Very disappointing experience with ParcelDirect

I used ParcelDirect to send a very important original document via FedEx.

Unfortunately, the shipment went missing in transit. After an investigation, FedEx confirmed that they could not locate the parcel and advised me to go through ParcelDirect, as the booking was made with them, to proceed with the claim.

ParcelDirect informed me that documents are non compensable and that they could only claim the shipping fees. I accepted this and simply asked to proceed with whatever claim was available.

Since then, I have been waiting for ParcelDirect to respond and progress the claim.

I understand that ParcelDirect did not physically lose the shipment and that FedEx was the courier. What I am disappointed with is the lack of follow up and support after something went seriously wrong. When a customer loses an important original document, good communication and assistance with the claim process are extremely important.

A very frustrating experience, particularly given the importance of what was lost.

Horrendous - booked a return service to Amazon and PD failed to pass on the necessary customs docs to their courier so it got held in customs until it was supposed to be returned to me, but they sent it to the dispatch location not my address and it’s lost but no ability to claim on the insurance because they’re refusing to provide the details to allow me to claim.

Avoid at all costs

If I could give a rating of zero stars then I think it would be more appropriate.
The parcel was returned to me stating the address was incorrect....it wasn't, I got An Post to deliver it within days of getting it back ( without changing the address ).
I am still waiting 4 months later for a refund.
Their phone numbers have never been answered and I have had two replies to my emails ...without a satisfactory conclusion.

In 3 negative Trustipots revievs i left for Parceldirect,they asked me to contact them to sort the issue.
I did contact them sevareal times with no response. THIS ISSUE IS GOING SINCE APRIL 2024 BECAUSE THEY LOST MY PACKAGE. STILL DIDNT RECEIVE A REFUND

SCAMMERS. I made a return for a pair of shoes to the UK using this company and paid around €17 as delivery fee.
One month later, they sent me an email that there's an additional fee of €25.11 that has been passed on to me as import duties & tax
When I asked about how this tax has been calculated, they came back to me stating that it was a mistake but instead it was a return shipment fee without providing any plausible documentation.
I eventually being charged for that fee which in the end the shipping fee has cost me more than the product itself. Just avoid dealing with them as you'll end up with extra charges as they hide behind the terms and conditions that the customer is liable to the costs relating to their shipment.

They partnered with UPS to deliver a parcel to Spain. I clearly stated the contents of the package and used the FRAGILE tape on the box.
The parcel arrived within a week and a half to the destination but in a completely different box and missing many items because they had been broken during transit and they decided to dispose of them without even contacting me first.
I reached out to parceldirect.ie being the first email on March 24 and the last on June 26 from my end to them. I even filled in the UPS form they provided, for nothing it seems, just a waste of my time. No response whatsoever from their end. They left me on Read, no compensation, no items and no resolution. Definitely no respect for their customers either.
Shameful.

If I could give them no stars I would , worst company ever . Still don't know where my parcels are a month later. Delivered to the wrong places and not rectified .

I placed the order to be collected from my house and it was expected to collect on 20th July. No sign on that date. I rang their Cork office on 21st on their number 021-2399548. Staff told me that the parcel would be collected in two to two and a half hours. Waited and waited, no show!
Rang Cork office 5 times today (22nd). Nobody picked up the phone!!
No email updates, no sms updates, not answering phone calls... what a service is this???

Update: 24/07/2026: Still no show. On 22nd, I made 10 calls, all unanswered. Yesterday (23rd), 7 calls, unanswered. Today, 24th, rang again, no answer. Not going to ring them again. What I can say is, my money is lost!!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!

Be very careful with this company. After successfully shipping my parcels they came back 6 weeks later looking for €17 per box, stating the box was outside the specification, even though they admitted it was inside the specification later on, they still tried to take money off my card but it was a frozen burner card.
Avoid this crowd. Only use a burner card that can be frozen if you must deal with them.
I even tried emailing the boss of the company, they couldn't care less, didn't reply. I was spending a few hundred euro per month, still not interested.
Be safe just avoid them.

I ordered a pick up service and I have been 2 days waiting for collection. They are a useless waste of space. They are definitely running a scam.
Keep away from them

You can tell a whole lot about a company and their employees by how the react to a problem. I only recently used this company and being unfamiliar with the system for FedEx. I thought I had to deliver it, so i drove around Sligo looking for FedEx sure they had an office here, maybe the post office, after several visits to competitor decided to call the company, they sorted it, drove home and 20 minutes later the pick up guy was at my door. So 5 out of 5 for being calm organised and helpful and not a single gripe. Yes I would use again, yes I recommend, yes they genuinely save you money, less than half of what I was quoted at UPS. I went with FedEx because the offered a faster service for a few euro more.

Stay away my package wasn't collected then I asked for an refund which was 29 days ago. They won't answer my emails or my calls gangsters don't bother with them very disappointing to be out of pocket

I ordered a pick up for a return 4 times they scheduled collection weeks apart and never turned up. I got fobbed of with stupid excuses then the deadline for my return was missed so I couldn't get my refund in the end!!!! I ended up with an item that was useless and out of pocket for my parcel collection as they never refund me the money. They are a useless waste of space, Absolute cowboys who are definitely running a scam!!!! DO NOT USE THEM 🛑🛑🛑🛑

Useless, the courier failed to collect the item. I contacted them twice to refund and they have not replied or refunded. Stay away from them and go to the courier direct.

Avoid this company at all costs. My package wasnt picked on the date I booked. Could not contact the office or a person to deal with. Tried cancelling my order as it took too long, eventually it was cancelled however I am now waiting for a refund since 27th of May. Avoid, an absolute shambles of a company.

Drop off locally was so easy. Parcel arrived in a very short time. Excellent Service

Parcel Direct are easy to access, provide great cover for shipping globally, has competitive pricing, the support service is prompt, and if you ever have a problem, you can talk to a real live person at the other end of a phone.

Can you give zero stars? Never came to collect package (when I contacted courier directly they said they had never even they received an order) then ignored my request for refund. AVOID

Parcel direct absolutely a nightmare to deal with. UPS have confirmed a refund was made to Parcel direct on 2nd of may on my behalf. I have sent 6 emails concerning an update all have been ignored. They have my refund and no email to me to confirm this. THIS IS NOT EXCEPTABLE
