Salford City Council Reviews 

The WORST organisation I have EVER had to deal with. Would give 0 stars if I could as 1 star is way too generous to them.

Harrassed me on 3 different occasions with threats of fines, court hearings etc over unpaid tax when I had in fact paid my tax every single month and every time it turned out it was THEIR mistake - never recieved any apologies though of course. I can't put into words just how stressful this was.

Impossible to contact - web chat is useless and always unavailable, Twitter account have no rights/access to any info and the phone line is always a queue of 20+ and many a time when I have finally got through the people working for them have just hung up on me mid conversation. I don't know how they get away with being so so so useless. It's awful.

The staff I spoke to on the phone were always rude, disintrerested and downright rude.

You can understand why their rating on Google and TrustPilot is some of the worst I have ever seen.

I feel sorry for anyone in Salford who is forced to deal with them.

I`ve been chasing them for a month to fix my council tax bill. Today I wanted to use the web chat option on the website, but the assistant was so rude, she just said she couldn`t help me and closed the chat without even explaining why or redirecting me?! After that, I`ve called them to be transferred to another line and now I`m number 14 in te queue.... absolutel joke.

I'm not happy Salford council passing on people personal info to third party companys you can't pass on people info data protection act quite few customers have been told United utilities your passing on info about customers to them and there not liasing with customers and going behind customers backs to get info and there taking money out people banks or benefit without permission it wrong people not happy the government doesn't care about the people it disgust me other wise they would fix everything I want to complain the people are not happy with the way things are stop cost living crisis put wages up benefits up cut school holidays down stop high shopping prices put cap on every thing especially food electric make better working hours for people with kids there will be more crime people will riot and steal things
people arnt happy at all the people need cost living extra payments again things are getting worse Salford assist doesn't answer the phone when you ring or when you apply for help few people have applied the government letting all people down the money dosnt tally up to what everyone paying out on bills food electric constant increase in prices no one Gona end up with nothing the people will turn against the government council there not doing enough for the people it disgusting

What a disgrace of a council..dealing with a death and an estate and they have no regard for anyone and it's all about the money. Don't reply to emails and rather than put an account on hold why estate admin is dealt with they pass onto debt collectors, what a disgusting thing to do to people that are in a situation through no fault of their own.. but then they have regulations to stick too don't they and couldn't care less about how they actually treat people.

Absolutely abysmal, don’t reply to emails. Got a ticket for using a bus lane in Manchester, every time I tried to enter a road there was a road block but I find out later that if you approached the road block somebody would let you through which did not make any sense at all. When you are not sure where you are going and most of the roads in that area are blocked it is quite easy to panic. The traffic layout in Manchester is probably the poorest in the country.
The website that took the payments had a terrible layout, it was a joke that when you selected the option to pay the fine it went into a check out basket, like you were doing shopping, what a joke. A 10 year old could design a better website.

IF YOU WANT TO GET A COPY OF ANY CERTIFICATE ESPECIALLY BIRTH CERTIFICATE DON'T GET IT ONLINE THEY'LL GET YOUR MONEY AND NO REFUND OR THE CERTIFICATES.... THEY HAVE ON THEIR WEBSITE TO REQUEST THERE BUT IS A SCAM THEY RIP YOU OFF AND THEN TELL YOU TO GET THEM WITH MANCHESTER REGISTRATION OFFICE AND IS THE SAME THING ONLINE YOU PAY YOU DON'T GET YOUR CERTIFICATE NOR THE REFUND SO THEIR ONLINE REQUEST IS A SCAM JUST TO RIP YOU OFF THE BEST THING IS TO GO THERE AND GET IT THERE TO NOT GET RIPPED OFF TWICE IN THEIR WEBSITE 🤬

I asked for help from salford assist sent my paperwork through to them and not heard anything since tried to ring but they pick the phone up and then put it back down again..
Disgraceful sent a screenshot of my electric and gas on emergency but nothing they will probably contact me when i dont need the help anymore..

They're trying to get a student to pay council tax and not giving an exemption even with multiple authorized pieces of documents of my status as a student

No star! Especially the ones that work for car parking fines!

when you order steak and you get spam, when you vote labour you get these tyrants.

Wow absolutely disgusting lady on the early help child services Salford! You express your concern about a child and tell her that the child is in a lot of pain and suffering, and all she has to offer is “it’s not our department’s job “ with indifference in her voice. When you confront her about her attitude she calls you rude and hangs up on you!

These monsters are in child services? What are they being paid for? They have zero empathy or compassion or interest in children’s safety. They’re just bureaucratic robots with a bunch of scripted cliches to offer you on the phone

Shambles!!!! Absolute shambles!!! Misleading gym membership states cancel anytime, one month cancellation period etc….. simply putting if you cancel 1 day after the payment date for that calendar month you have to pay for that month and the following!! Eg payment 1st Nov, cancel 2nd Nov you have to pay until 31st Dec.

When contacting Salford council there was no movement on the so called terms and conditions just basically pay it….. shocking to actually think the people who work there are from Salford and like us all probably struggling with the current cost of living. Salford council should be ashamed for themselves!!!

Sen Team are useless .Have failed my son terribly and continue to do so. For two years they couldn't find him a Sen school that had places so he was out of school then I finally find one because the caseworker couldn't be bothered and they promised transport all to be told after his start date that there are no passenger assistants available and he can't get to the school. They are a disgrace . Then they have expected me with five kids to do four journeys to Oldham and back every day .The caseworker couldn't care less . As useless as a paper bag on a wet day. She's so useless that she is the one that messed transport up then LIED and tried to blame transport , only I found out from transport that she's a liar and it was her that messed it up. Her manager is a very nasty piece of work. Left me and five children in financial hardship by breaking an agreement that we had . Then had the cheek to say have a good weekend after he learned that we were left with nothing . Sick .
They are absolute liars and will do what they can to cover each others back. I had to go to the papers about them and my story was printed by the Manchester evening news and the Sun. Other people have spoken out about them too .

Always record . Never ever deal with these people without recording everything.

Worst council ever. Look at their reviews . It really does speak volumes .

Update : Salford council reported my review because I mentioned their names as they don't want people to know who they are but they are well known on Facebook amongst local Sen parents as they have failed many other children also.

Worst council in UK, they don’t answer our emails and requests and moreover they keep sending us letters charging us for council tax ridiculous amounts and no explanations what so ever… there are no positive reviews, they’re all negative so there clearly is something wrong with this council …

Rude and irresponsible. They don't want to do their job. I wrote a complaint about the noise and for almost 2 years nothing was done. They make ridiculous excuses and make me look like a fool. Devid Rhodes from Counsil, came to me unannounced, acted rude, brought me to tears and then left slamming the door. It was unprofessional and disrespectful. I do not understand why this organization exists if there is no sense from it ???Worst Counsil in Manchester!!!

Disgusting to say the least, reported to action fraud and police and Ed flagged and are under investigation my personal details were detained and data was broken into via Abigail ward now Abigail Dalton from Walkden salford, a social worker! I’ve
Reported to Susan hill and followed all complaints procedure months later then was closed no explanation nothing I will not drop this it’s now with the press these need exposing to the people they are employing it’s vile behaviour jepodising the safety of children! I have evidence that will be being uploaded to social media and YouTube! This social worker will get her vile kids to abuse you with vile language and threats are second to non and even calling the police filth so much for a social worker!
Also a very bad cocain addict and alcoholic disgusting!

Overnight weekday repairs on Weaste, Salford Metrolink stop with 'Holemasters'... think it's alright for overnight works to be carried out for multiple weeks (21/03/2022 to 01/04/2022) in a row between 1:30-4am... Not a care in the world for Salford residents around.

Which moron authorised this?! Just keep it to the daytime and close the line a week early like everywhere else in Manchester.

Already suffer with depression, but I am hard-working citizen and work over 60 hours a week. Last thing I want is to be kept up for 3+ hours with heavy drills all night.

The reception staff for council tax at the gateway swinton are the rudest most ignorant and arrogant people i have ever come across....they treat everybody like imbeciles.......i think some training on customer service would benefit them massively. Avoid going if possible
