Truly reconditioned? - Thanks for the clarification
Trying to figure out what the term reconditioned means. I bought
a "reconditioned" Invacare 5LX. I had used an Invacare Platinum 10 prior to this that had a door on the side that contained a HEPA filter. The five LX did not so I took the top off to see if it had one inside which it did. The only thing is the entire interior of the machine was filthy, obviously never having been cleaned. Machine was dated 2000. The beds were rated 2010. The hepa filter was dirty. The only reconditioning I could see was the exterior of the machine was wiped down and the large particle filter on each side had been cleaned.
The machine does work well.

Just for some clarification, despite what dates might be on the internal components from previous repairs throughout a machines life, please rest assured that each and every machine we service has all components serviced and rebuilt as outlined on our website! To the untrained eye it may seem certain components are not reconditioned, because all the wearable items, and replaceable media is actually inside the components (zeolite in the sieve beds, gaskets and bearings in the motor, seals in the 4 way valve etc) and cannot be seen until you disassemble the components. Almost like changing the oil in your car. Your engine might have some dust on it because its a used engine, but the oil is fresh but you can't see it unless you drain it back out. Each machine also receives all new filters, that is the most basic step of the rebuild process. It is 100% common for the filters to accumulate dirt in them from the testing each machine undergoes during its testing. In one year when you change that filter you will be very surprised how dirty that filter will become. This is good though, because the filter is doing its job! We also take pride in cleaning and disinfecting the units we service as well. Some machines do clean up better than others, but they all undergo the same process!

The people of this company went far beyond the call. In a warehouse where no one but themselves would know what they are doing. It didn't matter. They rushed to help someone in need without hesitation, without wanting anything, without worrying that they would be home a little later. Hell yes. Beauty rises from special times. What a glorious beauty they shared with me.

We are sorry for the delay! We have been very open with our communications on this order. Since you ordered a new machine, it is subject to any manufacturer delays. I am sure you have heard of the Coronavirus and the delays it has caused in not only finished goods, but also items on a component level. This has caused abnormal delays in almost ALL new oxygen concentrators. Including your Devilbiss 10LPM machine. We have given you the proposed ship date from the manufacturer, to which your reply was "ok". We have heard of no changes since then.
Again, we apologize for the delay, but this is completely out of our control. Just bad luck that the unit you purchased is on a country wide backorder until China opens it's supply lines after this virus is contained.

Communicated with team and was able to get service for my concerns.

The machine will only go to 4.5ml. the alarm does not sound. It is making a funny noise after just a couple weeks. When I called customer service he said the alarm was not important and if it doesn't sound after a couple more uses call back.

I am sorry to hear of these troubles! A very common occurrence with some concentrators, is if you set them at a desired LPM setting and then hook up your tubing, humidifiers etc, it can cause backpressure on the flow meter which will make it drop a little. Removing the tubing will show it going back up to the desired setting! :-)
If your alarm is not working, it can be a 9 volt battery that came loose in shipping. We never said the alarm was not important, because it certainly is! However, we said that the alarm is used to alert you when the unit is bot functioning, ie: a power failure.

Thank you for the review! Had we known you wanted a machine with more pressure, we might have recommended a 5LPM unit like the DeVilbiss 525 with 9PSI output pressure or possibly a high flow machine like the Airsep Intensity Dual Flow that features two flow meters, 8LPM and 22PSI!

Placed order on 12/18. rcvd ack. on 12/19 rcvd message stating due holiday schedule NO. shipments until after 1/6 due closure. Tben got msg stating Fedex issued pckup order on 12/18 for pickup on 12/27 for est delivery on 12/30. Fedex had no record of pickup until I caled on 12/30 afternoon & foud closed until 1/6. Left uncomplimentary mesage about "service". Two hoirs later Fedex said just picked up machine est del 1/2. Arrived!!! Well packaged. Clean. Works. Lousy customer interface (auto computer input???)

Hello sir, and we are sorry to see this review. We wish you would have contacted us so we could explain the situation. Our website, and all subsequent follow up emails to our customers made it pretty clear that any orders placed during this time would be delayed past our 3-5 day lead time, since FedEx shipping delays were a big problem this year, and also because we would be closed for the holidays. We did not hold any punches there, and I am sorry you never saw any of those notices. With that being said, we did not want our customers to wait too long for their orders, and we actually came in during our vacation to process some orders, yours included. For a package to be received 4 days before it was even supposed to ship, I think would be pretty good customer service and warrant more than a 2 star review. In the end, we are happy that you got your machine, and seem happy with it.
