They were decent coats at a competitive price back in the 90s, but they’re just overpriced half decent coats now, Patagonia or Rab are ten times better quality than Rohan and cheaper!
I have bought Rohan products for about 25+ years. Recently I noticed a fall in quality of clothing, not quite as well made, but still the same pricing. I do not mind paying for quality, but this is no longer a quality product.
Further more customer service is appalling, gone are the days when this was a decent company.
I purchased 3 pairs of winter trousers in the Rohan December online sale. I returned the trousers to the Preston store, one pair I exchanged for a larger size and different colour but the other two pairs did not actually measure the label size and they were returned at the store on Dec 31/22. I still have not received my refund, 10 days later. This is extremely disappointing service from a company like Rohan.
I'm a long-term fan of Rohan, but just recently I completed two reviews on their website.
One in praise of their Winter bags - which they published.
One criticising their Ranger belt for not being washable - which they DID NOT publish.
So, while Rohan generally sell good stuff, please bear in mind that the reviews they publish on their own site are SELECTIVE.
I have been wearing Rohan cloths for 25+ years. Some of the first ones I purchased are still being worn albeit in my workshop etc. The clothes are extremely hard wearing and easy to care for. If there is a problem a quick phone call and staff are very helpful and the problem gets sorted.
I used to get abuse in my family for wearing Rohan clothes all the time, but now some of them have been converted!
I will certainly be buying Rohan in the future.
Rohan employ DPD for delivery so I would advise you to visit their shops by all means but do not order online as you may be driven insane by DPD's incompetence. Of course, Rohan must take blame for employing such fools
Missing voucher, uninterested staff, conflicting stories… my father bought token in the meantime and recieved it… still waiting on mine … the Royal Mail card ain’t cutting it as have bought other things during this time and received them. TOTAL BREACH OF CONTRACT AND WILL TAKE IT TO CIVIL COURTS
I must thank Rohan for their repair service. They fitted a new zip to my 21 year old Icepak jacket giving it a new lease of life. I have used numerous Rohan products over the past 30 years and cannot fault any of them. It's a pity, however, that they discontinued the brass snap closures to shirts that were once available - so much quicker and more secure than buttons.
Rohan HQ just replaced a jacket that was 18 months old after it failed. I sent it back and tested it and concurred and a replacement which exceptional service
Top quality products plus an excellent service from the Stratford upon Avon store and the Rohan network as always.
I purchased a jacket direct from Rohan. After wearing it six or so times it started to leak. I was advised to try and wash it and cool iron it. It still leaked. I suggested I send it in to be tested. Rohan agreed and called within 2 days of receipt to say it leaked. Rohan then reproofed it and retested it. Rohan agreed the jacket was not fit for purpose. I was offered gift vouchers or a replacement jacket. I opted for the replacement which arrived very promptly. The new jacket repels rain very efficiently. Very good customer service, just make contact with them and explain your situation, they will guide you through the possible options.
We were on holiday in Fife and visited the St Andrew’s Rohan shop. Staff very helpful especially Richard. We as a family wear a lot of Rohan clothes, footwear, and have many accessories. Love their towels, we use them daily instead of cotton.
I have a pair of Oboz walking shoes bought December that were comfortable for short walks with our dogs but when on holiday in June for our anniversary, got a very bad blister on the underside of my big toe on my right foot. I mentioned this to Richard as I thought the inside was faulty, he apologised and asked me to bring it into the store for a look and if it was he would replace them.
I took them in the next day and saw Ian who was also extremely helpful.
Compared to my local store the St Andrew’s store was fabulous good layout, helpful but not pushy and considerate. Purchased items in their sale and did their best to resolve the shoe issue.
Had a waterproof jacket from Rohan and followed the washing instructions and the inside of the jacket completely fell apart. I took 8 detailed pictures and binned the jacket after spending 20 minutes removing all the small pieces from the washing machine. Sent Rohan the pictures and explained what had happened.
The feedback was hugely condescending and 100% focused on not having to compensate. Assuring me that it has not happened on other jackets which is little assurance when the one I bought completely fell apart. I 100% suggest you do not buy their products. Incredibly unhelpful, defensive customer service which seems entirely focused on saving money. It felt like I was talking to an underwriter from an insurance company rather than a retail brand.

All the staff at Kingston deserve a lot of praise, I hope the management of Rohan look after all of them & reward them with a big pay rise!

Have been using Rohan for 30 years. Bought in the sale and used deliver to store. Could not believe my eyes. Product in a clear bag with all my details printed on a form clearly visible to all. I had given these details for the purchase but had not given consent for all of the supply chain to see.
Complained but told that is their system to make it easier for THEM with no concept about data management and fraud.
Have complained formally to the Information Commissioners Office but because of a backlog there may be a delay until they are able to look at this.
So if you don’t want all your personal details including e mail and phone numbers to be visible to everyone don’t use this service. I will not be using this system again and because of the poor response from customer services probably not be using Rohan again.
Despite Rohan suggesting this is OK it’s not. I did not consent to my data being used in this way and it’s unnecessary for the warehouse or Shop to have these details. Notifications come centrally and it has a name and get no which is all that is required. Not reassured at all and will not use again and now have a very nasty taste in my mouth re Rohan. I thought they would know better.

It has become pointless visiting Rohan shops. I made a a special trip to Marlborough today to buy some clothing that was in the sale. I don't expect to get everything I wanted, but I got zero because every single sale item in my size was not available. I could have paid full price of course for the items I wanted but in a colour that was not on sale. I'm beginning to think that Rohan sales are a scam to entice you into buying full priced products. I love Rohan stuff, but I'm not paying £72 for a pair of shorts :-)
I regularly receive the fliers and marketing material from Rohan advertising sales etc. and have long been disturbed by the lack of diversity of the models in it. They are always the same types, white, clean limbed, slim, individuals. You seem not to sell products to the wide variety of people who actually live in the UK, and might be interested in your products. A little diversity would be welcome.
I live in an EU country while Rohan is a UK country.
Bought a pair of shorts for approximately 80 euros and ended up with customs duty charges of approximately 36 euro due to Brexit charges. I had looked on Rohan site for delivery information and it only showed freight rates, estimated delivery dates and nothing else. Or at lest I thought it did. I subsequently went back and found that clicking on the delivery title brought up a drop down list which refers to customs charges being payable in country of importation. However, this only appears a few seconds after you click it and is literally only displayed for one second. I timed it. Very convenient for Rohan but very inconvenient and costly for unwary customers in the EU. P.S. I tried to post this review via Trustpilot on the Rohan site and it would not accept it.
I was in your stow on the wold branch and would just like to say how incredibly rude and uninterested the staff are! Especially the gentleman named Paul. I ended up in a lovely shop just down the road and found exactly what I was looking for with staff that actually cared to acknowledge my presence the polar opposite of Rohan! Just an extra note: Paul it would seem is leaving 5 star reviews for his own place of work and 1 star reviews for other local businesses eg Mash and Humphries Shoes, how charming to be trying to drag local businesses down!
