don't have 0 star , I gave notice to leave this property because of ongoing issues that were not properly addressed. I repeatedly reported water leaking from the kitchen ceiling and walls. I also raised concerns about another tenant who was staying at the property and whom I believe took some of my belongings.

When I reported these issues, I felt that my concerns were ignored and not taken seriously. Instead of investigating the problems, management appeared to support the other tenant and dismissed my complaints.

My experience was disappointing, and I do not feel I was treated fairly as a tenant. 0 star

I wanted to say that i recently left a property i rented from Progressive Lets. My Landlord i had was excellent and very helpful in my 7 year stay.
The agents at Progressive Lets are great and very professional people 👏 😀

Up until recently I would have given this company a good rating but due to a severe lack of communication regarding the new Renter’s Rights Act I have now lost a huge amount of money thanks to Progressive Lets.

I’m in the process of moving home and had to discover on May 1st, the day the act took effect, that this company now requires a 2 month notice period when moving even though I planned to move at the end of the month. Not even 2 weeks prior to writing this I received an email reminding me to remember to “hand in my 1 month notice when i’m ready” with no mention of this upcoming and very costly change which has now left me in a £800+ hole as i’m being forced to pay an extra month for an empty flat.

I tried to explain my situation and ask for a shorter 1-month notice period (which official government documentation states may be agreed upon) but was met with rude and blunt emails stating that Progressive Lets has ticked their legal box by sending a PDF in March which briefly mentions this change. Since then there has been no communications regarding this major change to their Ts & Cs.

I had foolishly hoped this company was different and would work with me to work out a plan that wouldn’t ruin my life but don’t be fooled, you’re still just a number on a spreadsheet to these people.

Please avoid this company at all costs if you’re expecting to find people who have your best interests as a tenant at heart. I really hope nobody has to go through this frustrating and heartbreaking experience in the future and I hope this company gets a lot better at notifying its tenants of major changes which could cost them to lose hundreds of pounds.

UPDATE: Instead of trying to find a resolution I get a heartless copy and paste response ignoring most of the points I made and reaffirming my stance on this company doing the bare minimum. Also apparently losing hundreds of pounds is now just deemed “inconvenient”. Avoid at all costs for your own sake if you’re reading this. Wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy.

As a tenant of over 10 years, I am appalled by the recent treatment from Progressive Lets, specifically regarding basic safety and habitability.

- We have been without heating and hot water in February with two young children. Despite the boiler failing days ago, the agency has failed to provide any temporary heating, leaving my home at 16°C.

- Furthermore, several windows do not close or lock, posing a serious security and health risk. When raised, the Operations Manager (Stephanie) dismissively described these legal requirements as the 'landlord’s prerogative' and initially denied the windows were insecure. It was only once I involved Peterborough Council’s Housing Standards team that the agency suddenly acknowledged the faults.

- They even attempted to discourage me from contacting the Council, claiming it 'wouldn't speed up the process.' This is a clear case of putting a landlord's costs above a family’s safety. After a decade of loyalty, being treated with such negligence is unacceptable. Avoid if you expect professional or compassionate property management.
