Poor communication and lack of understanding

I know I've already given a review, latest story after my cocker was put to sleep. I phoned on Monday 10th june 25 to ask if they could hold off cremating our girl until we can see her for the last time to formally pay our respects. When I spoke to the lady she said she would pass this on the man who does cremations, but assured me that they had received our girl and she was in cold storage. She told me that the man doesn't work on Monday. I got a call from rase vets tuesday 11th june 25...3 days after we lost our girl after I wanted the above to be adhered to. The receptionist told me that Luna had already been cremated on monday when i was told that i wanted our girls cremation holding off. We are absolutely distraught how this could happen and how our girls cremation took place and we were never told until the next day. We've had no apology, from rase vets. How could they get everything so wrong with our beautiful girl. Ive now moved my labrador to a different vets as I refused to have him there much longer. I also asked for an itemised bill in reference to our girl to be emailed to us it never happened, my husband had to pick it up. We will be taking this further and we will fight for everything they've done wrong. Please don't use rase vets, poor substitute for a vet I gave 1 star as no option to give 0.

Rase veterinary at Boston

Best vet out there! Not once did i regret changing to this vet. I want to publicly thank our doctor Cheryl Ann Limb and her team for saving our baby Nika! They did an amazing job and I can always rely on them. I can always go to them with any question about my dogs and they are answered and explained so well. I recommend this vet is fantastic!!

Superb vets

I have my dogs and cats registered at the Newark Road branch. Since registering 2 years the vets and reception staff have demonstrated care, compassion and empathy at all times. I appreciate there has been some negative press recently but please don't tar the rest of the staff with the same brush. This is extremely unfair. Think of the negative impact your nasty reviews have on the wider team.

Not even worth one star

Not even worth one star. What an absolute shower of shit this practice is. 5 weeks and still no returned call. 3 weeks and no scans/xrays received. Complain to customer service why your just another logged call. Different when you want money, of which you chased me twice for an invoice that had already been paid. Disgusting service

I changed from Rase vets 8 months ago ..…

I changed from Rase vets about 8 months ago and all medical history was transfered to the new vets, unfortunelty my dog was ill and put to sleep on 9th May this year, 13th may I received a text message to say my dogs booster is due I called rase vets explained how bad this was and all the receptionist could say is I havent told them my dog was put to sleep, I told her over and over that my dog hadnt been a patient for the last 8 months due to moving vets her reply was it was a computer error I found this very flippent I said I will put a review about this she replied what just because of a tex , so thoughtless and rude

A week ago I took my dog in as it appeared to be on ‘ it’s last legs’ aged 14; lost appetite , trouble to walk as was week from not eating not drinking for over 48 hours . A vet looked and stated do you know he has heart murmur and kidney failure. My dog was taken to another room first second opinion , she stayed we would like to run some tests is this ok ? Wanting the best for my pet agreed . Charge was £350 my dog has since passed a ‘ stone ‘ which it must have swallowed. One week later my dog is back to its usual energetic self , I have not yet received any test results but my pet seems perfectly contented , enjoying food , exercise and is not in any discomfort whatsoever. I really love my dog as it such a faithful companion and part of the family but what a waste of £300 which had no positive impact on my dogs health or well being nothing achieved by that spend- I do feel ‘ripped off’

RASE vets Scunthorpe

I moved to RASE vets in Scunthorpe after my original vets in Brigg changed hands and I was no longer happy with the service.
RASE have been fantastic with all my animals and more recently my cat who has been diagnosed with cancer and is now having palliative care at home, whilst been monitored by the vets.
The vets have been extremely responsive and supportive and have been so kind not just to my cat but to me too. They have rung every day since his original diagnosis to check in on his wellbeing and answer any questions I may have.
I honestly can’t praise them enough at showing so much compassion and care at this extremely stressful and sad time.

had an awful experience with my son's…

had an awful experience with my son's dog teddy , had a mass that we were told wasn't cancer and not in his lymph nodes but by the time rase specialist vet finally got in touch after a week of phone calls , far too busy to call us , it had quadrupled in size and turned out to be an aggressive carcinoma cancer , finally operated but too late , it had spread , £1300 for nothing and now he has another lump right near where he had been operated on and again we've waited a week so far to see what the next step is , with no correspondence , no update ...nothing , no care for teddy's welfare at all !! we feel that they failed teddy at every opportunity !!

All about money

All about money, they came out to my horse and had zero compassion when they pts which I’ll not go into, previous had a £500 vets bill when they came to an abscess which they said was coming out through the coronet band and they couldn’t do much. She looked at it told me to call my farrier and asked me to poultice, she did nothing. Farrier came abscess in toe, I did call them to let them know they were wrong still charged £500

Terrible Business

This is not a vets , this is business that only cares about making money these days. I recently moved my pets to another vets as the care was appalling , I got charged £330 for 2 blood tests , and it turned out they didn’t even take enough blood to do the second test, they said it would take 2 weeks for results but after not hearing from them I rang to be told they only did 1 blood test and I needed to return my very poorly cat for more blood, by then it was too late and my cat had to be put to sleep , they didn’t even offer to refund me for the blood test they didn’t do!!

I will never ever trust any of my pets with Rase vets (Dunscroft) again , and I would urge anyone who cares about theirs to find an alternative vet asap.

Used this practise for close to 40…

Used this practise for close to 40 years.
Used to be caring and supportive- now you never see the same person - no personal service in fact hardly any service .
Wouldn’t ever use them again.
Only gave 1star as no option for zero

No duty of care for a poorly animal

Contacted this vet today regarding a family members dog who I believe is quite poorly. I have LPA for the family member who in my opinion is in need of help and I wanted to discuss the dogs needs but obviously they do not have a duty of care as they were unwilling to discuss the situation.

£50 a month Vip and get refused flea treatment every single month

Pay for vip my bill is 50 pounds roughly every single month an constantly been refused flea treatment when we have paid monthly it's all just a scam they don't notify you when injections are due so you have to pay the full amount again you get a text to say flea treatment is due and you ring to order it an they refuse iv cancelled all payments an I am changing vets this is beyond a joke now month after month they are taking 50 pounds for absolutely nothing no services is provided it's plain an simple a scam !!! AVOID PEOPLE

New vets , best vets the staff was so lovely, even shared there quality streets with us. Half price to other vets in town, shame on them. Certainly be using these ppl again

EMERGENCY SURGERY LEFT FOR 20 HOURS!!

We are registered with Aldervale Vets at Sutton on Sea. We have no problem with them at all. Polite and helpful and caring. But the problem arose because our dog Pear was scanned at Aldervale and a closed pyometra was diagnosed. We had suspected this. A closed pyometra is an emergency and a life threatening condition which can result in death with 24 to 48 hrs. Aldervale transferred our dig to Rase Vets at Market Rasen for emergency surgery. Our dog is still at Rase Vets as I write this and has been there since early Saturday evening on the 10th August!!
Communication with Rase does not exist. From our dog arriving there we telephoned 12 times throughout the night trying to find out what was happened. Each time we were told someone would get back to us but we never received a call. We were told about 10.30pm on Saturday by the receptionist that they were busy and it would probably be around 3am before she was dealt with. Remember she was admitted for emergency surgery.
We heard nothing further. No call after 3am so around 6am we rang and this time spoke to a vet who said she had still not had surgery and that the day staff would deal with her after 9am. She had been on fluids to try to make her kidney and liver functions better. NB both these functions are compromised by the very presence of pyometra which is why immediate surgery is required!!
Needless to say no-one contacted us after 9am so we rang yet again. This time we were told they were taking her off fluids at 2pm and would do a quick blood test to check kidney and liver levels.
Guess what!!! We left it until 3pm before we rang yet again. This time we were told they were going to operate now (3pm). They would ring.
Yes, you're right, no call.
So we rang. We asked why she had been left for 20 hours (TWENTY HOURS) without the emergency op. We did not receive an acceptable answer.

They said the operation was a little more complicated as they had problems getting the sutures to hold because the uterus was thin, I challenged them and said if they had carried out the EMERGENCY surgery immediately twenty hours before the uterus might not have deteriorated!

They would scan her first thing in the morning (Monday 14th) to make sure no internal bleeding overnight.
No call as usual , so we rang but no call back.

10.30am Monday we rang and the receptionist said she was just having the scan. Finally we received a call saying all OK. No internal bleeding and ready for discharge.

We are no waiting (again) to hear when their driver will be taking her back to our vets, Aldervale, in Sutton on sea.

We have never in all the years of having Dachshunds been so distressed by the actions of a vet but Rase vets at Market Rasen need to be investigated on many levels.
We intend to take the matter further once we have our dog safely back with us.

No compassion

Rase vets in Scunthorpe. They have absolutely no compassion at all, or care for a grieving pet owner. Just Money. I had to have my beloved dog put to sleep in 2019. I was totally distrort. They showed zero thought for how I felt. I was told it was run as a business. The cost was £229, how can you justify that ? It usually takes about 5 minutes. I feel that vets should NOT charge for euthanasia. If it's straightforward. No major health issues in general. My dog had signs of early dementia. And there was no other way. He would have progressively got worse. I was left traumatised and in despair.
I would never advise Rase Vets to anyone.

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Rase Vets has been appalling in their service.

They misdiagnosed my dog with arthritis, so started giving him Librela shots, as he did not have arthritis this had a really bad impact on him and he was losing complete control of his back end to the point we thought we’d have to help him walk with a sling. I tried to raise my concerns with them and they completely brushed me off and told me it was my fault as I needed to bring him in more frequently for shots. Well I’ve stopped taking him for them and his back end is back to normal.

Previously we’ve also had to make the vet check that they are giving him the right dose as a number of times they’ve had the dosage set for our other bigger dog rather than the smaller dog that needed the Librela.

Before this my dog went in for an X-ray so they could diagnose him. They kept him all day, only for them to ring just before they closed to say the vet wasn’t due to come in today and could we come pick him up before they closed. Picked him up and his neck and chest was shaved and there were lots of students at the vets. My dog is the friendliest dog you will ever meet, it’s known he’s an angel at the vets so we think he spent the day being used for practice.

They keep losing my information and getting it wrong. Such as the name of my animals, my postcode, my email, etc. Their customer service is absolutely appalling when it comes to ringing us back when they say and providing there services in the promised time.

My horse needed a blood test recently, they said we would get it back in 3 days. It’s been 14 and when we complained and tried to get a refund for the lack of results they tried to make us think they’d already sent it and it was our fault we hadn’t received it. I have been ringing the vets every day for these results, every day I was told the vet would ring the labs for the results and would ring us back later that day only to never receive a call back. Ironically, they’ve finally sent me the blood tests and it says the results were finished 10 days ago.

That’s not even taking into consideration the fact that the vet that came out to take my horses blood was obviously not an equine vet. She kept trying to take my horses blood, with her phone still in hand when my horse was obviously nervous. For some reason she was unable to take my horses blood whilst she was busy looking at her phone so they, thankfully, sent a more competent vet. However before she left she was accidentally texting me instead of a fellow vet about how wild and dangerous my horse was and that I needed a trainer. She also dropped a very long needle in the grass, which we gave to the next vet that came who was appalled.

As you can imagine we are moving all of our animals to a different vet. I do not recommend Rase Vets at all, even if they’re the closest vet to you, trust me the extra travel will be worth it.

Inexperienced , inadequate & over priced

Paid 4.5k for operation on pups foot was quoted 2.5k for amputation but told she would walk normally again , yet still have 3 legged dog and had to chase up 4 times to get referral sent through to healing waters - all straight out of uni with little experience - took bandage of back foot after only 2 weeks !! No wonder pins bent - then said don’t usually bandage internal operations !! I asked if she’d be happy having ankle operation and not having a pot on it after only 2 weeks !!! Big difference in price also ??? Son is now paying it back over 4 years for a dog that still only uses 3 legs - how do you appeal or get 2nd opinion ??
