I thought I was alone. Looks like other people have issues with this company when it comes to the Heathrow vortex protection. they are the assessor, scaffolding company, roofer, and quality inspect their own works. Left the property in shambolic manner. Broken tiles when erecting scaffolding, put foot through ceiling and then damaged property when dismantling. I have a roof which is equivalent to 338 shower trays that drain into one outlet the size of a ruler. That's right, one outlet on a parapet. They used the wrong lead codes, changed the fabric of a listed building without consent etc etc. Ended up with enforcement action against me by the council. Got a report from a specialist conservation company that condemned all the works. They haven't got a clue what they are doing. When I try raising this with NRFC and LRA the company shut down the checks by saying the client is Heathrow and not me. And of course Heathrow did nothing. Avoid this company like the plague.

Richardson Roofing is the sole roofing contractor under the Heathrow Vortex scheme, additionally they are allowed to self certify their work meaning that neither Building Control nor the supposed surveyors for Heathrow Vortex will even look at their work. This means that they can do as they wish and leave us, the home damaged, in untenable situations.

The replaced the roof on my home, having ordered for the wrong roof structure (they drew a fully pitched design and I have a dormer roof) and still installing it, this means I now have no proper insulation in the roof cavity that was not part of the design, and the Velux windows are improperly positioned up against a purlin they installed at the wrong height. Their solution after I complained to them directly, was to shove Rockwool down the cavity ceilings at the end of the job (causing condensation and still not insulating properly) and fill in/cut around the improperly fitted windows (meaning a further lack of insulation).

Like all things government related, the process for raising complaints and getting issues rectified is so convoluted and bureaucratic, that I am sure most home owners who have suffered under Vortex strikes and RR's poor workmanship have just had to put up with it. The process is to raise a complaint with the Roofing Competent Persons Scheme:

Which I have now done as Richardson has no intention of actually upholding the required standards. Avoid at all costs, hopefully with enough complaints residents will be able to select a supplier who upholds good workmanship standards.
