The Protyre staff in Britannia Rd., Ipswich are just so reliable and trustworthy. They discuss my annual visit MOT etc and explain everything to me, why and costs. My 15 year old diesel car comes away purring, still going strong. I'm going to run it as long as I can because replacing a car just because it's a non PC diesel in terms of environmentalism. The environment cost of replacing it just to look environmental friendly would cost a lot more to our planet in energy, use of materials than running it into the ground.

The technician replaced the tyres and tried to align the steering but due to a defective track rod he couldn't do it. After a conversation,it was agreed that I would be contacted next Monday for an estimate for the necessary repairs or a refund of the alignment in case I refused the estimate . I wasn't contacted , I had to chase them for the estimate, then I didn't agree with it and asked for the refund which I was told that I would receive it until Tuesday of next week. Nothing happened. I won't use them anymore.

I took a wheel and tyre in with a screw embedded in it and the crew told me to come back in about an hour and it would be plugged.
On the downside , when I came back to collect it I had hoped that they would refit the wheel as I cannot accurately gauge the torque when I refitted the wheel at home (plus it was heavy)

Battery replacement done quickly. Just think that workers should have knowledge about start/stop types as they can be tricky if installed wrong way, thanks

Service was prompt, punctual and competitively priced.
Fitting had been booked a few days earlier and tires were ready and waiting to go on my car. The fitters got to work shortly after I arrived and when completed wheel nuts were carefully torqued.

Overall service not bad, however, customer service was extremely poor. Very little explanation to questions asked and very little patience with customers.

I’m not entirely convinced I received the service I paid for as brakes still feel exactly the same after brake fluid change?

My first time at this Protyre location. Everything was done right. The car was taken in to be worked on straight away, the staff were very professional and efficient. I was shown my tyre wear and tracking details and given the option of whether I wanted my my tracking done at the same time (which I did as it was out of line). Very happy with the service I received. I would happily use them again.

Ease of dropping off and leaving car accessible after closing to collect. Car left clean. Only reason not given 5 stars is whoever called me to confirm was very abrupt and told me I'd have to be earlier than the booking time

Got in the same day for an air con refill. Booked online and got a discount too! Handy as it was local to me.
Very professional and helpful. Air con in the waiting room too which was great as it was a hot day. Would recommend. Thanks!
