So, bought a two station rack, was attracted to the 100% metal construction, whereas all the mainstream ones are plastic and soft alloy.
Seems well made but the two new Synchgo monkey bikes that I sent drawings of along with measurements and which weigh 25 kilos each are a challenge for the rack. Pendle say it carry’s 70 kilos max.
The uprights are not long enough for the cross bars and I am bothered by the bends in the two tubes that look like they will fold and fail. I have removed the battery packs to reduce the weight below 25 kilos, and moved everything in as close to the boot as able. At present I am not confident about the tubes.
Also, when fitting modern EU type approved tow bars with vehicle specific electrics the car fog light is deleted when plugged in, Be aware Pendle don’t fit a fog light or make wiring provision. The lights are low cost Maypole units.
I did call but was told the no one else fits fog lights and it’s never been a problem……until your on the M6 in thick fog that is.

They identified the right part from my photo and it is quite an old rack that I have. It has served me well.

I have actually already done this so it’s disappointing to have it again.
You were very helpful but the costs are definitely higher in real terms and it’s a little annoying having to buy five straps rather than the two I needed.
On a very positive note it is really good that after sales support is available and your staff are really helpful.

The Pendle bike rack is very well made - an impressive bit of kit. The low score is because we were disappointed that our E-bikes didn't fit. The motor is low and central and when bang up against the upright part of the carrier frame the wheels are not close enough to fit into the wheel slots. Pendle are dealing with pick up and refund. Carrier would be fine if the frame was narrower.

Generally 5 star but website wording and imagery led to a misunderstanding. All cleared up quickly and satisfactorily. Been using their products for years and would definitely recommend

The bike rack its self is brilliant sold my Thule straight away. Couldnt be happier and its British so spares are easy to get also quality is amazing im so happy.

Great product. Fast delivery. Disappointed to be charged postage. The rack was advertised as free postage, so presumably the postage charge was for shipping the QR adapter that was ordered and delivered with the rack.

Brilliant that they sell legacy replacement parts for bike racks.
