This time the instant booking system didn't fail me..not sure if they have fixed up the overall glitch in their instant booking system. I was able to book last minute so I am very pleased with the service

The web site is misleading
The web site is misleading. In places it says collection available and then on the next page it is not. In some places it say vouchers available and the next page it needs to know a date. Confusing, frustrating and time wasting.

Not worth the effort
Had a horrible time securing a hotel using my voucher.
Had to two hotels cancel immediately due to a mismatch on available dates between Red Balloon and the vendor.
Took a week of back and forth to get the voucher refunded each time.
After eventually getting a experience booked. The vendor demanded a $200 hold on my card which was never mentioned and th experience left much to be desired.
Overall not a great experience and would not recommend it

We do recommend booking in advance as suppliers can book out ahead of time. We will also look into the security bond requirement with the supplier and ensure this information is clearly noted on the product page moving forward.
