A great range of spares
Poles & Blinds have a great range of spares for curtain tracks, clearly illustrated and with dimensions described so you know you've found the right one. We bought runners for an Integra track to replace the originals which had gone brittle with sunlight. Straightforward online shopping, and delivered when they predicted.

I ordered a number of curtain rails. Due to where the rails were being delivered to I expected a delay. After a few days I contacted the company. The speed and manner they dealt with my query was excellent. When the rails arrived one might not be suitable and I put a question to the company. They confirmed that the rail was not suitable but suggested an alternative. When I asked if I could substitute one of the components they said that wouldn’t work and suggested a second alternative. Special mention to Kerry for her help and patience.

Track not substantial enough for 8kg weight of curtains
The customer service person was incredibly helpful. However, the pole is not fit for purpose, as soon as the curtains were hung from the wall fixings it fell down. The screws and raw plugs were purchased as heavy load bearing and were the correct for the brick wall. Very disappointed the in Gliss ultra track. Now looking for a better solution.

We're sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with your installation, although we're pleased that our customer service team was able to assist you.
The product purchased was the Silent Gliss 1280 metal curtain track, a premium-grade system that is rated to support curtain weights of up to 14kg when correctly installed. As stated on our website, screws and wall plugs are not supplied, as the appropriate fixing method will vary depending on the wall construction and surface being fitted into.
From your description, the wall fixings appear to have failed rather than the track itself. Whilst we appreciate how frustrating this must have been, the failure of the fixings would not indicate that the Silent Gliss 1280 track is unsuitable or unfit for purpose. The 1280 system is one of the most respected and widely used curtain tracks available and is regularly used to support curtain weights well in excess of 8kg.
We would be happy to review any photographs or installation details if you would like us to help identify what may have caused the fixing failure and advise on a suitable solution.
