READ ALL - PureGym staff getting fake positive review
PureGym staff must be working overtime getting their mates to drop five-star reviews. Nine in a few days? Bit obvious what’s going on there.
I’ve been at Holloway for 8 years—back around 2020 it was actually a solid gym. Good vibes, friendly staff, people actually cared. Now it’s gone downhill.
Some PTs (not all) seem more interested in taking money than helping. General manager doesn’t even nod when you walk in. Nia—yeah she’s young and learning—but there’s barely any proper guidance, just a lot of sitting on machines chatting with clients, especially on Fridays.
And Cem… always acting like he owns the place, slamming weights every session. Proper annoying when you’re just trying to train.
Check the reviews from before this recent five-star flood—you’ll see people saying the same things.
Not even my situation, but I feel for my friend who’s been dealing with bullying and harassment here. Told her not to leave—this needs sorting properly, and she’s got people backing her.

Terrible experience with gym member and 2 PTs
Reiterating my review here as they are trying to cover it up with some fake positive reviews after I posted it - My experience at PureGym Holloway has been extremely disappointing in the last two months. I reported being bullied, harassed and mocked for my accent by another member, yet no real accountability has been taken by management.
What makes this even more shocking is that the same people involved are featured on the gym’s Instagram as “role models.” It’s hard to understand how behaviour like that can be overlooked (I’ve attached a photo on my google review so you can clearly see the individual I am referring to, along with her PT, Cem, who appears to condone this behaviour by continuing to train with her).
I’m only still attending because I’ve been a long-standing member and have friends here who witnessed what happened and agree it was unfair. While there are a few gems in the staff, genuinely skilled PTs are rare, and some feel entitled to ask paying members to move equipment while they train their clients — something that happened to me more than once (with Nia and Cem).
Overall, the lack of accountability and professionalism has been very disappointing.

Good but horrible space.
Gym is well equipped, although I would recommend to add few more benches (I think there are only a couple if someone wanted to do bench press). The real issue is that second floor, where is most of the cardio session (treadmill and bikes), has got no windows!! How can you run on a treadmill for an hour against a wall and with no sunlight? That's mental

Everything went wrong
Everything went wrong. The site false advertises an untrue $0 joining fee. The staff knows NOTHING about anything and had to keep referring to the site for basic answers, even management. I can’t join without a UK bank account. The prices are high with basic amenities. I had to purchase a day pass to which I do not get multi gym access or massage chairs capabilities. This gym is a joke.

For all monthly memberships we do require a UK bank account which accepts direct debit payments; this is to set up the ongoing collections.
Alternatively if you do not have a UK bank account you can go for a Day Pass (1/3/7/30 days) or a fixed term membership (3-12 months)
These can be purchased with either a debit or credit card.
All promotions are valid for a limited period of time and at the time of re-joining, the promotion may have finished. Thanks, PureGym

Large well organised gym
Large gym... Plenty of equipment... Bring your own music cos their music is crap... Gym is clean and organised. Would like the staff to be more friendly..

Managed to get a great pull session.
Was busy but plenty of duplicate machines which is great at peak times. Feels like a tardis. Looks small outside but so many areas.
