! They add it directly to your UCAS application, hopefully my exams go well !! Fully recommend

I honestly did not expect that self study courses was going to suit me (i work full time) but since i enrolled in early June, it has been perfect for me as i get to study at my own time and submit work at whatever time i wish, recommend !

I noticed there was a review in 2020…
I noticed there was a review in 2020 about the content of courses provided, but still no changes now in 2025. Doesn’t matter if Oxford is on the name, the PDF files to simply read and write an assignment is not engaging and adequate for learning. Also there’s no grace period, ONCE YOU PAY you will not receive your full refund. They will never point that out and not on the website. There’s always someone which the schools account telling people they never attended instead of resolving issues.

Thank you for your comment. For clarity, we must note that L Joseph is not, and has never been, a registered student of Oxford College. This is the third occasion that such a review has been attempted, and each time it has been removed as inaccurate.
At Oxford College, we adhere strictly to the legal requirements surrounding course provision, student protection, and returns. Refunds and cancellations are always handled in line with consumer law, and full information is available to all learners before enrolment.
In terms of course quality, all of our courses are fully updated every two years, as required by the awarding and examination boards with whom we work. Each course clearly carries the relevant copyright and version stamp to confirm this.
We welcome fair, constructive feedback from our genuine students, which helps us maintain high standards of teaching and learning. However, repeated attempts at posting false reviews are a form of sabotage that do not reflect the real student experience with us.
We wish you well in your own educational journey, but kindly ask that these inaccurate and misleading reviews cease.
I would not recommend- admin terrible
I would not recommend- I have spoken 5 times over a week to different people on the phone and been promised that someone who could help me with my sons enrolment would call me back - I also emailed and again no response. I have now changed to another provider whose enrolment process is very straight forward and they have very good reviews -a lucky escape I think
Edit -I was trying to enrol my son -I did speak to five different people as they clearly had different voices -I left my details each time and they read them back to me -I have had no reply when I left my email address with the First Gentleman I spoke to over a week ago -I suggest instead of blaming an alternative company for your bad reviews (which in my case is absolutely not -I am just someone who was hoping to use your services)that you listen to the reviews and address the issues that need attention

We work exclusively with adult learners, as required by law, so we would not be corresponding with parents of students.
All emails are addressed daily in line with our contractual obligations.
It is disappointing to see another one-star review appearing as part of a clear pattern leading up to September. This resembles the activity of a competitor rather than genuine student feedback.

All enrolments are handled through a centralised system and a small, dedicated team—there are not multiple “different people” in different offices.
Every enquiry submitted with contact details is logged and responded to, usually within 24 hours. We can confirm we have no record of your details being submitted.
We take genuine feedback seriously, but in this case the circumstances described do not align with our processes or legal remit. I urge anybody looking to study to do it yourself via free online resources - what Oxford Learning College offers is not worth it, to say the least. The costs are very expensive despite what you are given, which is a single PDF that is seemingly out of date for each course. If you want predicted grades or papers marking, it is a hefty fee to do so. Somewhat understandable if you weren’t already paying so much for the course. The prices for this I ultimately understood and even accepted - in self learning, such things don’t come cheap.
If you want to cancel your course, you have to do so in the first fourteen days, which is often not enough time to make an opinion. If you decide in those two weeks you’d like to cancel, there is a £50 cancellation fee. If you’d like to cancel after those two weeks, you’re in no such luck as they demand that you pay the full course price.
There are access to tutors via an old messaging system, and it’s up to the tutors when they want to respond. I haven’t had much experience contacting said tutors, so I can’t leave a positive or negative review in that regard.
The website itself is old - the news section on the online campus itself hasn’t been updated since 2024, and it is extremely difficult to navigate.
In all, I highly recommend not signing up with this college. If you do decide to sign up with them, I can only hope that you have thought it through thoroughly and that you don’t have as negative an experience as I have.
Edit: I am not sure why they have said I am not a student at the college, when I officially am. I confirmed several times on TrustPilot that this was indeed the correct place I was reviewing.

This gives us the idea that you might not be, and could possibly, just be leaving reviews to move the ratings down as a competitor. Either way, if you get in touch with the customer services we will try to help you out. The news area is updated a few times a week so I am not sure you are looking in the right place and we don't offer subscriptions. Are you sure you are commenting on the right college as we have been open for over 20 years and have an overwhelmingly possitive reputation. Oddly enough, one of the questionable reviews who are also not registered at our college said we do not have a 'cooling off' period, so, I am glad in your review that you contracdicted that with the truth of the legal 14 days. So, if you would like any help, please let us know, but we think you are probably just a competitor as usual. Good luck going forward, HONESTLY
£400 for a PDF
£400 for a PDF. If you miss a payment they chase you for the course fee in full and then threaten you with a debt collector if you can't pay it. The course "material" you are given is the entirety of a year at college compressed into an ill-written and poorly structured PDF file. Save yourself the hassle AND money, and buy a textbook from amazon instead.

Do not sign up for this college they…
Do not sign up for this college they have no interest in helping you complete your studies once they have your money you are on your own. I contacted my tutor and I was ridiculed for asking what I thought was a simple query after ten message exchanges I was told she did not want me as a student and she was going to have me reassigned to another tutor as she did not feel I had the level of education she was used to dealing with. They had a very different attitude before I paid them the £1295 fee.

I took A Level History through Oxford Learning and my Tutor, Ben Williams was great! He was supportive and provided really useful comments on my essays which I then used in my exams. He was great when I was stressing about the Dissertation as well.

Studying at Oxford Learning College has been an incredible experience, particularly because of the flexibility it offers. The "study at your own pace" model was exactly what I needed to balance my education with my busy schedule. I enjoyed studying the material and the tutor was alaways available whenever I had questions or needed clarification on complex topics. Recommended!

I recommend noone uses Oxford Learning. I have a long term progressive brain condition that occasionally causes psychosis, during an episode I sign up for A-Level courses, I'm in my 30s and hage absolutely no recollection of it. When emailing and explaining like my carer told me to do I was to mentally and physically ill to do education they would not cancel my courses and only give me the option to swap over to other courses and will charge me an additional 85 to do so, even though I'm far too poorly to do them. I am now paying nearly 100 pound a month even though I'm already struggling financially for three a level courses that I am not doing and cannot remember signing up for. They do not care about people, be careful.
