My experience with SCCD's Level 3 Teaching Assistant course was exceptional. The course content was excellent, providing an ideal balance of theory and practical skills. The true highlight, however, was the instruction from Shaaira and Matthew. They were extremely supportive and knowledgeable, consistently offering practical tips that went beyond the textbook. Their advice on school interviews, classroom dynamics, and managing various situations with children was invaluable.
The placement team also deserves high praise. The process was seamless, and they placed me at a wonderful, positive school where I gained vital practical experience. Thanks to SCCD and their outstanding team, I feel fully prepared to start my role as a Teaching Assistant. I highly recommend this course to anyone interested in entering the field.

SCCD as a training provider has seasoned and well experienced lecturers as well as students support officers. They are proactive and intentional in their approach to issues concerning getting the best for all learners. Each learner is unique and given maximum support to succeed

I had an excellent enriching experience studying at SCCD, I had a warm welcome and always felt a sense of belonging to the College. My experience was great because of how the lessons were delivered to the best of our knowledge. Many support was available from tutors. I have completed my course and received my certificate and I’m applying for my QTLS, with help from Shaaira again. This is awesome.

I built my confindence and collaborative relationships in learning process, raised my communication and social skills, along with content knowledge.

Specially support and guidance provided by sccd team is so great. They provide their best so each and every trainee do their best.

I will recommend SCCD to every teacher I know who wants to be trained and be equipped. In fact, I have recommended two teaches already and they are on the training. I love SCCD as a teacher training provider because of their teaching and learning methods, strategies, and techniques. These strategies ensure effective and efficient teaching and learning in my class. I have learned a lot and I am grateful I joined SCCD.

My journey at SCCD has been somewhat a rollercoaster. There were several moments where I contemplated giving up on the whole process and felt unsure of things but I’m really pleased that I kept on going.

Despite the rollercoaster journey, what I can do is give a big thank you to Ben my coordinator for taking the time to organise my placements, speak with me on numerous occasions and give me lots of encouragement and feedback both in person and over the phone. I believe this intervention was vital in my journey and ensured that I put in the effort as he checked in on my progress and was invested in helping me achieve my goal of being a qualified teacher.

I also want to express gratitude to my lecturer Bernard who was extremely knowledgeable and delivered many lectures ensuring everyone left having learned something new and to Shaaira as she works tirelessly to ensure all work is delivered to high standards despite occasional challenges - she wants the best for everyone at SCCD which I have grown to learn and understand so thank you for not giving up on anyone.

Overall, this experience has made me grow and develop as a person which I am grateful for.

My time at SCCD has truly shaped me, not just in terms of education, but as a person. There were moments when things got really difficult for me, and I wasn’t always sure I could keep going. But the support I received from my teachers and the staff made all the difference.

They never treated me like just another student. They took the time to check in, to listen, and to understand what I was going through, even when I couldn’t always put it into words. Whether it was helping me catch up on work or simply offering a quiet space when I needed it, they were always there.

The way they supported me through everything gave me the confidence to keep pushing forward. I’ve grown so much, not only in my studies but in how I see myself and what I’m capable of.

I’ll always be thankful for the patience, care, and belief this school gave me when I needed it most. It’s something I won’t forget.

Well tailored training which suits to get into teaching. Shaaira was best in giving lectures which is the best thing during the training.

I am Oluwaniyi Olayemi, I join SCCD Training in June 2024. The institution has been a great place to learn. A citadel of knowledge that prioritise diversity, equity and inclusiveness in learning and strategically ensure the success of every learners without prejudice.

The training was organised by my social housing provider to help people wanting to work with children. The trainer was knowledgeable and provided additional support when needed. I really enjoyed my experience at the placement school. The school staff were very friendly and supportive. The children were lovely, curious and at times lively and were a joy to be with.

The course covered a wide range of essential topics, from understanding diverse learning needs and supporting students with special educational needs, to effective communication with teachers and parents, and practical classroom support techniques. Every module felt relevant and thoughtfully designed, ensuring a holistic understanding of the TA role.

I am absolutely delighted to share my experience with the SCCD training course. Thanks to the comprehensive and practical education I received, I am now employed by the very school where I completed my placement, and I couldn't be more grateful for this incredible outcome!

I am Misbah Mustafa and I have done my Level 3 diploma with SCCD Ltd.It has become such a wonderful experience.Now I am placed in Kaizen primary school by SCCD for class room experience that is also a part of training.I must say that this school is great.All staff members and management are highly professional and dedicated. I enjoyed and learnt a lot by working there.

I have joined SCCD Training last year and completed my course in supporting teaching and learning. I am really grateful for this experience. The lectures were amazing, very knowledgeable and always ready to help.
