UPDATE - Terri from Dundee saved the day. She co ordinated with me all day yesterday to ensure I was sorted for moving into my new house ** amazing service from the company regarding the issues.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Pay Weekly Carpets.

I ordered two different carpet colours for two bedrooms: a darker carpet for my son's bedroom and a lighter carpet for my main bedroom. I explained to the sales agent in person that I am colour blind, and my partner helped me choose the colours over text to ensure we selected the correct ones.

The fitting appointment was already stressful. I took a full day off work and waited between 8am and 6pm, only to receive a call saying the fitters couldn't attend as planned. I explained that I needed the carpets fitted that day because I am moving into the property on Friday and couldn't wait any longer.

The fitters eventually arrived and immediately started laying the carpets without asking which carpet belonged in which room. I assumed they had the correct information from the order.

At around 5pm, I was told the work was complete and asked to sign the completion form. I signed it before fully inspecting both rooms. When I checked the installation and sent pictures to my partner, we discovered that the carpets had been fitted in the wrong bedrooms. The lighter carpet intended for my main bedroom had been laid in my son's room, and the darker carpet had been laid in my main bedroom.

Regarding the beading, the fitters did inform me that it would need to be removed. However, this had not been explained to me by the sales representative beforehand, and I was left with a visible gap between the flooring and the skirting in my son's bedroom. I would have appreciated this being made clear when I placed my order so I knew what to expect.

When I called downstairs to say the laying itself looked good, the fitters left before I could even finish speaking, leaving me with no opportunity to discuss the problems with them.

What makes this particularly frustrating is that I explained my colour blindness to the sales agent, relied on my partner to help select the colours, took a day off work, and made it clear that everything needed to be completed before my move.

I am willing to keep the carpet in my son's bedroom for convenience, but the carpet in my main bedroom needs to be rectified. I also want the issue with the gap left by removing the beading addressed appropriately.

**The incorrect installation, lack of communication and overall handling of the appointment have been extremely disappointing.** I now have the added stress of trying to get these issues resolved just days before moving into my home.

I hope Pay Weekly Carpets takes my complaint seriously and resolves these issues promptly and at no additional cost to me. I will update this review once the matter has been resolved.

Would like to note the lady at the Dundee’s depo was very helpful regarding the issue with the fitters advising they weren’t attending, she ensured me they would attend and they did, such a shame they rushed the job and left without showing me the full work and asking if everything was okay.

Absolute shambles and carpet still isn't complete after months. Can't fault the fitter but I just seem to keep having problems after problems. Will definitely not use again.

Peter was lovely! He came out to measure, I picked my carpets and put a deposit down. He explained how it all works, emailed all documents for me to read through and said I’d have a text with a fitting date. I had a fitting date that night for 4 weeks later. Today peter came to fit the carpet in my bedroom and stairs & landing and he’s done an amazing job! I’m absolutely made up with it and so is my hard to please partner😂 he was polite, professional and quick! Will definitely be a returning customer :) thank you!

Staff very helpful from the beginning, had plenty of notice of fitting date and the carpet fitter rang me with an ETA early on in the day which gave me chance to do what I needed before he arrived

The flooring is amazing and the fitter was very efficient and cleaned up after himself and had the job done fast but well
