Overall a great experience with Richer Sounds.

My first visit to Richer Sounds in Reigate to purchase a TV. Very impressed by the layout of the store which provided an opportunity to easily compare the different makes and models available - something that I didnt experience at other retailers I had previously visited. Staff were very helpful and I am extremely pleased with my purchase.

Everything was great,the store looked amazing, we chose a product we liked,with the help of a member of staff who guided us through our purchase,the home cinema room we had the united tested for us was also excellent, great store,great staff.

Yet again ian and the team at richer sounds Reigate patiently guided me through my best options ( this time a tv and stand ) , and having got it home and installed it im over the moon, not that im surprised as the customer care and passion for the products they recommend are always second to none , and of course the 6 year guarantee is fantastic

I have built almost an entire home entertainment system over the years and upgraded a few times and 99% of that was purchased through Richer Sounds. There must be a reason!

I’ve just upgraded from Dali Zensor Floorstanders (bought new, some years ago) to an open box pair of Dali Oberon 7’s, which had only been open and used for about an hour. Had them through a couple of days ago and couldn’t be happier.

Following a generous and genuine response from Richer Sounds Customer Services to the review below I should acknowledge that response. I shall leave the saga below as originally posted but I have agreed with Richer Sounds that to an extent the affair is a matter of unfortunate coincidences. I am grateful for my remarks being taken seriously.

I contacted your Reigate Branch by phone on Monday 7 September to purchase a tv. You were unable or unwilling to offer a home survey, as your website had promised. A 43-inch set was recommended and my scart-connected Virgin box would also need to be replaced. I was offered a set at £319.

Impressed by a friend’s new LG set and his enthusiasm about your Brighton branch I phoned Reigate again on Tuesday 8 September. I'd found on your website a 43 inch LG QNEA 82A6B at £359 and asked to order one of those. You said it was unavailable, as was another slightly cheaper LG set, so I settled on a more expensive LG at £539 to be delivered on Monday 14 September.

I processed at once the payment link which came promptly, and then ordered from Virgin a new TV360 box, on the understanding that your installer would be able to get everything up and running.

Shortly afterwards (still 8 September) you phoned - I missed the call and you backed it up by e-mail - to say that the LG set could now not be delivered until 21 September earliest.

I then spent irritating time and effort with Virgin to ensure their new 360 box might be activated after longer than the five days to do so which they envisaged.

Left frustrated, I e-mailed your branch on Tuesday 15 September to confirm arrival of the Virgin box and to suggest buying a different set which might be delivered and installed at once. An automated response offered an e-mail reply within 24 hours. None came. So I came to the shop on Wednesday 16 September where your younger assistant Oliver was helpful, and saved me money, as I settled on a much less expensive Philips set, for delivery to me Thu 17 September. This was achieved and at least the refund was swiftly processed. Your installer phoned to offer Tuesday afternoon installation on 22 September.

When your excellent installer Dean removed the set from its packaging on 22 September the screen was cracked.

Dean very kindly went above and beyond to sort things out with your shop and brought a replacement Philips, and installed it, on Monday 28 September. He deserves enormous credit, and my gratitude.

There was no further contact from your Reigate Branch. A word of apology wouldn't have hurt.

As a pensioner reliant on the service and expert advice of others I have to say that this purchase rapidly became a very sorry three-week-long story. The new Philips set is excellent, thank goodness, but you have failed to gain this customer for life.

Great individual attention in the shop. All our questions were answered very clearly. Clear advice given. After support was offered if we require help.

Fantastic product, delivered quickly

Described the item options, then detailed the finer points of each. Pleasant and informative and had good knowledge of the stock.

I was only shopping for bookshelf speakers - a fairly modest purchase - but the staff were patient and helpful, enabling the audiophile in me to feel I had made a careful selection, despite my limited budget! I am very happy with my purchase.

Staff friendly and knowledgeable and seemed unbiased in their views, even though I was buying at the cheaper end of the hifi market. I have over the last 7 years purchased most of my electronics from Richer Sounds, and in particular the Reigate branch.
